Uses a different targeting system than most MMORPGs. Highlight of the game is these big wars over land. Right now there's only two nations fighting for land, but apparently there will be 5 later down the line. [5 continents for each, and 1 neutral in the middle.]
The battles sort of remind me of Savage 2. 50 people on each side, players can create buildings during the match. [Like arrow towers and stuff.]
Also, since the game is in OB1 and they want players to get a feel for the battles, there's an NPC that will jack your level up to 20 immediately.
I'm Taz on Netzavare. Yelsord has been pwning us, but we're starting to take our land back. :3
That's really irritating, you know. I didn't post the game so that Zuriki and Doomwaffle could decide whether it was worthy or not.
I posted for those who would be interested.
If it's not your thing and you wouldn't even consider playing it, that's great, **** off. I don't care about the opinion of some close-minded fgt who hasn't even touched the game.
But I do have a problem with entering a thread to contribute nothing but negativity, especially in a condescending manner. Not that it's the first time either of you have done that, still.
Additionally, I've played enough SQEE games to know that it's very rare for any RPG to break the mould. The rest a pretty much carbon copies of each other.
I actually DID play this, and I found it lacking. Enix hasn't done a thing for me lately, but they didn't have a lot to do with making this (they just had a hand in the publishing; the developing team is some unknown - Fenix Soft).
Action-y, which is good; rigid, which is bad. The targeting doesn't seem to typically make a lot of sense (I'll flat out miss and my opponent will take damage, then I'll be dead-on and they'll frolic away unharmed). You don't get much in the way of a tutorial, the NPCs are all wooden and bland, and worst of all is that it is uuuugly. I'm not a graphics *****, but if I don't even LIKE my character's appearance, I'm much less motivated to play.
Two bright spots in all this: the music is fantastic (this is where Enix earns the name-drop, I believe). I've been a huge Sakimoto fan ever since I first played Tactics back in the glory days, and he hasn't lost his touch. Secondly, it's an early, EARLY beta; the game could potentially improve to a much more enjoyable level. Will it? Probably not. From what I experienced, there isn't much to distinguish this game from any other free to play MMO, and I've played better.
It's in Open Beta 1. [Chars will be deleted.]

GENERIC RPG #653464: RISE OF THE GENERIC BAD MONSTER BOSS
Pllleassseee.
+1
I'm starting to think we're going to run out of titles someday. Good thing they only choose ridiculous names.

Relic of a bygone age.
