He would wake up and begin his early morning routine going out for a jog, coming inside getting a drink, and going out in the forest with a bow and some arrows and his sword. He'd begin tracking a deer for some time watching the paths it takes how it moves what it does when it hears something out of the even. He pulls his bow out and pulls out an arrow and slings it on the arrow and draws back. He takes a breath before releasing and hitting the deer in the head. "Gotcha" he said as he return his bow to its position and gets from his position and takes out a knife and drops his pack to begin skinning the deer for the meat and hide.
He walks back into town and goes to the butcher and throws his bag on the table.
"Hey Nigel got you some fresh meat today" He said
Nigel inspects the meat "Not bad 43 Coins"
"What!! Thats less than last week!!" Replies Ashton in rage
"It is what it is take it or leave it." He says as he throws a pouch of coins on the table
Ashton grabs the pouch and storms out of the butcher shop "What a ripoff..." He mutters to himself.
Name: Concor Age: 232 Race: Elf Gender: Male Appearance: Slightly shorter than average height for an Elf, green eyes, thin. Personality: Calm, a rational thinker, polite, trusting nature, and has respect for all races. Biography: A master of nature and change, he can easily transmute substances due to research that will be discussed later in more detail. Concor was inspired by stories of king Orrin's scientific ventures at a young age and, with his considerably greater Elf intellect, he expanded the field of alchemy and learned much about what the world is made of. He spent most of his life researching the world and how it works. When he was around 170, he spent quite a few years traveling and learning about the world abroad, and is completely fluent in English and the ancient language/Elvish, and is fluent enough in Dwarvish and Urgal to uphold most conversation. This is important to him, because he hopes to soon travel to the castle where Eragon is training new riders and become a mentor of magic and science. Career: Researcher, but not for long. Location: Ellesmera Other: Isn't very good with weapons of any kind, but can use his mastery of nature magic to his advantage in combat if necessary. Suggestions: Perhaps some information on whether we are allowed to dictate what characters from the book do, or whether you will be taking on that duty (I think the latter is most likely a good idea). Obviously, if I am accepted, and my character makes it to where Eragon is training the riders, some interaction between him and my character will be necessary.

Sorry, but I think cactusflower already reserved or got the last position as dragon+rider. I'll check, but you are probably too late. On a side note, it's 'Beor" instead of "Bear."

Accepted! I will probably take the roles of book characters if necessary, or if I make a moderator application, they would also be able to.

((Why not have this in an alternate universe where the main characters don't exist and none of the events from the books happen and WE would be the book characters WE would be the heroes ((or villains)) WE would shape the world to our own will.
We should leave, I comment as I realize that others are looking at us as if they might attack. I take Thunderclaw out of the inn and head for the city gates, enlightening him on the way. Ellesmera is to the north. It is an elf city, surrounded by forests; trees and lakes... there's the Beor mountains, where the dwarves live. The mountains are huge, it is amazing to see... Uru'baen used to be a place of evil, when the king Galbatorix lived. But now it is the center of the New Kingdom, and Lady Nasuada does a good job of ruling it. And far to the east, where Eragon Kingkiller lives, the lands where dragons and riders alike are trained... I continue, describing places around the world. I know that he probably doesn't care all that much, but it takes my mind off of everything that has been troubling me.

I was packing up my possessions at the end of my very last workday at the library. I recall my lengthy debate with my superior, the master librarian, to convince her I had to go. As I walk out the gilded front door the master librarian calls out to me: "Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!" I call back "You know perfectly well I do not use a sword, ebrithil!" She said "Not using a sword does not make it stay polished!" I walk to my house, a simple affair, something I grew myself out of a birch tree many years ago. I decide to take the long way, saying goodbye to my acquaintances and friends. I'm sure to draw in all the scenery, as I know it will not see it for a long time, if ever again. I reach my abode, and leave my bags by the door. My journey to the rider training grounds begins tomorrow, at dawn, as any journey should.
((I think it's important to discuss the location of the training grounds as well as some key points about Concor's journey, would you be so kind as to make that OOC thread, or would you rather just discuss it in these double parenthesis?))
((Cold may not be SOME dragons' weaknesses, but it's THIS dragon's weakness. While the books may have only focused on only one or two dragons, I'd imagine that they'd have an entire array of different likes/dislikes, strengths/weaknesses... basically, they aren't robots, lol.)) You sure know about a lot of different places... so, why are you here, out of all of them? they all sound like much nicer places than this... I reply to my rider. I then squirm my way out of his hands, and onto his shoulder... I imagine I won't be able to do this for very long. I then say to him, chuckling a bit, as I notice that I've already grown.... just a tiny bit.
I chuckle. They do say that dragons are the fastest-growing of any living thing. As to why I'm here... I honestly don't know. I just... came here. After I left training, there wasn't a home for me, since my parents had died while I was away. I went where I could find work, and before long- here I was. After a brief pause, I continued. Well, now we'll go somewhere else. An old saying goes: All roads lead so somewhere interesting, I quoted humorously.
We reach the city gate. A few guards, seeing my companion, quickly let us by. I begin to walk down a dirt path that led out of the city, into the unknown.

Somewhere interesting... I parrot to my rider. I then look back at the town... it was a somewhat nice little town, with its small buildings, and mercenaries that are gathering to kill us.... wait, that's not a good town at all, is it? Wait... um, are those mercenaries real? And are they trying to charge at us? I ask my rider, not sure as to whether or not I was simply seeing things, but there was a large group of people, and they all looked mean, and looked like they had nothing to lose.
((They could be illusions, or, just me seeing things, unless you want to start running from a group of mercenaries, lol.))
((Thanks for fixing my name :D, I been wondering how many years has it been since the books events anyway?))
The city was quiet, as if not one soul resided here. Odd, there shouldn't be so few people at this time of the day. After Daris continued walking, his questions were answered. The shops that lined up on the side of the city roads were empty and dark, few too many were even boarded up. What happened here? I have heard tale of unrest in this part of the world, but I never imagine that it would paralyze the city... Daris looked up at the sky, noticing the sun was just overhead There is no trade to be done here, not now, its early enough that I can a start on the road, guess Aroughs is the next city although I don't have any idea if conditions are better there, heh guess part of me wants to see that newborn dragon. Returning to his wagon Daris continued on his journey.
Fed up with Daret he decides he's overstayed his welcome and begins packing the few belongings he has. He throws a pendant around his neck his bow and quiver on his back his sword on his side and his pack around his shoulder. Before heading out the door he says "Brisingr" and the house begins to burn as he walks away out into the foest as he begins his journey towards Uru'Baen.
I see a group of menacing-looking people standing around a hundered yards behind me. This doesn't look good, I think. I walk faster, glancing over my shoulder. Then, one of them barks an order, and the group starts to run towards me. I start to break into a run, when I stop myself. Not this time. Right when they're about twenty yards away, I turn and shout, "Vindr Brisingr!"
The air around the mercenaries suddenly crackles with flame. The conjured blaze goes around ten feet tall, and encompases quite a few of the mercenaries. They shriek with pain for around ten seconds before I am forced to relinquish the fire. As the flame receeds, blackened corpses litter the ground. I am suddenly extremely tired, but must act as the remainder of the men rush towards me...
