Welcome to Wrath of the Divine, an action packed adventure.
Let's start this off right: You are a hero. What kind, who knows. You have traveled to the land of Eternia for your own reason, which is nobody's business but yours. In this fine country, we have run into a bit of an issue: Humans have strayed from the path of the Gods, causing anger to boil. Unleashing their fury, the Gods of Eternia have sent a race of monsters, fueled by pure insanity, to fight against us. One man or woman is nothing compared to them, two having a slight chance, multiple with high possibilities of victory. However, these statistics are against a single one of those foul beasts. We call those evil creatures "Tainted."
This is where You come into play. Having been successful in dispatching one or two on your own, you have been gathered here to help. Luckily, we humans aren't alone. We have multiple classes of characters, each with unique and special abilities.
Classes -
- Soldier: Being familiar with most combat techniques, you consider yourself a "Jack-Of-All-Trades", being able to skewer an enemy with a knife, or place loads of bullets into their brain, you can do most mortal skills. However, you only find yourself a master in one such skill, while the others are just decent.
- Sniper: The expert of Long-Range devices, you find yourself mastering Bows, Sniper Rifles, and the occasional Mortar, anything to kill the enemy from a same distance. However, you aren't able to take as many physical blows as others, as you are slightly more fragile. You are also pretty good with a knife, for close range encounters.
- Beast Master: Being able to tame most animals within minutes, you find the ability to control animals and make them do your bidding easier than actual fighting. However, if you are forced into it, you would prefer a Knife or a Shotgun, anything for easy dispatching as a fail safe.
- Dryad: Usually female, this race of nature beings are masters of agriculture. Ever felt like making a tree grow rapidly, ensnaring your enemy in it's trunk? Perhaps forcing grass to bind your foes to the ground? Also, the occasional food product is a nice perk. More defensive or supportive than offensive.
- Fallen Angel: Not actually an Angel, this class refers to a God who is still passionate for humans, giving up their immortality in exchange for the ability to help. Usually gifted with extreme(ly AWESOME) powers, these allies are very hard to find, meaning approval for this class is very uncommon. Classifying these people by their attributes is very tough, as they can differ greatly.
- Pyrotechnic: Knowing flames better than a fire-fighter, you can usually depend on a lighter to defeat your enemies. Commonly uses fire related weaponry, such people are usually offensive. They are also allowed to Cary Alcohol around with them, as it makes a great fuel for dousing foes in flames.
- Psycho: Sometimes, logic isn't enough. When someone really needs to just die, Psychos can always get the job done. NEVER defensive, these rampaging barbarians usually use Melee weapons, making them weak from long distances. However, if you are stuck in a hand to hand fight with one, good luck.
- Sorcerer: Depending on magic as your weapon, Sorcerers usually deny physical tools in exchange for magic. Why carry a sword when you can summon one? No arrows? No problem. Shoot them with spells!
- Mechanic: Similar to the BeastMaster, you use pets to fight, however, these pets are usually robots of mass destruction, ready to kill. Usually defensive characters, but with offensive or defensive pets. The Mechanic the self can't take too many hits, but their minions can take plenty of them.
Are you ready to murder, kids? I can't hear you! Before you jump out there and start the slaughter of foes, let's get things straightened with the Gods and Goddesses.
Deities -
New Gods -
- A'thery: God of the Air, Storms, Wind, and pretty much most things airborne. Main Deity.

Bio (If long, put in spoilers):
I sat by Father's throne, waiting for his return. It was time for Storms, I knew, but I was never patient. I looked beneath me, below the clouds, and saw them — the mortals. Their helpless struggle conflicted my feelings. I was a God, son of A'thery and Karisha! Why should I ever connect to these fools? However, my heart yearned for these brave souls. My eyes followed the Taint as they tore humans apart, piece by piece, the sight of the crimson blood causing me to flinch. I noticed Mother heading my way, scowling.
"Tobias, what are you doing?" She scolded, her face filled with force anger. She was only doing her job, I knew, but it didn't make me feel any better. Karisha, my mother, Goddess of Miracles and Sorcery, knew her heart belonged to those humans, facing their struggle. Her wings of Aura fluttered around her, sharing her eccentric personality.
"Mother, may I help them?" I asked.
"No, your Father would never permit you." She responded. A'thery, Lord of the Skies, refused to let his only son fall to Earth and join the struggle. It was his way of spoiling me.
"But... Why? Why must we live in comfort as they are down there, dying? Why are we using our power to separate from them, when we could be saving lives! Who cares if they don't worship us? I've never eaten any sacrificed food, sent directly to me, but I'm not bothered!" I yelled, frustrated.
"Quite a commotion you're causing." Dimitri commented, appearing into sight. "Oh, Karisha, let him play! As long as he is on the surface of the Overworld, he may not be mortal, but we can always watch him. If he wishes to fight, let him be." After finishing his speech, Dimitri throws me a sword hilt. Once I catch it, it expands with a blade of Plasma, surrounded by electric energy. "I'm sure he'll be fine. I've got some disciples coming in right now, who'd love to protect him."
Groaning, Mother looked into,my eyes, trying to rad my emotions. "Fi–" Interupting her, Dimitri snapped his fingers and my blue, translucent wings started to fade, causing me to fall to the ground.
Once I land, I immediately strike one Tainted with my Katana, leaving the blade stabbed into it's back. Summer saluting over it's head, I use both feet to kick another Taint into the exposed blade, killing both of them. Helping a little child up, I smile and begin walking in the direction of the Resistance HQ.
Welcome, my friend, to a world of danger. Try not to die.

And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
(All of you are approved. Thanks, Muffin, I couldn't remember what word to use,but you corrected me with Appearance. I'll be sure to change that.)
As a make my way East, towards the resistance, two officers stop me, giving me scornful looks. One of them readied his hand near his firearm, while the female officer began placing hand-cuffs around my wrists. Instead of shooting me, the officer with a gun slams the barrel of it onto the top of my head, knocking me out efficiently.
~~~
"Who is this guy?" I heard, waking from my slumber. "Reports say he appeared after a lightning bolt hit the Earth."
"I doubt that. He is probably just good at sneaking." Another man said, his voice deeper.
"Doctor, the battle took place in a desert. There would be little room for sneaking, plus his coat's blue tint would have given him away. Also, it must have been immensely hot, being in a Windbreaker like that."
"I sent an order out to begin experiments on the fabric, correct? Results brought to me by Clare showed it was wool, but wouldn't melt a chunk of ice left in it. After that, they tried setting it ablaze, which didn't work. Next, our scientists placed it over a Tesla Coil, perhaps to show if it had any electric purposes. The room was filled with a strange blue light as the jacket absorbed the energy. The last experiment was Clare's favorite. They out it on a pig carcass, out the pig at the end of a firing range, and shot hundreds of bullets at it. Not a single one injured it." The deeper voice explained, the Doctor applying his logic.
Having had enough of their twiddling, I began to stir, sitting up on the metal slab they put me on. By my feet laid my coat, inside a plastic pouch, appearing to have recently been cleaned. "I don't mean to be rude," I started, "But why am I here? Where is here? Where is my Katana? What have you done to me?"
"Silly kid," the female officer, Clare, said as she walked in. "We didn't do much. I'm Clare, Sorcerer, expert in Medicine. I was being escorted to the Western Cities when we were attacked. Lay down, and I'll show you my magic." (Not in a dirty way :P). Pulling my shirt a few inches above my waist, she dragged her finger a few inches up my abdomen, causing a small mark to appear. She did the same, but horizontally, towards the top and bottom of the previous mark. After that, she snapped and my flesh openned, showing my innards.
"That's disgusting! How dare you do that to me! I am a GOD!" I screamed as she sealed my stomach.
"Were a god. We have a special term for your breed of people: Fallen Angels. Good little beings who floated around the heavens until their hearts loved humans too much. Their wings grew tired and stopped flapping." The man in the lab coat responded, his deep voice resonating around the chamber.
"Give me my sword, and I'll be gone."
"We can't do that, yet," the quieter officer responded, "Not until we have completed more testing. Your sword appears to be able to penetrate any sled, your jacket a shield that can reflect all attacks. We're going to test your physical resistance. We might have a new weapon against the a Taint."
"That's all you know? Good, thought I let the cat out of the bag." I taunted, as I reached towards my ear. I rubbed one of my platinum earrings, causing it's luster to turn bright blue. A storm began to brew outside, but that wasn't their biggest worry. A miniature tornado swirled around me, causing bricks from the walls to fly around the room. Placing my hands on the table, a bolt of electricity exploded the entire building down to it's foundation. Sadly, my earring turned to dust afterwards, but I walked East after destroying the entire compound.
Demetria wakes up inside of a small crater. She remembers leaving her home, and a golden staircase, and falling. A katana lies on he ground next to her. She taps it, and flames engulf the blade. She smiles. This was hers. She walks a bit, and hears a growl and scream. The katana extinguished itself, and she runs to the scream.
A small girl is being attacked by one of the monsters- Tainted, they were called. Demetria runs fast to the monster, and in a second, the head of it is two feet away. She walks back to her crater.
And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
I actually have two apps, so it may take a little while.))
Name: Elerune Yunsa
Age: 26
Class: Sniper
Chosen Deity: Dimitri
Expertise: Archery
Weapon: Bow and (sometimes poisoned) arrows
Appearance: He's a tall, thin man with a stern demeanor. He has black, somewhat curly hair. He wears mostly green and brown clothes to blend in with the surroundings, and he wears his quiver over his shoulder. He wears thin metal plates underneath his clothing for extra protection, and he wears a scope-like mask over his face that allows for better eyesight and makes it harder for the opponent to read his faces.
Bio: He was born and raised in a village in the woods, away from most other society. That said, general societal rules still applied there.
In this village, men and women alike are trained with a weapon by the time they can even hold one, and Elerune was a cut above the rest when it came down to who the best shot was. He was prodigious with a bow, and his shots rarely missed their intended targets. He also trained as a climber, to be able to climb to perches that would be just right for a sniper.
Upon reaching adulthood, he was granted his own bow, custom-made and forged by the best smith in the village. He was a well-recognized master sniper.
But then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
Then the Tainted began popping up, and when they attacked his village, it was catastrophic. The best warriors in the village, slaughtered by the savage beasts. Amidst the chaos, the leader of the village told him to make his way east, towards the resistance. Then the leader charged off to his death.
Elerune ran. He ran as fast as possible, sprinting eastward like there was no tomorrow. After he got out of the wall of trees that once concealed his village, he slowed down and continued towards the resistance base.
((I'll post the second one later.))
Name: Lucy "Flamer" Pyre
Age: 17
Class: Pyrotechnic
Chosen Deity (If not, put "None"): Zona
Expertise: Fire, fire, fire oh and did I mention fire?
Weapon: "The face burner 3000" (In reality it's a pair of heat resistant gloves that are set on fire that she uses to punch enemies in the face with fire.)
Appearance:
Bio: Lucy was born into a family of farmers in a rather calm and peaceful community. She was taught about the gods from her parents, and while she barely payed attention to any of them she had always liked learning about Zona. She found it fascinating that a god could create such....flammable creatures. Unbeknownst to her parents Lucy had a little pyromaniac in her ever since she had accidentally burned a basket of corn when her father had left her alone when he was called for a town meeting. Every since then things have inexplicably caught fire whenever she was around. By the time she turned 16 they had finally connected the dots after she had burned down the town hall. They were just about to burn her until a large tainted attacked the community. As soon as Lucy saw that majestic beast she knew that she had to burn it. So after a bit of begging the town thought "what the heck" and let her try and face the tainted. Now tainted may be strong, but if you punch something with fire enough times it's going to go down. After defeating the tainted the town offered her total amnesty for her crimes if she agreed to never burn anything again. Now that didn't work well for Lucy so in the nicest way possible she declined by spitting a flaming lugie right at the elders feet before walking away. Now at the age of 17 she actively seeks ways to make people see the beauty of her fire by burning any tainted she comes across.
1 Year ago the military was on the losing side of the war. All seemed bleak until one soldier brought a penguin in to training. They had trained that penguin in the use of explosives and sent him out into the field. They had thought that they had won but the agent went rouge. Now he only lives on as a legend, the legend of ShotgunPenguin.
Demetria makes her way to a building- it looked like her house, except less... angely. It had a sign, naming the house Starlight inn. She walks inside and gets a room.
Name: Ivan "Boltcase" Rykov Age: 19 Class: Mechanic Chosen Deity: Dimitri Expertise: Building things and using junk to his advantage. Weapon: Bloodhound, a dog-like robot the size of a German Shepherd equipped with some mechanical tools (mostly used to assist in building robots) and a nasty set of teeth. It has a dedicated port on its back for an interchangeable weapon (currently home to an automatic gun). Ivan himself uses his tools for self-defense if necessary. Appearance: Wears a gas mask to hide his face (has green eyes and blonde hair). Stands about 6 feet tall. Wears a hoodie and pants with a digital urban camouflage pattern and black boots. Bio: Ivan was an odd one. Born in the slums of a major city, he and his friends were often got in trouble, but Ivan would sometimes find them a clever way out of it. Sometimes. They got into fights a lot - the older they got, the bloodier the fights got. He was slowly desensitized to violence and death.
He didn't only get into trouble and fight, though. Though his education was lacking as his parents couldn't pay for anything better, Ivan went to the library a lot. He read quite a bit. Various books on science, engineering, etc. up to college levels. He learned how to make things work - junk became whatever he felt like when he got his hands on it. He started building robots for various purposes, those purposes often being unorthodox, earning him the nickname "Boltcase" among his friends.
When the tainted first started showing up in the city, Ivan and his friends (as well as robots) managed to kill a couple and get out, losing a human of their own on the way. Fending for themselves, however, the humans dropped one by one, until only Ivan was left with his robots. His bots, though tougher than humans, fell faster than Ivan could replace them. Now, he's left with one - his trusty guard bot, Bloodhound. The two are currently searching for scrap and other junk to expand their forces with.
Clack, clack, clack
Demetria pokes her head outside Starlight Inn. A man wearing a dark cloak made the sound. He looked suspicious. She taps her katana, and it sparkles and bursts into flame. She has always admired her katana, with the Amber gem inlay and the leather hilt. She follows the figure quietly.People in blue uniforms have seen her katana. They follow her. It's a following party.
And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
((Sorry for inactivity, College Student :/ Fear, your accepted. To clarify, there are few ways not to get accepted immediately: Being a Fallen Angel or being highly Illiterate.))
Noticing the muscular man marching towards me, I look beyond him, at a Hooded man leaving an Inn, while a small Aura resonated from around the corner. Luckily, I am a Fallen Angel, or whatever you call them, so I can see the soul reflected I the Aura. It was nearly identical to my own, but with more of a wispy fire essence to it.
I glue my eyes back to the man on a path to me. Once I notice his weapon on his back, I feel slightly threatened, but at the same time challenged. However, the thrill of a proper fight forces me into a flashback.
Years and years ago, back when I was a small Godling, I remember my terrible traits, such as Pride, Envy, and Greed. However, I was told by Dimitri of how all beings have these things, but them being used are referred to as Sins. I was counting each one, all seven of them, learning their names and descriptions. Greed, the want for all things. Wrath, the pure anger within. Gluttony, the desire to eat and only eat. Lust, the seek for inappropriate love. Pride, boasting of something being superior. Sloth, procrastination and laziness. Then Envy, the desire to take what others have. However, A'thery, my father, knew how to seal away these feelings. Within the grasp of Seven pieces of Jewelry, my sins were bound. If those artifacts were to break, the emotions would return to me.
I gasped, and stopped in my tracks. Ever since I left the compound, I have felt a desire for all things, like money, power, everything. I sacrificed one earring to destroy the building, the Earring of Greed. Only Six sins remained, break them and I'd have to either deal with it, or admit my defeat and return to A'thery.
The flaming katana glows brighter. Demetria senses someone like her. A soul ment for power. A soul like her- though this one looked more like a storm. She wonders what her soul would seem like. The hooded man could wait. She had to find the person like her. She sets off, hiding in allies, running to it.
Meanwhile, the blue uniformed people are following her. They sense she is different too.
And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
Ivan walks down a city street, Bloodhound right beside him.
"Where oh where," Ivan says, talking to himself, "where might we find some scrap?" He then looks into an alley - dumpsters and trashcans galore. It won't be much, but maybe he can scrounge up enough to replace one of Bloodhound's joints. He begins poking through them, one after another. A bolt here, a strip there, but not much.
"Bloodhound," he says, "help me search." Bloodhound immediately obeys, using his teeth to take off a trashcan's lid, then spilling it over, revealing two short metal rods. "Good boy," Ivan says, picking up the rods and putting what he'd found into his pockets. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Ivan sees movement. Something glowing? Bloodhound shifts into a threatening position. Ivan turns to get a better look, and sees exactly what it is - a girl with a flaming sword running through the alleys, headed straight for them. Maybe something blue behind her, but that doesn't matter right now.
"Oh, no, boy," Ivan says to Bloodhound, "we are NOT gonna get in her way. Come on!" Ivan runs back out of the alley, Bloodhound in tow.
"For the last time kid you can't stay here unless you give me your weapon." A thickset man said in a gruff voice. "I didn't see you take that guys sword when he wanted a room." I said as I glared at him "That's because you can't burn down an inn with a sword!" He yelled before continuing "Either you give me those gloves or you'll have to sleep outside." He said while crossing his arms. "I swear old man if anything happens to these gloves you'll be the owner of a pile of ash." I say while taking my gloves off "Yeah and you'll probably never be let into another inn ever again." He said while taking the gloves.
Groaning as I remember the events that transpired yesterday I slowly open my eyes and sit up in my bed.
"Why did I let him take my gloves? I feel so bare without them" I say while getting out of bed. "Well might as well get them" I think as I head downstairs to where everyone was eating.
"Hey old man can I have my gloves back yet?" I ask as I walk up to the front desk.
"Yeah yeah yeah just take them, more trouble then their worth." He says while putting them on the counter.
"See ya later" I mumble while walking out the door where there was a large muscular man was standing in front of someone, it was hard to tell with the first guy in the way. As I stood in the doorway I was able to hear the big guy ask "Does it take a lot of you to make that explosion?" "Wait that big explosion was caused by that guy?" So that was you huh? I was wondering what that was. So how did you do it? A big bomb?" I say while walking around the side of the big guy.
Demetria arrives at the end of the buildings. Luckily, a person is there. It was him! She runs over to talk to him, but someone tackles her from behind. She tries to use her flaming katana, but the person throws it into a nearby puddle. "Get off of me! You are in for a world of hurt!" She screams as the person carries her away.
And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
((Muffins, I hope you don't consider this powergaming/bunnying. If you do, let me know and feel free to act as though the post never happened.))
((I'm also going to assume the sword was extinguished by the puddle for this post))
Ivan stands on the street plotting how to find more scrap when the girl from the alley is tackled to the ground by a police officer and her sword knocked into a puddle. Ivan picks up the sword, and decides that flammable metal might not be the best choice for scrap. The girl, obviously in trouble, reminds Ivan of himself and his friends back in the day. Having gotten others out of sticky situations like this before, and having some nostalgia triggered by the scenario, Ivan decides to help. He runs over to the officer carrying the girl, Bloodhound following behind, but staying at a distance.
"Excuse me, officer, but might I ask why you're arresting this girl?" he says.
"Well, um," replies the officer, pausing for a moment to think of a reason, "she's dangerous."
Realizing the officer has no real reason, Ivan decides to press the officer into letting the girl go. "Dangerous?" Ivan asks sarcastically, "In what way?"
"Well," the officer replies, "she had a sword-"
"A sword? THIS sword?" Ivan interrupts, holding up the blade. "Since when was that illegal? You don't seem to have a problem with ME carrying it around."
"Well, that's becau-"
"Looks like prime Tainted-slaying material to me," Ivan interrupts again. "That's not illegal either, is it? So, would you mind letting the girl go?"
"Y-yes, sir. Sorry." He puts the girl down, apologizes, and walks off.
With the officer gone, Ivan talks to the girl. "Here's your sword back," he says, holding the hilt of the blade out to the girl. "You alright?"
((It's fine. I had no idea what I was planning. :)))
Demetria stands up, dusting herself off. "Yeah, thanks." Grabbing her sword, she smiles. "Thank you for the sword, and I think there was another reason she wanted to get me. Probably-" she hesitates, not sure if she should tell him. Instead, small sparks fly out of her fingertips. Dang you, nervous habit...
And so Phil set off on his epic quest with his companion Phil and his sister Phil. Together they will face against many Phils to find out what happened to Phil before Phil destroys the world to get revenge on Phil for cheating on him with Phil.
Let's start this off right: You are a hero. What kind, who knows. You have traveled to the land of Eternia for your own reason, which is nobody's business but yours. In this fine country, we have run into a bit of an issue: Humans have strayed from the path of the Gods, causing anger to boil. Unleashing their fury, the Gods of Eternia have sent a race of monsters, fueled by pure insanity, to fight against us. One man or woman is nothing compared to them, two having a slight chance, multiple with high possibilities of victory. However, these statistics are against a single one of those foul beasts. We call those evil creatures "Tainted."
This is where You come into play. Having been successful in dispatching one or two on your own, you have been gathered here to help. Luckily, we humans aren't alone. We have multiple classes of characters, each with unique and special abilities.
Classes -
- Soldier: Being familiar with most combat techniques, you consider yourself a "Jack-Of-All-Trades", being able to skewer an enemy with a knife, or place loads of bullets into their brain, you can do most mortal skills. However, you only find yourself a master in one such skill, while the others are just decent.
- Sniper: The expert of Long-Range devices, you find yourself mastering Bows, Sniper Rifles, and the occasional Mortar, anything to kill the enemy from a same distance. However, you aren't able to take as many physical blows as others, as you are slightly more fragile. You are also pretty good with a knife, for close range encounters.
- Beast Master: Being able to tame most animals within minutes, you find the ability to control animals and make them do your bidding easier than actual fighting. However, if you are forced into it, you would prefer a Knife or a Shotgun, anything for easy dispatching as a fail safe.
- Dryad: Usually female, this race of nature beings are masters of agriculture. Ever felt like making a tree grow rapidly, ensnaring your enemy in it's trunk? Perhaps forcing grass to bind your foes to the ground? Also, the occasional food product is a nice perk. More defensive or supportive than offensive.
- Fallen Angel: Not actually an Angel, this class refers to a God who is still passionate for humans, giving up their immortality in exchange for the ability to help. Usually gifted with extreme(ly AWESOME) powers, these allies are very hard to find, meaning approval for this class is very uncommon. Classifying these people by their attributes is very tough, as they can differ greatly.
- Pyrotechnic: Knowing flames better than a fire-fighter, you can usually depend on a lighter to defeat your enemies. Commonly uses fire related weaponry, such people are usually offensive. They are also allowed to Cary Alcohol around with them, as it makes a great fuel for dousing foes in flames.
- Psycho: Sometimes, logic isn't enough. When someone really needs to just die, Psychos can always get the job done. NEVER defensive, these rampaging barbarians usually use Melee weapons, making them weak from long distances. However, if you are stuck in a hand to hand fight with one, good luck.
- Sorcerer: Depending on magic as your weapon, Sorcerers usually deny physical tools in exchange for magic. Why carry a sword when you can summon one? No arrows? No problem. Shoot them with spells!
- Mechanic: Similar to the BeastMaster, you use pets to fight, however, these pets are usually robots of mass destruction, ready to kill. Usually defensive characters, but with offensive or defensive pets. The Mechanic the self can't take too many hits, but their minions can take plenty of them.
Are you ready to murder, kids? I can't hear you! Before you jump out there and start the slaughter of foes, let's get things straightened with the Gods and Goddesses.
Expertise: Storm Magic
Weapon: Elemental Katana
Bio (If long, put in spoilers):
I sat by Father's throne, waiting for his return. It was time for Storms, I knew, but I was never patient. I looked beneath me, below the clouds, and saw them — the mortals. Their helpless struggle conflicted my feelings. I was a God, son of A'thery and Karisha! Why should I ever connect to these fools? However, my heart yearned for these brave souls. My eyes followed the Taint as they tore humans apart, piece by piece, the sight of the crimson blood causing me to flinch. I noticed Mother heading my way, scowling.
"Tobias, what are you doing?" She scolded, her face filled with force anger. She was only doing her job, I knew, but it didn't make me feel any better. Karisha, my mother, Goddess of Miracles and Sorcery, knew her heart belonged to those humans, facing their struggle. Her wings of Aura fluttered around her, sharing her eccentric personality.
"Mother, may I help them?" I asked.
"No, your Father would never permit you." She responded. A'thery, Lord of the Skies, refused to let his only son fall to Earth and join the struggle. It was his way of spoiling me.
"But... Why? Why must we live in comfort as they are down there, dying? Why are we using our power to separate from them, when we could be saving lives! Who cares if they don't worship us? I've never eaten any sacrificed food, sent directly to me, but I'm not bothered!" I yelled, frustrated.
"Quite a commotion you're causing." Dimitri commented, appearing into sight. "Oh, Karisha, let him play! As long as he is on the surface of the Overworld, he may not be mortal, but we can always watch him. If he wishes to fight, let him be." After finishing his speech, Dimitri throws me a sword hilt. Once I catch it, it expands with a blade of Plasma, surrounded by electric energy. "I'm sure he'll be fine. I've got some disciples coming in right now, who'd love to protect him."
Groaning, Mother looked into,my eyes, trying to rad my emotions. "Fi–" Interupting her, Dimitri snapped his fingers and my blue, translucent wings started to fade, causing me to fall to the ground.
Once I land, I immediately strike one Tainted with my Katana, leaving the blade stabbed into it's back. Summer saluting over it's head, I use both feet to kick another Taint into the exposed blade, killing both of them. Helping a little child up, I smile and begin walking in the direction of the Resistance HQ.
Welcome, my friend, to a world of danger. Try not to die.
Age: 18
Class: Fallen Angel
Chosen Deity: Kalila
Expertise: Fire, flame, that kinda thing.
Weapon: A flaming katana, of course.
Design: If this means appearance- White shirt, red jacket, white jeans, red boots. She has long brown hair, mostly kept up in a ponytail. Her eyes are normally brown, but if she is angered they glow red. She is about 5'8, and her cheeks are always light pink.
Bio: Demetria was known as 'the flaming angel.' She had a love for fire, and she had a love for justice. When she gave up immortality, Kalila, her mother, thought of her as a traitor and tried to wipe her memory. Dimitri, her father, stopped Kalila. She walked down a stairway made of gold to Earth. The gods respected her decision, but not heartbroken Kalila. When she came to Earth, she was pushed by her loved deity and as a result fell. Love hurts, as they say. When she it the earth, She created a crater the size of a small car. Many tainted surrounded her, and she fought them and won. She realises the pain these mortals habe been going through. And now, she fights.
WHY
As a make my way East, towards the resistance, two officers stop me, giving me scornful looks. One of them readied his hand near his firearm, while the female officer began placing hand-cuffs around my wrists. Instead of shooting me, the officer with a gun slams the barrel of it onto the top of my head, knocking me out efficiently.
~~~
"Who is this guy?" I heard, waking from my slumber. "Reports say he appeared after a lightning bolt hit the Earth."
"I doubt that. He is probably just good at sneaking." Another man said, his voice deeper.
"Doctor, the battle took place in a desert. There would be little room for sneaking, plus his coat's blue tint would have given him away. Also, it must have been immensely hot, being in a Windbreaker like that."
"I sent an order out to begin experiments on the fabric, correct? Results brought to me by Clare showed it was wool, but wouldn't melt a chunk of ice left in it. After that, they tried setting it ablaze, which didn't work. Next, our scientists placed it over a Tesla Coil, perhaps to show if it had any electric purposes. The room was filled with a strange blue light as the jacket absorbed the energy. The last experiment was Clare's favorite. They out it on a pig carcass, out the pig at the end of a firing range, and shot hundreds of bullets at it. Not a single one injured it." The deeper voice explained, the Doctor applying his logic.
Having had enough of their twiddling, I began to stir, sitting up on the metal slab they put me on. By my feet laid my coat, inside a plastic pouch, appearing to have recently been cleaned. "I don't mean to be rude," I started, "But why am I here? Where is here? Where is my Katana? What have you done to me?"
"Silly kid," the female officer, Clare, said as she walked in. "We didn't do much. I'm Clare, Sorcerer, expert in Medicine. I was being escorted to the Western Cities when we were attacked. Lay down, and I'll show you my magic." (Not in a dirty way :P). Pulling my shirt a few inches above my waist, she dragged her finger a few inches up my abdomen, causing a small mark to appear. She did the same, but horizontally, towards the top and bottom of the previous mark. After that, she snapped and my flesh openned, showing my innards.
"That's disgusting! How dare you do that to me! I am a GOD!" I screamed as she sealed my stomach.
"Were a god. We have a special term for your breed of people: Fallen Angels. Good little beings who floated around the heavens until their hearts loved humans too much. Their wings grew tired and stopped flapping." The man in the lab coat responded, his deep voice resonating around the chamber.
"Give me my sword, and I'll be gone."
"We can't do that, yet," the quieter officer responded, "Not until we have completed more testing. Your sword appears to be able to penetrate any sled, your jacket a shield that can reflect all attacks. We're going to test your physical resistance. We might have a new weapon against the a Taint."
"That's all you know? Good, thought I let the cat out of the bag." I taunted, as I reached towards my ear. I rubbed one of my platinum earrings, causing it's luster to turn bright blue. A storm began to brew outside, but that wasn't their biggest worry. A miniature tornado swirled around me, causing bricks from the walls to fly around the room. Placing my hands on the table, a bolt of electricity exploded the entire building down to it's foundation. Sadly, my earring turned to dust afterwards, but I walked East after destroying the entire compound.
Demetria wakes up inside of a small crater. She remembers leaving her home, and a golden staircase, and falling. A katana lies on he ground next to her. She taps it, and flames engulf the blade. She smiles. This was hers. She walks a bit, and hears a growl and scream. The katana extinguished itself, and she runs to the scream.
WHY
WHY
I actually have two apps, so it may take a little while.))
Name: Elerune Yunsa
Age: 26
Class: Sniper
Chosen Deity: Dimitri
Expertise: Archery
Weapon: Bow and (sometimes poisoned) arrows
Appearance: He's a tall, thin man with a stern demeanor. He has black, somewhat curly hair. He wears mostly green and brown clothes to blend in with the surroundings, and he wears his quiver over his shoulder. He wears thin metal plates underneath his clothing for extra protection, and he wears a scope-like mask over his face that allows for better eyesight and makes it harder for the opponent to read his faces.
Bio: He was born and raised in a village in the woods, away from most other society. That said, general societal rules still applied there.
In this village, men and women alike are trained with a weapon by the time they can even hold one, and Elerune was a cut above the rest when it came down to who the best shot was. He was prodigious with a bow, and his shots rarely missed their intended targets. He also trained as a climber, to be able to climb to perches that would be just right for a sniper.
Upon reaching adulthood, he was granted his own bow, custom-made and forged by the best smith in the village. He was a well-recognized master sniper.
But then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.Then the Tainted began popping up, and when they attacked his village, it was catastrophic. The best warriors in the village, slaughtered by the savage beasts. Amidst the chaos, the leader of the village told him to make his way east, towards the resistance. Then the leader charged off to his death.
Elerune ran. He ran as fast as possible, sprinting eastward like there was no tomorrow. After he got out of the wall of trees that once concealed his village, he slowed down and continued towards the resistance base.
((I'll post the second one later.))

Class: Pyrotechnic
Chosen Deity (If not, put "None"): Zona
Expertise: Fire, fire, fire oh and did I mention fire?
Weapon: "The face burner 3000" (In reality it's a pair of heat resistant gloves that are set on fire that she uses to punch enemies in the face with fire.)
Appearance:
Bio: Lucy was born into a family of farmers in a rather calm and peaceful community. She was taught about the gods from her parents, and while she barely payed attention to any of them she had always liked learning about Zona. She found it fascinating that a god could create such....flammable creatures. Unbeknownst to her parents Lucy had a little pyromaniac in her ever since she had accidentally burned a basket of corn when her father had left her alone when he was called for a town meeting. Every since then things have inexplicably caught fire whenever she was around. By the time she turned 16 they had finally connected the dots after she had burned down the town hall. They were just about to burn her until a large tainted attacked the community. As soon as Lucy saw that majestic beast she knew that she had to burn it. So after a bit of begging the town thought "what the heck" and let her try and face the tainted. Now tainted may be strong, but if you punch something with fire enough times it's going to go down. After defeating the tainted the town offered her total amnesty for her crimes if she agreed to never burn anything again. Now that didn't work well for Lucy so in the nicest way possible she declined by spitting a flaming lugie right at the elders feet before walking away. Now at the age of 17 she actively seeks ways to make people see the beauty of her fire by burning any tainted she comes across.
((Well, if she's accepted it would make things infinitely more... interesting. To say the least.))

Demetria makes her way to a building- it looked like her house, except less... angely. It had a sign, naming the house Starlight inn. She walks inside and gets a room.
WHY
WHY
Age: 19
Class: Mechanic
Chosen Deity: Dimitri
Expertise: Building things and using junk to his advantage.
Weapon: Bloodhound, a dog-like robot the size of a German Shepherd equipped with some mechanical tools (mostly used to assist in building robots) and a nasty set of teeth. It has a dedicated port on its back for an interchangeable weapon (currently home to an automatic gun). Ivan himself uses his tools for self-defense if necessary.
Appearance: Wears a gas mask to hide his face (has green eyes and blonde hair). Stands about 6 feet tall. Wears a hoodie and pants with a digital urban camouflage pattern and black boots.
Bio:
Ivan was an odd one. Born in the slums of a major city, he and his friends were often got in trouble, but Ivan would sometimes find them a clever way out of it. Sometimes. They got into fights a lot - the older they got, the bloodier the fights got. He was slowly desensitized to violence and death.
He didn't only get into trouble and fight, though. Though his education was lacking as his parents couldn't pay for anything better, Ivan went to the library a lot. He read quite a bit. Various books on science, engineering, etc. up to college levels. He learned how to make things work - junk became whatever he felt like when he got his hands on it. He started building robots for various purposes, those purposes often being unorthodox, earning him the nickname "Boltcase" among his friends.
When the tainted first started showing up in the city, Ivan and his friends (as well as robots) managed to kill a couple and get out, losing a human of their own on the way. Fending for themselves, however, the humans dropped one by one, until only Ivan was left with his robots. His bots, though tougher than humans, fell faster than Ivan could replace them. Now, he's left with one - his trusty guard bot, Bloodhound. The two are currently searching for scrap and other junk to expand their forces with.
There's no kill like overkill.
Demetria pokes her head outside Starlight Inn. A man wearing a dark cloak made the sound. He looked suspicious. She taps her katana, and it sparkles and bursts into flame. She has always admired her katana, with the Amber gem inlay and the leather hilt. She follows the figure quietly.People in blue uniforms have seen her katana. They follow her. It's a following party.
WHY
Noticing the muscular man marching towards me, I look beyond him, at a Hooded man leaving an Inn, while a small Aura resonated from around the corner. Luckily, I am a Fallen Angel, or whatever you call them, so I can see the soul reflected I the Aura. It was nearly identical to my own, but with more of a wispy fire essence to it.
I glue my eyes back to the man on a path to me. Once I notice his weapon on his back, I feel slightly threatened, but at the same time challenged. However, the thrill of a proper fight forces me into a flashback.
Years and years ago, back when I was a small Godling, I remember my terrible traits, such as Pride, Envy, and Greed. However, I was told by Dimitri of how all beings have these things, but them being used are referred to as Sins. I was counting each one, all seven of them, learning their names and descriptions. Greed, the want for all things. Wrath, the pure anger within. Gluttony, the desire to eat and only eat. Lust, the seek for inappropriate love. Pride, boasting of something being superior. Sloth, procrastination and laziness. Then Envy, the desire to take what others have. However, A'thery, my father, knew how to seal away these feelings. Within the grasp of Seven pieces of Jewelry, my sins were bound. If those artifacts were to break, the emotions would return to me.
I gasped, and stopped in my tracks. Ever since I left the compound, I have felt a desire for all things, like money, power, everything. I sacrificed one earring to destroy the building, the Earring of Greed. Only Six sins remained, break them and I'd have to either deal with it, or admit my defeat and return to A'thery.
Meanwhile, the blue uniformed people are following her. They sense she is different too.
WHY
"Where oh where," Ivan says, talking to himself, "where might we find some scrap?" He then looks into an alley - dumpsters and trashcans galore. It won't be much, but maybe he can scrounge up enough to replace one of Bloodhound's joints. He begins poking through them, one after another. A bolt here, a strip there, but not much.
"Bloodhound," he says, "help me search." Bloodhound immediately obeys, using his teeth to take off a trashcan's lid, then spilling it over, revealing two short metal rods. "Good boy," Ivan says, picking up the rods and putting what he'd found into his pockets. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Ivan sees movement. Something glowing? Bloodhound shifts into a threatening position. Ivan turns to get a better look, and sees exactly what it is - a girl with a flaming sword running through the alleys, headed straight for them. Maybe something blue behind her, but that doesn't matter right now.
"Oh, no, boy," Ivan says to Bloodhound, "we are NOT gonna get in her way. Come on!" Ivan runs back out of the alley, Bloodhound in tow.
There's no kill like overkill.
"I didn't see you take that guys sword when he wanted a room." I said as I glared at him
"That's because you can't burn down an inn with a sword!" He yelled before continuing "Either you give me those gloves or you'll have to sleep outside." He said while crossing his arms.
"I swear old man if anything happens to these gloves you'll be the owner of a pile of ash." I say while taking my gloves off
"Yeah and you'll probably never be let into another inn ever again." He said while taking the gloves.
Groaning as I remember the events that transpired yesterday I slowly open my eyes and sit up in my bed.
"Why did I let him take my gloves? I feel so bare without them" I say while getting out of bed.
"Well might as well get them" I think as I head downstairs to where everyone was eating.
"Hey old man can I have my gloves back yet?" I ask as I walk up to the front desk.
"Yeah yeah yeah just take them, more trouble then their worth." He says while putting them on the counter.
"See ya later" I mumble while walking out the door where there was a large muscular man was standing in front of someone, it was hard to tell with the first guy in the way. As I stood in the doorway I was able to hear the big guy ask "Does it take a lot of you to make that explosion?"
"Wait that big explosion was caused by that guy?" So that was you huh? I was wondering what that was. So how did you do it? A big bomb?" I say while walking around the side of the big guy.
WHY
((I'm also going to assume the sword was extinguished by the puddle for this post))
Ivan stands on the street plotting how to find more scrap when the girl from the alley is tackled to the ground by a police officer and her sword knocked into a puddle. Ivan picks up the sword, and decides that flammable metal might not be the best choice for scrap. The girl, obviously in trouble, reminds Ivan of himself and his friends back in the day. Having gotten others out of sticky situations like this before, and having some nostalgia triggered by the scenario, Ivan decides to help. He runs over to the officer carrying the girl, Bloodhound following behind, but staying at a distance.
"Excuse me, officer, but might I ask why you're arresting this girl?" he says.
"Well, um," replies the officer, pausing for a moment to think of a reason, "she's dangerous."
Realizing the officer has no real reason, Ivan decides to press the officer into letting the girl go. "Dangerous?" Ivan asks sarcastically, "In what way?"
"Well," the officer replies, "she had a sword-"
"A sword? THIS sword?" Ivan interrupts, holding up the blade. "Since when was that illegal? You don't seem to have a problem with ME carrying it around."
"Well, that's becau-"
"Looks like prime Tainted-slaying material to me," Ivan interrupts again. "That's not illegal either, is it? So, would you mind letting the girl go?"
"Y-yes, sir. Sorry." He puts the girl down, apologizes, and walks off.
With the officer gone, Ivan talks to the girl. "Here's your sword back," he says, holding the hilt of the blade out to the girl. "You alright?"
There's no kill like overkill.
Demetria stands up, dusting herself off. "Yeah, thanks." Grabbing her sword, she smiles. "Thank you for the sword, and I think there was another reason she wanted to get me. Probably-" she hesitates, not sure if she should tell him. Instead, small sparks fly out of her fingertips. Dang you, nervous habit...
