Has anyone here ever palyed an absolutely amazing game... only to find out it went under the radar? I played this game Arcanum: of steamworks and magik obscura by troika (currently out of business). It was the best game I ever played (tied with minecraft)! It was made by the same guys who made the original fallout and is about technology being introduced to the humans, who use magick for eveything. It is awesome! has anyone played this? Does anyone else have a good game that is unkown to most people?
Not sure if these count since its indie and freeware, but I feel I must let people know about because, I can.
Explosionade (xbox indie game, 80 ms,amazing speedrun game) Weapon of choice (xbox indie, 400 ms, another amazing game by the same group that did explosionade) Transcendence (freeware, space adventure game like flatspace or star control http://www.neurohack.com/transcendence/ Rougue survivor rogue game about zombie.good fun (http://roguesurvivor.blogspot.com/)
Now for some game you can go buy in a store (at one point or another)
Blast Works (Wii, tumiki fighters clone that is sooo dope)
TOMBA!!!!! 1 & 2 (psx)
Yanya Caballista: City Skater (ps2 arcade skateboarding game.had really cool controls)
Cladun: this is an RPG (psp psn game by NISamerica, so much fun for 20 dollars)
Deus Ex Machina for the ZX Spectrum.
It was less of a game and more of an experiment.
You synced the game up to an audio casette that played the soundtrack.
It makes me think a bit of an early take on an interactive scifi musical with a bit of shakespeare.
I read it had quite a few heavy names on it back in it's time, like Ian Dury.
Didn't age well, naturally, but I still listen to the tape once in a while, because it's that good.
www.deusexmachina2.com is the platform for the sequel in development.
You can also find a let's play and the tapes in higher quality there.

And like the baseless fabric of this vision, the cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, the solemn temples, the giant Screen itself, all of which we inherit shall dissolve. And, like an insubstantial pageant faded, leave not a byte behind.
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.
It's a platformer for the PS2 and is the sequel to Klonoa: Door To Phantomile for the PSX.
YUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSs I love that game. Still need to purchase it, it's one of those games I always rented from the local store. One of the best platformers on a non-PC platform.
I don't think KS is that unknown, it's definitely Nifflas' most popular game.
LOOM on the other hand, is definitely something not many people have played. Which is too bad, since it boasts both a unique storyline, and a neat control scheme that reminds me of the Ocarina of Time. Plus it's short and sweet, not overstaying its welcome. A very good point-and-click, I must say.

Savage 2
absolutley amazing, so epic that my eyes and fingers burn after each 1 hour long game usually with 41 other people.
the only problem is that the learning curve is wicked high, for the first week or so i absoluley sucked and couldnt kill anyone

Of course... everything made by Troika was good.
One really good game that didn't receive a lot of attention was Terranigma. I can't think of any others atm.
Nightmare House 2. It's a stand-alone horror game mod using Valve's Source engine. It's based off the original Nightmare House, which was originally just a single map, (as I recall.) and even includes it in the prologue of the second game.
NH2 is amazing, and I even did a Let's Play on it similar to that of Freeman's Mind (Where I embodied the protagonist of the game's story rather than commented on it in a third-person objective way.) because it was so awesome. If you have Half-Life 2 you should try it, you can download it from WeCreateStuff's website here.
