Before any of the others could respond to Collin's situation, the tree behind the creature seemed to come alive, and it's branches snatched the hissing being and pulled it away from Collin. The branches then extended upward, and as the creature was lifted into the air, it exploded; raining sulfur down on Collin.
A new figure emerged from out of sight, an older looking man, clad in robes. He held an outstretched stave in one hand, and his other was clenched in a fist; when he opened this fist, a strange rock was revealed, and the man placed it into a pouch strapped around his waist. He then extended his hand to Collin.
"I have seen you. In my dreams."
He helped Collin to his feet, and then began attempting to put out a fire that had started on the tree, because of the explosion.
"You may call me Zach. Make no mistake, child, this meeting was no coincidence," he spoke as he battered the flames with his robe sleeves, "the Gods have brought me to you, and you to me."
((i kno creepers dont start fires in minecraft, but this seemed more realistic xP))
Collin blinked, and just stared at the man in awe. "Th-thank you..." was all he managed to say, before finally snapping back to reality. "Oh... Um... Sorry... It's nice to meet you, Zack. And... The Gods..?" He asked, a bit confused, never having heard of gods before where he was raised.
He then rolled his shoulders and popped his back, having hurt them a bit when falling. He then extended a hand to Zack, smiling. "I'm Collin, by the way. Sorry.... That scene was just.... Do you happen to know what that thing was..?" He asked Zack, smiling a bit, and kicking some dirt onto the flames, trying to help extinguish them.
[Makes sense. :3 And excuse my bad posts... I'm really tired. xD]
Brendan was too occupied with this possible breakthrough to bother with the hectic problems going back in the forest. It didn't matter to him in the slightest. His mind was important here, not their survival. He still wasn't sure why he was even sticking around this place.

Draken was jerked awake by an explosion near his tent. Flailing blindly, he gripped his battle-axe and tore out of his tent, looking around and seeing a tree on fire and a gathering on men. Stalking over to them, he said heatedly,
"Better be a damned good reason I got woken up."

Vincent couldn't care for what had happened outside his tent, he was too busy looking for the medicine he had lost. When he looked to his right, he found wet papers. As he rummaged through them, he found that the medicine was tilted leaving half of what was there before. "Wew! Now I should put the apple skins and the dandelions in and see for myself!" he sighed. Vincent carefully put the skins in as well as the flowers. Nothing happened. Vincent smiled at it with disappointment, and so he went outside while holding the container. Not a sign of curiousness of what was going outside, he went to the back of his tent still smiling and holding. He dug the dirt with a stick he found nearby, enough to place the medicine container in. He then placed it in the hole and buried it. "Screw this medicine! I hate it and I dont wanna see it ever!" with a sudden change from a wide smile to a horrible mouth.
As he finshed burying it, he went to his 'friends' and asked, What'd I miss?" still with a slight disappontment inside.
Looking around, Austin sighs. "Some figure in the trees, it exploded, this guy came out." Half of the group walks up, and Austin just looks around. Half of them already have weapons. "Hey uh... Draken. Don't want to seem like a thief or a power freak, but wouldn't it be best to have a military trained man with that battleaxe?"

Draken never parted with his battle-axe. Normally, people who suggested that he do so ended up with a few missing limbs. But he liked Austin, so he shook his head and said,
"If you're in need of a weapon, jes' say so."
He reached behind his back to draw a dagger...well, HE considered it a dagger. To others, it was more like a short sword. Draken drew the dagger/short sword, flipped it so he was holding the blade, and held it out to Austin.

"In my travels, Collin," Zack said, shaking Collin's hand before returning to the tree, "I have seen this creature before. Many dark beings roam the lands and corners of the world where light hides its face." Soon enough, the fire was put out, though Zack's sleeves were burnt and almost torn.
"And yes Collin. The gods have brought us to each other. I am meant to stay here with you and yours. This is not a problem, I assume?" In his mind Zack knew this was not a problem, he did not for a moment doubt his gods, but he did not wish to impede his acceptance, so he nonetheless asked.
Taking the dagger, Austin wasn't impressed. "Atleast it's a weapon." Walking off back to the fire, he begins chopping away for seats again. By now he has several chips of logs cut in half down the middle, so it's a bit of a semi-cylinder. Placing them within three or so feet of the fire, he sits along one. "Comfy."
Vincent had seen the explosion marks, and wondered what in the world happened. He didn't bother asking but instead turned around and walked towards his tent. He saw Draken walk too, he looked a bit tiring and Vincent was guessing he would go back to sleep."Come to think of it," he says "I, too, am a bit sleepy".
As he walked in his tent, he immediately dropped and slept.
Austin needs no sleep. Only thoughts. To bring them back, to nurse them. A single tear was brought among his eye as he thought of his squad. Although he had known them for not but a month or two, they were damn hospitable. Nicest people he'd ever met. They took him in, adopted him almost. Taught him tricks of the trade, how to kill a man without a scratch... how to survive, they molded a new man.
He admired that. With them dead, destroyed by the tsunami, he was alone. New people, sure, but... they weren't the same. Austin knew he'd have to take control, though. He'd become a sergeant. No longer a private. Build a civilization through harsh terms, alone in the wild with a rag-tag group of half a dozen or so. Wiping his eye, he stares to the fire. His make-shift axe stands next to him, and the shortsword as well.
Kote watched the military man stare deep in to the fire. He had been around enough warriors to tell him that the man's past was rearing it's ugly head. Kote decided to join him, bringing two mugs of beer he had filled from one of his tankards and passing one to the man. For a long while Kote just sat there with him, taking swigs of his beer, yet making no comment. He was also staring in to the fire, seeing the shape's of his ban of warriors, slaughtered to the last man, old Ben staring up to him with lifeless eyes, the Pigman who he had defeated. It all came back to him. He began to feel his body shake, and steadied himself with a gulp of beer.
Finally, he turned to the man, extending his arm. "Kote," he said simply.
Sipping on his as well, he extended his hand. "Austin." He puts the emptied mug down onto the makeshift seat beside him. "So... what was your original reason for coming here, Kote?"
A new figure emerged from out of sight, an older looking man, clad in robes. "Well, if it's all sorted, I'll be going back to bed. Hopefully, all the way to the morning."
Draken turned on his heel, and stalked back to his tent, where he promptly flopped down on his pallet, and fell asleep within the minute.
As he walked in his tent, he immediately dropped and slept.
