Pretty awesome game if you ask me. It's like Oblivion if you've played that, except it is set on Earth in 2277. Basically, you live in a vault because the whole Earth's basically a wasteland with radiated mutants, you create a guy, choose your stats, take this test to determine your skills, then your dad runs away and you chase him. You can stray away from the main quests and do other things, so you can basically do whatever you want. It has pretty nice graphics too. It's really gory too, you can blow off other people's or creatures body parts and/or blow them up.

Also, you can do tons of other things in Fallout 3 besides the main quest, that's why I like it.
... And the bloody mess perk. That always made things fun.
Nothing says realism like punching someone and having their limbs fly off.
And that's why it is awesome.
