Brokcrest
((I've gtg to bed, but I'll leave you with this.))
"Hmmm... It seems like those two aren't going to come." Brokcrest thought to himself. "Oh well, their loss."
Suddenly the back of Brokcrest's mind tickled. "Another survivor! How interesting... Perhaps I should go introduce myself. I mean, he did survive because of my mistake! Haha! If those two want to know the truth, they can come find me." Brokcrest smiled as he wrapped his dark cloak tighter around him, hiding the great sword within the folds of the cloth. With a final glance back, he continued into the dark forest.

As I peered into the darkness of the forest, I saw some weird, greenish thing stumbling along. I couldn't get a good look at it, because as quickly as it had come, it had gone. "Okay, calm down, don't attract attention.. It'll be fine, just get moving." As I began to walk forward, I realize that I'm in some sort of an indent in the ground. A crater? But the surface of it was covered in grass and flowers. How long have I been laying here? Ugh.. I guess that would explain why I'm aching so much. I started climbing the nearest tree to see if I could find a way out of this forest. -TWANG- "What the!?"
Suddenly an arrow lands right where I had been standing on the ground, nearly a second ago. I began to panic and darted up the tree as fast as I could until I was at a somewhat safe distance. I looked down to see a pale figure standing below me, holding a bow in his hand. It eventually looked up, and I was greeted by what looked like a human skeleton. I simply sat there, staring into it's unnaturally dark eyes for a couple minutes until a red glow swooped in from above. Climbing even farther up the tree revealed the source of the sudden light - The sun! Thankfully, now I could get a better look of my surroundings, which mostly seemed to be trees, mountains, and plains, no civilization. Scattered all around the forest were gaps, and then a huge crater in the middle, cutting the forest into two sections. In the distance, a pillar of smoke was bellowing out from between the trees.
By the time Brokcrest reached the survivor, the sun had already risen. The light was only a minor discomfort for Brokcrest, the folds of his cloak hiding his skin.
"Hello there friend!" Brokcrest called up to a BlitzCat sitting at the top of tree. "It seems you must have survived as well! Do not fear, I am a friend! Come down, I will explain everything to you!"

Everything was better now that the sun was rising. I sat upon the branch and bathed in the warmth of the light. The sudden words originating from below startled me, but filled me with hope. I looked down to see quite a shadowy figure standing near the tree. "The skeleton is gone?" I began my descent, swinging and dropping gradually down the height of the plant. I finished with a soft landing onto the ground. "So you can explain THIS!? An entire metropolis just.. Gone?"
((Sorry about taking so long. I'm supposed to be helping out to get ready for an airshow. I'll probably be gone for an hour and a half(When I leave, that is)))
"What do you mean I did it once? And yes I can use magic... And why do you think I'm here? I have something to tell you of." I then launched in to great detail about what Brokcrest has done, what happened to my parents and where I ended up after this happened. Once I finished it was near dusk.

((I'm not really sure, but I'm going to assume that Brokcrest was that orc you were talking about))
Zeke sat in a state of shock. "So... Brokcrest killed your family? That would explain your hate for him. But... you said that he was an orc. He certainly didn't look like one. He looked almost... human."
Zeke looked up at the sky. "It's getting dark again. I think that those monsters only come out during the night. Maybe we should get started on a basic shelter? Heck, maybe we should make a house, and put smoke up everyday to attract any other survivors. Make a town y'know, start over. It would make this nightmare a lot easier to handle." Zeke started mumbling to himself about farms as he went around collecting wood preparing to make a workbench.

"Of course my friend." Brokcrest smiled as the Blitz jumped gracefully down the tree. "I would explain it to here and now if it wasn't so dangerous. There are things I like to call... Creepers that roam around, and they're quite dangerous. I have a shelter not to far from here, follow me."
Brokcrest turned around without waiting for an answer, and began walking out of the forest. He knew that the Blitz would follow him.

Qualien Creepers? That's probably what I had seen earlier... I'm a bit torn between going on my own, and following this mysterious guy who JUST happened to appear when the monsters disappeared, and apparently knows what the hell is going on here. But if he really does know, then it would be invaluable information to have, and it seems like this is my only chance to figure out what happened to my home. I started walking after the man, who was wasting no time to get to his housing.
((Hold up.. It JUST turned day, and now it's dusk? I think that's a little unfair that we have to deal with the monsters without a chance to do anything during the much safer daytime.))
((Good point, but he didn't say it was turning night. He said it was to stay away from creepers, which don't burn. Don't worry, you'll have your share of daytime.))
It was only a few minutes walk to Brokcrest's shelter. It was a large cave, right next to a particularly large crater in the ground.
When Qualien entered, he noticed that the cave looked very old. The walls and floor had been completely smoothed, and a pile of tools sat next to a workbench and furnace in the corner. In a separate corner stood a lone bed. Next to the bed was a double chest, locked with a padlock that seemed to be glowing. In the center of the room was a dead campfire, with four crudely made wooden chairs surrounding it.
"Please, make yourself at home, I will explain in a second." Brokcrest said warmly to Qualien as he walked over to the burnt out campfire.
"Fyre." Brokcrest uttered. The once cold campfire burst into flames. "Please take a seat my friend. First things first. My name is Brokcrest, what is yours?"
((I ended it here, in case you wanted to like, murder him or something. IDK))

"Thanks.." The cavern seems quite homey for well, a cavern! It certainly seems like hard work was put into it to make the hollow as comfortable as possible. I took a seat close to the fire on one of the chairs. They feel sturdier than they look, that's for sure. "My name is Qualien. I must say, your home is quite well kept, in what is essentially the wilderness."
((Murder him? Pffthaha! The only things that I have which could be potentially lethal are my fangs and claws. Unless I take off my shirt and strangle this obviously suspicious and dangerous looking man, who seems to be full of knowledge of this land and would probably have some sort of weapon to defend himself from the creatures that live here, not even considering the fact that he can use magic! Cough.. Sorry, a bit of a character to player moment there. Sorry for punching a hole in the fourth wall... Oh, and I was talking about the fact that when Vevila was explaining her past, it took like twelve hours to do so. It just seems way too unreasonable.))
"Yes... I take great pride in my... experiments... This cave being the home base of all of them. Now, as for what happened, let me explain from the beginning." Brokcrest took a seat and took his hood off. He was a human, that was for sure, but his eyes showed differently. They were pure gray, and full of wisdom and hate. His face bore a scar, beginning from his left eye, leading to his right ear. His jet black hair tumbled down his face, covering the gray eyes that longed for information, that studied everything.
((Epic story/character development time!))
This was once the land of Ka'Uhran. The land thrived with villages, towns, and cities, filled with every race; ranging from Quas to Fyre. But then I was born. I was born human, but I've taken many vessels, from Orcs to Elves. But I always carried these eyes, and this scar. I always loved experiments. Maybe I loved them too much. But I knew that one day, I would perish. That was, until I learned how to carry my soul into another vessel. One of the greatest experiments ever. That allowed me to continue my experiments for as long as I wanted. But then it came to the ultimate experiment. Bringing the dead back to life. Every. Person's. Dream. But in order to test that, I needed test subjects. Dead, test subjects. So I did the most simple thing I could. Why not start life over? Why not wipe Ka'Uhran of all of its living beings, and slowly bring them back to life? So that's what I did. I destroyed each and every community in this land, and using the dead bodies, I did my experiments. But they all failed! And now you see my failed attempts every night. Now they roam the land in the shadows. The ultimate experiment FAILED. I was going to give up. But then there were survivors. Namely you, and some others. Frankly, it meant that you were stronger than normal folk. Then I thought. Why not try One Last Experiment? How would test subjects survive in harsh situations, with almost no company? It was certainly a good question, and one that should be answered. And can you guess who these test subjects are going to be? You got it, you guys. I've made Ka'Uhran into a testing ground. And the test subjects need to survive.
"But you seem different." Brokcrest addressed to the now shocked Qualien. "You seem to good to be a test subject, that is almost doomed to to die. Why not join me? You could help me run the tests. You, could be one of the strongest people alive. Seems like an interesting proposition doesn't it?" Brokcrest smiled to Qualien. "How does that sound...partner?"

Slashes at a nearby rock, as if to mark his start.
For me to survive I must do what is logical; search for survivors, if there are any in these horrid ruins...
Gathering his composure he looks around and looks for anything that might guide him.
First of all I will look around these ruins, although it seems hopeless, if I managed to survive then there would be a chance of others or objects surviving along with me. If it will not get my anywhere, at least I will be confident that I will leave without leaving clues behind.
And with that he climbed to the top of the crater and to heading for the other crater's nearby.

My ears caught the final words of Brokcrest, shrugging them off as quickly as I could. As soon as I was out of sight of the cave, I checked the time, and saw that is was some time before evening. I began running, as to save as much time as I could. Not to far away, I accidentally bump into something and fell backwards. "Ugh..." I look up to see an elven girl standing tall above me. I quickly tried to recover from the fall, standing almost as tall as she does. "S-Sorry, friend. I was just trying to.." My feet began too drag me backwards at a minuscule pace, slowly backing me up against a tree. This probably wasn't the best situation I could be in at the moment.

Back behind a wall of trees, Zeke heard the muffled sounds of a conversation. Or what seemed like a conversation. He heard talking, but in a language he couldn't understand. "Uh... Vevila? Is that you?" Zeke called out, hoping that it wasn't a monster hiding behind the trees.
