When people are arguing/sleeping/whatever on a wide path, and it completely prevents anyone from traveling along said path (until some point later in the game after the people have moved on). Apparently, simply saying, "excuse me," and stepping around people isn't an option in video game universes.

Powerful videogame characters that have the ability to destroy every boss within the game can't get through a locked wooden door until they find the key.
Whenever a boss enemy has a fatal weakness, and rather than protect and armor that weakness, he decides to draw attention to it by having it bathed in light with arrows pointing at it. I mean, thanks for the tip, but what exactly were you hoping to accomplish?

lol yea, and in a similar vein I was playing Battlefield and driving an M1A1 tank and I got stopped by a waist high pile of sandbags. *sigh*
I also find it funny in an RPG where you are the hero, and everyone knows you are the only person to save their town from whatever baddie is threatening it, but the jerks still want you to pay for arms & equipment. I'm trying to save your butts!! At least give me some healing potions on the house, geesh lol.

Here's one opinion that might bother some people. In many games (especially RPGs) the skimpier the female armor, the more protection it provides. The trend has me going "What?!?" a LOT of times. I guess the "rule of cool" is in play here. Or rather the developers pandering to the male audience. Such skimpy armor (like a chain metal string that barely covers anything) wouldn't even be called armor. And even if the armor covered the body enough to provide protection, the shaped chest area would be a nice guide for an armor piercing arrow that wanted to shoot through the heart...
Going along with that, one thing I see in a lot of MMOs is bosses with an "invincibility mode". At low levels it probably makes the boss more challenging, but at higher levels, it just makes the fight tedious, as the boss isn't much of a threat, but still nullifies all your attacks for a couple minutes. Ugh.

Seriously though, how is it that some main characters are trained professionals but don't know one simple thing such as swimming?
Many people don't realize this, but most video game heroes are actually descendants of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Oh come on, who doesn't enjoy collecting the bat guano in RFK!?
This dislike is very specific to Borderlands, but I hate the loot midgets (or worse, their counter-part in Tiny Tina's DLC...). Never a pleasant surprise.
Or, for those of us who play Pokemon:

They're only an annoyance if you don't buy repels.
Sure, but they're still an annoyance for making you have to re-apply the repel every few steps.

So you get the most powerful weapon in the game. It can one hit kill anything, even entire groups of enemies. Bosses fear this weapon because it's more powerful than anything they have up their sleeves. You are a godlike being with this weapon, and it would be a coveted part of your arsenal except... you get it RIGHT AT THE END of the game and there's no New Game Plus that lets you use it...
...basically you get the superweapon at a time in the game when it's pointless and unusable...

Y'know? I bought Minecraft because I thought it was a war game where you had to create tactically placed proximity explosive devices...
When the bosses are easy-moderately difficult, and then the final boss is suddenly dramatically harder.
