Welcome to Middle Earth ; A Lord of The Rings Roleplay. This role-play is based during the Third Age, same as in the movies and books. The Ring has yet to be found and lays at the bottom of the river in Anduin, Gladden Fields - no one knows about it's whereabouts. You are about to begin your journey through the marvelous world created by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien ; Middle Earth. Shall you be a sword wielding warrior of a man or shall you be a normal farmer? That's up to you to decide.
Eriador is about 965.5 kilometers from east to west. It is mostly lowlands. Hill areas are mainly in around the realms of Arnor, the Shire in the center of the region and in the far eastern parts near the Misty Mountains. Plains and bottomlands are in the south and southwestern parts. A plateau area existed in the area were Rivendell and the Trollshaws were located. Eriador is largely made up of scattered woodlands with scrub lands in the north and northeastern parts. The rest are short grasslands mainly in the center of the region. Men, Hobbits and Elves reside here.
Gondor is a kingdom of men in Middle-earth, bordered by Rohan to the north, Belegaer to the west, Harad to the south, and Mordor to the east. Its first capital was Osgiliath, moved to Minas Tirith in TA 1640. The city of Minas Tirith remained the capital of Gondor for the rest of the Third Age and into years of the Fourth Age; other major fortresses include Dol Amroth, Pelargir, Osgiliath.
Lindon (Quenyan for 'Land of the Singers') is the longest-standing Eldarin Kingdom in Middle-earth, and the mightiest throughout the Second Age. At its height, it was ruled by Ereinion Gil-galad, High King of the Ñoldor, and was the strongest enemy of Sauron in Middle-earth during the Second Age. The realm endured through the Third Age, though diminished, and was the site of the Grey Havens, where the elves sailed to the Undying Lands.
Mordor is the realm of Sauron, in the southeast of Middle-earth to the East of Gondor, Ithilien and the great river. Mordor was chosen to be Sauron's fortress because of the mountain ranges surrounding it on three sides, creating a natural fortress against his enemies. Much of the land was a volcanic waste due to the activity of Mount Doom, but some could be cultivated and the Dark Lord's slaves raised food for his armies here as well.
Rhovanion or Wilderland is a large region of northern Middle-earth. The Great River Anduin flow through it, and the immense forest of Greenwood the Great is a part of it. Its boundaries are: To the east, the inland Sea of Rhûn. To the north, the Grey Mountains (Ered Mithrin) and Iron Hills, home of the Dwarves. To the west, the range of the Hithaeglir, or Misty Mountains. To the south, the line marked by the Limlight river, Anduin, Emyn Muil, Dagorlad, and the Ash Mountains (Ered Lithui).
Rhûn also known as The East and Eastlands in Westron is a large region in the far eastern part of Middle-earth where the Easterlings lived. Rhûn is a name used for all lands lying east of Rhovanion, around and beyond the inland Sea of Rhûn, from where many attacks on Gondor and its allies came during the Third Age.
Rohan, originally Rochand or Rochann, is a kingdom of Men, located in the land once called Calenardhon, situated in the great vale between the Misty Mountains and the White Mountains (Ered Nimrais). The land of Rohan extends from the fords of the river Isen in the west, up to the shores of Anduin the great in the east. The forest of Fangorn lay within the borders of Rohan, and Lorien lay to the north of the river Limlight. The land is known as Rohan to the Men of Gondor, and its people the Rohirrim, meaning 'the Horse-lords', but the people of Rohan called themselves the Eorlingas, sons of Eorl the Young, first King of Rohan, as the land of Calenardhon was given in gift to Eorl and his people by Cirion, Steward of Gondor, in thanks for their service to Gondor in battle against the Balchoth.
Quenya is the language spoken by the Elves. It was the language that developed among those non-Telerin Elves that reached Valinor (the "High Elves") from an earlier language called Common Eldarin.
Khuzdul is the language of the Dwarves. It appears to be structured, like the Semitic languages, around triconsonantal roots: kh-z-d, b-n-d, z-g-l. Not much is known of the language, as the Dwarves kept it to themselves, except for their battle-cry: Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu! Meaning Axes of the Dwarves! The Dwarves are upon you!
In Middle-Earth, Rohirric (also Rohirian and Rohanese) is the language of the Rohirrim of Rohan.
Westron or Common Speech is the closest thing to a universal language in Middle-earth. Westron is an English word, derived from West, not a word from the language itself. Westron is a translation of the original name Adûni, and "Common Speech" translates the Westron term Sôval Phârë, of identical meaning.
Valarin was the tongue of the Ainur and the oldest of languages. While the Valar were angelic beings with the ability to communicate through thought, a spoken language was unnecessary. Valarin was developed as part of their assumption of physical forms.
Men are a varied race, from the great Dunédain of the North to the skilled Horse-lords of Rohan, and from the proud soldiers of Gondor to the mysterious Haradrim far to the east. They are capable of great courage and honour; yet they can also easily fall prey to ambition, deceit, and betrayal. Known simply as the "Big Folk" to the Hobbits of the Shire, Men are characterized by a large, strong frame and a driving will borne out of a relatively short life span.
Called "Halflings" by some due to their size relative to Men, these small folk enjoy the peaceful endeavours of farming, eating, and gift giving, rather than concerning themselves with the dangerous affairs of the rest of Middle-earth (save the legends of Hobbit bowmen in the wars of Fornost). In these dark days, however, it is the unassuming Hobbits, with their often surprising adeptness of both word and action, that will have the greatest impact in the war.
Living a secretive life in their homes beneath the great mountains, Dwarves are expert miners and workers of stone and metal, capable of crafting with great strength and renown, along with unparalleled beauty and intricacy. Unwavering and proud, the Dwarves fight for the good side of Middle-earth (although an ages-old mistrust exists between Dwarves and Elves), emerging from their deep dwellings to bring their strength and fierce combat skills to bear in the battle against the evil side. Dwarves stand on average approximately 4 1/2 to 5 feet high and typically live long lives of 250 years or more.
In ages past, the Elves divided into many different groups, and settled throughout Middle-earth, primarily in the ancient forested realms where they yet live. Tall and strong, fair and graceful, Elves have keen senses and a deep affinity for the beauty of the natural world around them. Elves do not "die" in the way understood by Men; Elves often live in the lands of Middle-earth for thousands of years, suffering neither the effects of time nor disease, though the body of an Elf may be struck down in battle. At the end of their days in Middle-earth, the Elves travel to unknown realms across the western sea.
Orcs are described as man-shaped, roughly man-sized, ugly and filthy. They have sour black blood; suggestive of reanimated corpses. Orcs are used as soldiers and henchmen by both the greater and lesser villains of The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings — Morgoth, Sauron and Saruman. Orcs are cannibalistic creatures that seem to feel no pain in battle.

Chapatrap | Fosco Moss ;
Name: Fosco Moss
Race: Hobbit Age: 30 Class: Hunter> Gender: Male Personality: Always curious and clever, Fosco was a lot more aware of the world around him than other Hobbits. Some dried pork meat and a small glass bottle of water. Strengths: Archer: A skilled bowman Curiosity: Can push for answers from people and search places. Biography: Fosco grew up in The Shire, Son of Dimple and Podo Moss. He was curios of the world around him and often explored. His parents begged him to take a good, hobbit job but he didn't listen. He met Elves and Humans wandering around the forest. One day, he was introduced to the bow and arrow by an Elf. In awe, he asked if the Elf could teach him how to use it. The Elf laughed and let him have a go with his big bow. He, of course, failed to shoot the arrow more than a few feet. He asked the Elf if he could make him a bow more set to his size. The Elf agreed and made him a small bow from the branch of a black thorn tree. The Elf taught him how to fire and make arrows. After the Elf left, he began practising by shooting at a tree. He gradually got better and better and was soon good enough to shoot animals. He usually aimed for the eye, for his small arrows had no effect on the big animals. Now the talks of Orcs and Mordor are growing scarier and closer and little Frosco Moss is worried about the future.

(( I would join but no Orcs? I don't care if itds Uruk Hai or normal goblin. Reserve anyway))
(( Shadow is accepted and appointed mod - he helped me create this.
Me and Shadow were discussing about Orcs and have decided to add them as a playable race. But you must understand that Orcs are considered to be evil and will be killed on site. So the existence of orcs are rare.
Question, where do orcs of all kind live? In hiding? Anyhow, you're reserved. I'll add orcs to the OP tomorrow, but if anyone has any objections about Orcs feel free to post. ))

His teenage years consisted of stopping bullies from harming the innocent children of Edoras. He gained a lot of strength, but was considered an asshole among a large group of teens, but a hero to the weaker group of teens and children.
He managed to train with one of his father's sword in the years leading up to his 18th birthday. The day his family would allow him to join the military force of Edoras. He got good with the sword, a lot of that having to do with the strength he built up from protecting the citizens.
On his 18th birthday, Ariel joined the Edoras military and began his soldier duties.
It has been 7 years and he is now craving adventure.
Race: Hobbit
Age: 30
Class: Hunter>
Gender: Male
Personality: Always curious and clever, Fosco was a lot more aware of the world around him than other Hobbits. Not interested in their idly lifestyles, he is always exploring and looking at maps. He is very organised, as you could see if you visited his small home. One of his downfalls is he can be rash and is very greedy. He can also be a coward if things get too tough.
Appearance:
City of Residence: The Shire ( I can't remember the name of it but that little town in LOTR before the Forest?)
Equipment: A small bow and a dagger. A quiver of fifteen arrows. Some dried pork meat and a small glass bottle of water.
Strengths:
Archer: A skilled bowman
Curiosity: Can push for answers from people and search places.
Woodsman: He knows how to camp out and survive in the forests.
Weaknesses:
Greed: He will take more than he needs
Rashness: He will do things without thinking
Size: His size means enemies often under estimate him. Also useful for hiding.
Biography:
Fosco grew up in The Shire, Son of Dimple and Podo Moss.

Race: Men
Age: Seventeen
Class: Hunter
Gender: Female
Personality: Aleviel is fairly easy to get along with, but she holds a grudge if you get on her bad side. She is very obedient to those she trusts as leaders and kind to teammates, but indifferent to everyone else. She is not the bravest of the bunch, but she is logical and has common sense.

Strengths: Aleviel has been riding horses since she was very young, and can perform intricate maneuvers while on horseback (think vaulters), can rope almost anything moving or not, and is quite nimble.
Weaknesses: Aleviel is still learning how to use her axe and crossbow, and can be a bit off the mark with those. She is also a horrible runner if she has to go long distances, and is still quite young and naive about the world and things like magic.
Biography: Aleviel lived all of her life working with her father's blacksmithing business and her mother's horse farm. She went to an agriculturally-based school and learned about different plants and animals. However, she never really made many friends in Rohan and doesn't really have any ties there aside from her parents and her home. One day she saw some adventurers come through her father's blacksmith shop before returning home from a long quest and they told her stories of their ventures. She immediately thought it would be wonderful to take a quest of her own, and has been determined to find someone to go with since.

I'll add orcs to the OP tomorrow, but if anyone has any objections about Orcs feel free to post. ))
