((I would think...the only "clean" race. We believe we are better than all other races who serve, so yes, we are mutual 'friends'*shudder* Let's not use that word again. Ever.))
((Heheheh. Funny guy, there. BTW, do we eat?))
((Also, it's been sooo long since I've done it in 3rd person, this ought to be fun...))
Gar'Kuth sat on his old, iron-wrought chair as he looked around the camp at his brethren. He continued tending the rolling fire in front of him by manipulating the fire; there was no wood for fuel, just his magics. He preferred heat to cold, but darkness was a factor too; as such, all his fires were a dark blue, fading slowly to a lighter blue, and cast off very little radiance.
He was waiting for the big move out, whenever Ahtren told the Band to move out. He was fairly senior ranked, and a veteran of many battles; scars across his body testified to his exploits and triumphs in the name of Ahtren and the Necro'Tyr. He only hoped that someone would talk to him, to ease the boredom in his being. It had been so long since he'd seen any action.

Nimikaleen sat back in the darkness, watching the old tentacle-man do his work. She sighed. He wasn't one she wanted to manipulate at all. Didn't have a thirst for power, he looked terrible, and only had magic. Quite simply, she just didn't want to get involved with this character at all. Just as she was about to leave, her sheath dropped from her waist, hitting the ground with a lot klang.
"Ah, ****." She mumbled. "Fantastic..." She reached over and grab it, sighing. Now she would have to make conversation.

The Exalted walked over to Gar'Kuth, the sight of a fellow Atramentar relieving him of the feeling of traveling with the other twisted being. "Gar'Kuth,"it spoke, it's multiple eyes unraveling the mysteries of his flesh. "We move now. A Free outpost is nearby." It chose it's next words with relish."We strike at dusk tomorrow."
Nimikaleen looked with surprise. The 'Great' Exalted one was near her, and he didn't even notice her dropping he sword! Ha! So much for his unrivaled talents. She shrugged, and undid her ponytail, letting her hair fall down. The Exalted was a man of power, however...
Nimikaleen slowly walked towards the two, coming out of the darkness. "Attacking while they sleep, hmm?" Her soft voice said quietly. "How generic."

Gar'Kuth spoke to Nimikaleen without even looking at her, "Attack while they are asleep; a simple, yet efficient, way of catching them off guard." Looking at The Exalted, Gar'Kuth said, "When we do attack, they will come in force." Gar'Kuth stood up, all semblances of age disappearing as he rose from his old chair. His muscles rippled slightly under his clothing, and he seemed to be more...whole. "That is, if they are allowed to send word." At this, his staff rippled slightly, flaring a bit with the dark energies. Turning to Nimikaleen, he added, "And do try to hide your intents a bit better, you almost insult me."

"Not to worry, I have a plan, as always." It licked it's razor-sharp teeth. "Nimikaleen," it turned to face her."You will be...guarding the supply lines and escape routes." It gave her a wicked smile, full of sharks' teeth."I'm sure this will be a perfect example of how valuable you are to our master."
Raxis tapped his foot in frustation, waiting was not one his best quality's. He stared at the falling sun. Raxis pulled out his dagger and kept it by his side, if they were to leave now, trouble would follow. He had seen monsters before, deadly skeletons stalking whoever entered their territory. Raxis never confronted them he would run fearing whatever powers they might have. "Powers" was a term Raxis used quite seriously. He had once spoken to a strange man talking of a stone. Cast into the shadows, away from life. The stone could cause even the kindest of people to turn into servants of the Devil. Raxis studied the two men he would be traveling with. They stood broad, with no fear. Raxis got out of his hunched position and stood straight, waiting for the fellow goblin to give orders.
((In my honest opinions, knowing somebodies intentions is slight godmodding and overpowered, because if someone wants to double cross, be a spy, or think something to himself he immediatley knows, making certain plot advancements harder to pull off.))
Nimakaleen crossed her arms. "Fine..." She said with a sigh. "I never get the best action." As she said this, her hand draped to her katana, slightly unsheathing it. "You should know by now I'm a lot stronger than I look, Exalted." Shrugging, she twirled the katana out of the sheath and tossed it in the air, and then balancing it on the tip of one of her claws.
"But I'm glad we can finally get out. It's so boring here all the time."

(My thoughts were that he can only sense the intents of his followers. Very, very faintly for any enemies, like the Free people. Sorry for leaving that bit out.)
"Exalted, what is my role in this?" Gar'Kuth asked The Exalted. "I have grown weary of staying behind to guard the camp against the countless resources that besiege us, even though it is said I do a fine job of it..."

"Eh, well, if I'm gonna be travelin' with you guys, I might as well know your names. I'm John."

I'm always happy just 'cause there isn't a reason to be sad.
Don't take this as there is nothing that could cause sadness. I just mean it's pointless to dwell on it. I mean, depression is so boring.
The Exalted glanced at Nimakaleen, before turning to face Gar'Kuth. "Gar'Kuth...yes, you have done well. Keep the town occupied. Slaughter any man, woman, or child who stands in your way. Kill the militia. Disable communications. Cripple them from the inside." It stood to it's full height, it's crown of horns easily making it eight feet. "I will kill their mos skilled warriors," he grinned savagely."And they will fear my name."
Nimikaleen shrugged. "You seem quite full of yourself there, Ex. Are you sure I can't take along? I'm sick of using the men of power when their power simply crumbles when you are done with them. There isn't any value to it." She sighed, brushing her hair out of her eyes with her normal hand. "Let me have fun for once, please?"

"Nimikaleen, you declare that my ego is inflated, yet I see you standing here, twirling your sword, and insulting those of higher rank. However, your...interesting bravado has allowed me to reconsider my options. Very well. You will fight first. When the horn calls, you lead the charge at the front gates." The Exalted gave her look that clearly stated, satisfied? It grinned devilishly.
Nimikaleen rolled her eyes, re-sheathing her sword. "I'm not a very serious person. I get bored. Every raid we ever do, it's me distracting the powerful human men so they have a harder time ordering their city around." Stretching, she groaned. "But, thanks. It'll give me something different to do."
