((Edited my app to contain my magical branch; I used the price of one night at the inn as 10 coins, if you think that's to little i'll edit this post.))
Alestan woke up with the noise of cheers and senseless drunken shout coming from outside through his rooms window, he was staying on a quaint inn seeing as he arrived in the city of vigor yesterday. He climbed out of his soft bed, put on his regular attire and descended the ebony spiral staircase into the inns lounge, a roaring fire on the brick fireplace was the main source of light in the lounge, the green haired innkeeper was obviously distracted, as her eyes where unfocused as she looked towards a small potted flower.
Probably one of those plant wizards. Alestan thought.
He had already paid the 10 coin fee last night so he had no need of interacting with her, so he preferred not to distract her from her... Plant talking... He walked out of the inn and into the bright cheerful streets and begun looking for a stall selling some decent food.
((That is correct.))
((Nephener Denied simply because you're using Mikasa's surname and a couple of like circumstances for your backstory, for now enjoy this gif of Titan-san being late for anime school:
"Hm well if you remember at least some detail about their appearance then we might have some chance. This'll still be quite a bunch of work."Xanthia says sighing. She puts her hands behind her head and looks at the sky <What in the world have I gotten myself into?> she thinks "So I suppose you have a destination in mind? If not we can find were most people will go to watch fireworks."
The first rockets were let off, large flaming balls of fire exploded in the air giving off various particle effects of red, orange and yellow, filling the night sky like stars before falling back to the ground in a rain-like manner. Citizens pointed in wonder as more and more rockets were sent twirling into the sky, forming various shapes and patterns, many type Kael had never even known to be possible before. <It seems the fireworks also work off of some form of magic.> Kael watched as a large rocket exploded and took the form of an eastern dragon, its snake-like body twirling across the edges of the sky before exploding into various other particles.
The show truly was one of wonder, Kael understood now why the whole town had been excited, more and more fireworks were let off, eventually people stopped watching as the rockets died down and went about visiting the stalls set up all throughout the streets, purchasing their cotton candy and other party essentials. "This is quite interesting." Kael moved away slowly noticing that others recognized him for his great interest, it was too easy to tell that this was the first of these festivals he had witnessed. <Better not look to surprised anymore, people are watching me.>
Kael continued wandering the streets, small glowing balloons had been tied along the sidewalks and there weren't any carts driving along at this point so people had just taken the roads for walkways instead, it was quite similar to the city Kael had grown up in, except for the magic and horse driven carts that was.
((I am? LOL. What a coincidence. That was the first name it came from the stupid random name generator. Oops, it was Ackkerman. I didn't know she had a surname, either. I'll be editing soon.
I'll be trusting the name generator this time. The surname is a goddamn of a pitiful name however I think surnames aren't important.
Either way, what's wrong with using a character's surname? What if I got a friend with said surname (thinking about, I do. Ackerman and Zimmerman. A bunch of men.)? It's not my fault they use -men names.))
((incorrect name in the bio but still, accepted.
It is mainly due to the fact that this RP is slightly based on AoT that the name Ackerman would cause issue.))

Alestan was enjoying a ham and cheese sandwich while he observed the fireworks, they each exploded into many forms and shone light hundreds of sparkling stars in, the people around him were clapping and cheering, however Alestan would not engage in such frivolous displays of amusement. At least he wouldn't do so while it was within his control, unfortunately certain things are outside Alestans control, and his random outbreaks of laughter were one of them. He begun to chuckle quietly, and that quiet chuckle turned into a mad laughter that lasted until the fireworks begun to die down.
I really should be more subtle. He thought although he was still chuckling lightly.
Xanthia speeds up as fast as she can arriving where most people were watching a little bit after the fireworks started and winces from the effort of it <Ah I won't be able to walk by the time I'm twenty.> She thinks and rubs her legs. She looks up at the sky and watches the fireworks go by. "So do you see anyone?" She says turning to face Amissius

Amissius points, rather calmly, at Kael. "There. His (Kael is a guy right???) name is Kael, and he has been chosen, just as you and I have been chosen Xanthia. Come on, I'm sure we can catch them."

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." - Marcus Aurelis
Name: Althalos Drake Age: 22 Gender: Male Species: Human Appearance: 5 ft 11, 68 kg, Generally wears the same clothing as in his picture, but he wears a gardeners hat when on the job. Personality: Althalos tends to settle for second best and has a realistic, logical approach towards situations he finds himself in. He's very polite, but also a bit of a wimp and generally doesn't stand up for himself or others. Like most Plant Magic users, Althalos has a strong connection to plants and animals, and often finds himself choosing to hang out with animals and plants over his human companions.
Out of all of the dreams Althalos has had, the biggest one by far is to travel outside the walls of Kingdom to discover and connect with new plants and animals he has never seen before. As this urge of his gets stronger, the more outgoing Althalos gets. And although, he hasn't noticed it himself the plants are sensing some sort of mental shift about to occur within Althalos's mind resulting in him having a completely new outlook on life. Most folk call this "mental shift", potential. Physical parameters: Althalos is lean and slightly muscly. He's quick on his feet, but his endurance is below average and he isn't the strongest of people. He can withstand a lot of damage emotionally and physically. His senses are keen. Bio: Althalos was born in a farming family that lived on the outskirts of Vigor. His family mainly grows potatoes to support themselves. Their house is decent in size and houses up to 8 people.
Althalos's 3 grandparents (Althalos's dad's parents and his mother's mom) helped around the house with meals and cleaning, while Althalos, his father, his mother and his big brother helped on the farm. Althalos's father was a hardy, almost emotionless, brick of a man who worked himself to exhaustion on many occasions using his Earth magic and hard labour to get the job done. Althalos couldn't understand his old man at all, but he accepted him and learnt from him nonetheless. Althalos's mother was a kind, supportive, hard-working person who used plant magic to help grow crops. She was the person who taught Athalos how to use his ability before the coming of age and the person he inherited it from. Althalos's big brother was a pain in the **** who had low expectations of himself and yet still managed to joke and make fun of Althalos. He had inherited their father's Earth Magic and made fun of Althalos for his "sissy" plant magic. All of Althalos's family affected his personality in one way or another.
When Althalos was 12, he journeyed to the Tower of Numinous to learn more about his Plant magic. That's where he met Ulric Rowntree. The Rowntree family is a family made up of a long line of Fire Magic users. Members of this family are generally hot-headed and looked down upon others. Because of Althalos's introverted, polite, weak personality and his Plant magic, Ulric and his gang saw him as a target and bullied him. Althalos was verbally abused constantly, and beaten up occasionally, and yet didn't say a damned word to anyone about it. He learnt to put up with and ignore bad people instead of standing up against them.
At the age of 19, while in Vigor, Althalos applied for a job as a gardener and was accepted fairly easily due to his Plant Magic. On the job, Althalos's connection with plants grew and he found peace and comfort in communicating with them. He's been doing the job for 3 years and just recently bought his own small, cheap house in town, moving out of his family's home. His mother - being the only member of the family supportive of Althalos's job - was the only one who waved Althalos off as he left his home of 22 years. His father, brother and grandparents were all doing their jobs around the house and ignored his departure Whether out of shame, or dedication to their work, Althalos never knew. Magic: Plant Inventory: Bread roll, pouch of coins [20], pouch of various plant seeds Other: Setting inspired by Shingeki no Kyojin and Shadow of the Collosus? I've skimmed through and/or read every IC post, but I haven't read any of the other applications properly, so I'm not sure how similar my character is to the others. I didn't exactly rush this application, but I haven't proof read it due to feeling unfocused, so point out any faults for me
((Yep, you got half of the inspirations down, there are two others. Anyhow, accepted.))
Kael looks towards the strange man dragging a female around and pointing at people, he points towards Kael just as he hears the man utter his name Kael <How does this stranger know my name?> Kael reached out about to communicate with the stranger before from nowhere several guards appeared, heading in the general direction of both Kael and this complete stranger who knew his name. "Run." Kael let the word out in an almost whisper-like tone hoping the man could hear him, the guards were approaching and there was no time.
Kael ducked into a nearby alleyway and rand towards the other end, the smell of cooking bread was ever present in the air indicating that the building to his right was no doubt a bakery, it was likely there would be people purchasing goods there if the oven was still on. Kael slid into the bakery and began browsing the wares they had on sale there, hoping not to be noticed by the guards.
(( Thanks. I don't think I know the other two inspirations then ))
Althalos feels as if he's nearing a turning point in his life as he walks down the busy main road during the festival. The plants have been hinting it for months now, and although he still doesn't understand what they're trying to say, he senses change in the near future. His childhood was brilliant by many people's standards. His teenage years were pretty terrible resulting in him becoming rather submissive. He puts up with a lot, not fighting. But as you should know, even the calmest, most durable person will one day snap given the right amount of push. Althalos isn't aware that he's overdue for this process. Will his life ever be the same after a character changing event like that? Probably not. But maybe then, he'll realize that the best thing a person can do in life is follow their dreams; their passions. Maybe then, he'll escape the imprisonment and the security of the walls, and discover the world.
He passes all of the stalls looking down at the road, a metre in front of his feet. He looks like he's trying to hide his face from the world. A bulky man shoulders Althalos. He's walking along with a group of friends that look like trouble. "Watch it, you girly looking man!" The man says. The group of people laugh at him together. Althalos turns to the men and bows, "Sorry. It won't happen again." The men laugh even harder as they walk off, blending into the crowd. Althalos goes back on his way, his head at a higher angle now, so he can see the path ahead of him better.
A drunkard who saw what happened to Althalos stumbles over to him, puts his arms around his shoulder and mumbles, "You shouldn't up with *hiccup* that crap!" He has a point, but Althalos doesn't see it that way. "I got in his way. He had every right," Althalos says, repeating the exact sort of denial he tells himself every time something like that happened. "You don't *hiccup* know what you're talking about, young *hiccup* man." The drunkard lets go of Althalos and walks off mumbling something to himself.
Althalos continues on. A sparrow watches him, unnoticed, on the roof of a stall. The significance of this bird is questionable, but it's there. Althalos turns down an alleyway and finds himself near a bakery. The smell of bread lures him in, and he so he stands in the bakery admiring the breads. Little does he know, he's literally right next to one of those mysterious Earth humans he had heard rumours about. He isn't sure if he believes in them or not. His mind is leaning more towards them not existing, because for most people, non-magical humans seem so far-fetched that the chance they're real are very slim.
(( I like the whole perspective thing I've got going on with Althalos, but dayum, a lot of his actions are cringe-worthy. I've made him so different to me that it just seems wrong roleplaying as him. But of course, that's why it's called "role"playing and therefore, I'll try my best to play this character ))
Xanthia watches Kael run by and notices the guards running after him and notices that they seem to also be ciming this ways "Um Amissius I think we should leave now." she tells him keeping her voice low and moves to follow after this Kael person.
