your name isn't really known amongst us. And no, we don't judge you on that.
Thanks for pointing that out; this is yet another example of when a high-horsed opinion is being given without being asked for.
Thank you.
This is not only elitist, but condescending.
This forum is in a sad state, and I wouldn't think of role playing here anyway. My advice to the mods is to man up and show these children (who were clearly bullied in school/beaten by their parents and are therefore stuck with massive inferiority complexes) that the rules need to be followed; I'm surprised that you guys have the rocks to even debate with the staff, but then again, it's quite clear that you guys are all amazing and supersede the rules anyway.
My opinion has been voiced. I'll leave you guys to your devices.

Looking for a real, character driven RP server to play on with staff members who know how to spell. Contact me.

We're just a strong people who fight for what they believe. It seems kind of unnecessary as this is just a roleplay section of a forum, but we're fighters, and we believe in giving newcomers a better chance, they just take it the wrong way, usually. If their RP is really bad, we tell them what needs fixing, and to participate before creating. If it's good, we tell them it's good, but to join a few more RPs to get respected. It's the way we tell them that they take it harshly, because on the internet, you can't hear tone of voice or see facial expression. You can only read words.

I would tell you about how awesome I am down here, but I have a feeling you probably already know that. <- Please. ._.
We really try to tell them to get well-known for a better chance of RP success. It's only that we usually come across as harsh because many newcomers aren't familiar with constructive criticism.
As I have stated before, if you want to help, help. Telling someone to "Not make a thread because he is new" is not helping. Pointing out mistakes in a polite way is constructive criticism, telling someone he is new and should not make a thread is trying to sink it.

It's hard to follow your dreams when you run from your nightmares. --
Just don't discourage and don't disrupt. Even if you think you may not have been discouraging, if the other member thinks you have done so, then you have. If you reply with "But I tried to explain but they don't understand that I'm not putting them down," then you have failed to relay the point across to them. Say it in a way they would understand, instead of putting the blame of misinterpreting your intentions on them. As for disrupting, if you've made the flow of the roleplaying falter, then you've disrupted. That's pretty much all there is to it.
You're judging me, by the words I said. While I merely stated what happened most of the time. I have never even said to people that they should participate before they create. I always just help them. I have also never considered myself an elitist. I've never considered myself anything than just an RPer. Also, I've helped sometimes in the beginning of RPs, take for example FoYou's RP. And I tried helping that Searzel's RP, I don't really remember his name.
Don't judge me, simply by the words I speak/type.

“I was thinking that work is like fertilizer in that I'm glad it exists; I just don't ever want to get stuck in it.”
For the imbeciles who will attempt to label me a troll, this is my nonchalant way of informing all of you how INCREDIBLY silly you all appear, and within the same thought, questioning why this silliness is allowed to continue and why this thread hasn't been locked.

EXCEPT there are people that can't take constructive criticism. I could say "Your story is a little short and also lacks descriptiveness a little, I'd work on that." And they could reply with "RAWR RAEG ANGER TROLLOLOLOLOLOLOL GRRRRR" or whatever.

I'm always happy just 'cause there isn't a reason to be sad.
Don't take this as there is nothing that could cause sadness. I just mean it's pointless to dwell on it. I mean, depression is so boring.

This does happen a lot. I predict it will be happening more so now that we aren't in FA, where the whole forum is constructive criticism.

Except, that is more of an exaggeration. And it shows a bit of elitist attitude there. It wasn't all constructive, there were trolls there too. Basically you just said Fan Art is better than Off-Topic, so essentially, yeah. That's a little elitist there.

Actually, I meant that the people in FA are used to criticism because art gets criticism. I didn't mean to sound elitist.

People going into a riot about the implementation of a minor rule that has already existed for a while now under a different wording and bickering to themselves in a ridiculous and silly fashion even after it's been resolved and dealt with in the new section that has been created for it dissappoints me. The fact that RP threads were able to skimp the radar in Fan Art, when it wasn't even art (last I remember, roleplaying is a genre of entertainment), and that you can still talk about how is was better over there, blows my entire mind.
When the staff lays out a rule, there is usually no need to question it, because it's typically common sense. The fact that the staff have let this thread on for so long only shows how compassionate they are to your opinions, even if this entire debacle is so ridiculous it makes me want to gouge my eyes.
I am not as compassionate when it comes to these things, and watching people tear each other up about a ridiculously minor rule that should be pretty easy to follow. The discussion in this thread is over, and it is now locked. Go roleplay and enjoy yourselves now.
Elitism.
