"Oh dear, lady, I don't think I could leave you behind like that! I think that I should help you!" Sneeze was kind of catching on with her plan - she wanted to escape. It was quite obvious, but he hoped they weren't catching on.
"We will fight - together! But uhm... When we going?"
<Julianna>
Julianna sighed, and shrugged. Guess the Gremlin was too caught up with finally finding a 'friend'. Oh well - He was hopefully smart enough to catch on.

"We? No, we have more important matters at hand, and we cannot spend our resources helping you. No offence, madam and Gremlin, but we will need to hold onto this town, and many others." Walter stated. "keep going north of this town and you'll find an inn, see if anybody there will help you in your quest. Once you've recruited some men, or at least gotten out of the inn, you will continue north to the gate, that is where you will find a road that leads to Roiktus forest. Take the first turn west on a bump little dirt road. follow that road and eventually you will see an Imperial Banner. Turn south when you reach the banner, and walk until you see a camp of elves, Lizardmen, mercenaries and such that we've gathered to help us. Their leader is an elf, warrior, I assume, who will tell you the rest." Walter gave both Sneeze and Julianna filled leather packs. "In these leather packs you will find a canteen of water, flint and steel, an Imperial seal and rations. there's also a little something "Special" for both of you. My men will escort oyu to the inn. Farewell." Walter finished, and with that, two men in a chainmail mesh with hammers and swords forcibly took them by the arms and rushed them out the barracks, not giving them a chance to face Walter or Kuran, much less speak with them. Outiside, the men let them go freely and kept pace behind them, watching to see if they would turn back or try to flee.

...Wow. She thought - this was a LOT easier than expected. Not only are they leaving them alone, but they are giving her supplies? How stupid WERE these people? She smiled, nodded, and casually walked back down to the north of the town, and walked into the inn for a while - basically for a while to shake them off.
<Sneeze>
Sneeze followed close behind, tinkering. He had been messing around with his backpack, but he didn't go far in - he didn't want to ruin the 'surpise' of the secret thing. He did, however, realize that it could be a tracking device. If they went out of place...

"Now my kinsmen! Strike these primitives down!" A cry could be heard through the air as a mass of elves charged at the Inquisitor and her soldiers, who were taken unaware.
"An ambush! Men, group together and fight off our assalants, Musketeers, run behind the trees and shoot strays! For the Glory of our holy Emperor!" She cried, pulling what looked to be an ornamental pistol from her belt, long and frilled at the end of the barrel, black and sleek with a metal skull engraved upon it. All was normal about this pistol, except for the fire that burned at the end of the barrel. Closer examination would've revealed wires from it to inside the Inquisitors' clothes, but no one looked. "In flames, elves! You have no place here!" She looked upon a group of elves, and a beam of blue flame sprouted from her pistol, engulfing and incinerating them, white-hot at it's core. orange flames licked the sides of the beam as it cut into armour and flesh, piercing bones and skulls and the elf troupe fell under it. Three female elves with sleek and marvellous curved blades charged towards the Inquisitor, avoiding her pistol's range. They came at her all at once, and were each easily felled by three swift strokes of her blade, which still shone silver, their blood flowing clear of it. Now it was the elf leaders' turn, and she was a spectacle indeed, a naginta that had red horsehair haning from where its' blade meets its' shaft, she put up little fight at all, though she was quite skilled with the weapon, sending a quick flurry of blows towards the Inquisitor, all of which were blockd by either her sleek, leather-like black steel armour, or her blade. Then, with one quick move, the Inquisitor disarmed the elf, sending her sprawling back to the ground.
"No... I have failed you... My kinsmen." She wept in despair as the Inquisitor walked to her, stretching her hand out to her. She took it, and was helped to her feet.
"You do not need to fight a pointless fight, elf. Your race has already had a golden age, now it is time for the age of man." The Inquisitor gave her hand to a soldier, who put both her hands behind her back, slipping a pair of handcuffs around them. "Take her to the Settlement nearby for questioning, you five. I will continue to Arungate." Then the men left, taking the female elf leader with them.

" Wait up! " - a shout was heard coming from behind Carver. He turned around, his hood still pulled over his head and his face wrap covering all but his eyes. " This face warp doesn't do much to hide my identity, eh? " he said through the face wrap with a muffled voice. " I appreciate the offer, but I work better on my ow - " he stopped as he was interrupted by sounds similar to that of thunder, explosions in the distance. He took a moment to think and realized just what it had been. " Musketeers. Damn bastards go around klling whole towns... Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go. " he finished, walking away to look for a place to rest. He wasn't one to stay in towns for long, but it had been a long day for him... " And thanks for the drink! Quar'sho watched the battle play out in front of him from the ground through squinted eyes. What appeared to be a host of elves fought fiercely against the humans but did not take full advantage of their element of surprise and were cut down. The woman with the sword that seemed to be the human leader fought like killing was her purpose. When the battle ended the elven leader was taken hostage and the army moved on.
Perceiving no danger Quar'sho stood up and dusted himself off. The hiding trick had worked, but where was the ork? After a look around Quar'sho spotted him up a tree where he would have been out of sight from the battle, a toothy grin across his face. "If we are going to trust each other, ork, sir, I may as well know your name. My name is Quar'sho."

"Oh? Eheheheh! Who's sez we'z gonna trust each ovva? Wut if I'z just Waitin' 'till dey passed so I'z can kill ye in peace?" Snikrot leapt down from the tree and started for Quar'sho, a menacing look in his eyes and an intimidating appearance to his steps. Quar'sho readied himself for combat as Snikrot approached, snarling. Snikrot, however, came upon him faster than he had thought, and sent a thrust towards his stomach... However, it never reached his stomach, as Snikrot had stopped right before it did, grabbing one of Quar'shos' outstretched hands, shaking it. "Da names Snikrot mate, pleasure t'meet ya." Snikrot grinned, letting his hand loose of the Saurians' and started to pace west.

Quar'sho wiped his hand of whatever indescribable grease was present from Snikrot's impromptu greeting and walked on behind him. I may have to become a lot faster if I'm going to be traveling with this one Quar'sho thought. Quar'sho knew due to the unpredictable nature of this ork that to ask him where he was actually going may just result in a decking. Quar'sho kept one hand on the pommel of his maquahuitl just in case.
To try and keep tension down Quar'sho thought of something to ask the ork; "so who was it that you err... stomped, to get all of those human's tracking you?" Without showing it Quar'sho braced himself to be hit.

(( Hm. My apologies. I'm just kind of lost, or, not lost but there's not much I can do at the moment. Is there anything you'd recommend doing for my character to become more involved? Sorry If it sounds like I'm whining about it, but I really don't see any way my character can be dragged into the story without you approaching him first. She stared at Sneeze - a trap. It was probably true. For all she knew, they were watching her as she spoke. She sat at the inn for a while, thinking up a plan. She decided to go along with it for the least amount of time possible until she could escape. She covered her pointed ears, yawned and jogged towards the innkeeper. This was quite clearly a human-dominated town. An elf wouldn't be able to do much persuasion.
"Anywhere I can get a drink in here?" She asked.
"Yeah, theres a bar in the next room. However..." The innkeeper turned to Sneeze. "That must be kept on a leash."
<Sneeze>
Sneeze looked to Julianna and nodded. He was thirsty too. Oh, so very thirsty. A drink would be very nice.
"Oh! Yesyes, I'm so sorry sir! I must of forgotten to put it on." He piped, and fiddled through is bag for the rope he always had. He slung it around his waist, and handed one end to Julianna.
"Here you go, master."
<Julianna>
Julianna stared, surprised. This little guy seemed so trusting and innocent. He almost seemed to have not a care in the world. Such a nice change to what she was used to. She smiled at him, and grabbed the rope. They walked through the door, and the overwhelming stench of booze and sweat filled her nose. Yelling and cursing of men reached her ears, and the men were shouting dirty words toward her. She glared. This was why she hated people.
She strolled towars the bartender, as confident as can be. She ordered an ale.
"Two please!" Sneeze said afterwords, tossing her a few extra coins.
Julianna shrugged. "Sure, may as well get two..." She murmered. She gave the bartender her money and took a deep swig of the ale. It had been a long day.
Once she finished her drink, she jumped atop a table. If she were going to get some results, she had to seem confident and respectable - as well as seem to have incredibly good social skills. It was sad, because she was the exact opposite. It was going to take some acting.
"Who here," she yelled, straying her eyes across the job. "Would like to go on a daring adventure - one of great bounties and treasures, of stories and battles. There will be many dangers, of course, but strong men like you should be able to handle it - unless you are too scared. There is a battle out there, and we could use some help - to save this town, and to make the humans powerful! The rewards will be great, believe me."
Silence.
The bar was staring directly at her, in disbelief. One man, in the back, piped up.
"Pah," he spat. "A battle? Nobody wants that. All of us will die. We all know of the battles, and we are quite content here. Go find some mercenaries, *****."
Julianna whipped her bow out and shot the wall behind him.
"Don't. Ever. Talk. To me like that. Again." She said, an intense stare in her eyes.
<Sneeze>
Sneeze looked up, slightly fearful.
"Oh my, lady. You sure are intimidating. I'd hate to get in a fight with you... Oh yes..." He muttered, trying to help her recruit men. "Besides, I bet all these guys would end up being in the back lines - they'd be safe and still reap the rewards! Ooh, I get giddy just thinking of the idea!"
((Hug, if you are in the same inn as Julianna and Sneeze, you can join us. But Idk if you are.))
"I'z went an' stomped some 'o dem boys wif dem beeg badges an' bannahs, make dem cities be afraid o' me." Snikrot smiled, looking at his blades as they continued westward, small animals and deers fleeing from them as they paced, startled by him. "Wun day, I'z decided t' kill some o' dem normul 'umie peoples, without dem swords. Da killing wasn't all dat excitin' but it wuz still fun. Den everyone scared, an' so dey try an' stomp me cuz' I make 'em scared. Humies gotz very weird way o' thinkin'." Snikrot pointed out, before cotinuing his walk. Soon afterwards, they came to a town, a settlement filled with life. "Ooh, One o' dem 'umie camps. (In Ork, all settlemetns are camps) Mebbe I'z shud go sneak in dere an' stomp dem out..." Snikrot commented, but was soon interrupted by several men from earlier carrying the elf hostage to town. He and Quar'sho barely had time to hide when they passed.

I better head back. There's no other place to rest.. he thought, angered at the thought of having to rest in such a crowded place. He hated the sounds, the smell, and the feeling that he was amongst bounty hunters waiting for the right moment to attack. He walked back toward the inn, opened the door and marched right in. The first thing he noticed was a woman standing on one of the many tables at the bar. She seemed angered and held her bow at her side. On the other side of the room, a man layed against a wall with fear in his eyes. His mouth remained open as he stared at the elven woman, frightened, perhaps in shock. Upon closer inspection, Carver noticed an arrow stuck inbetween a crack on the wall, right beside the man. It didn't take him long to understand the situation. But as always, he didn't get involved, he didn't take any sides, he simply sat down by the bar and watched the situation unfold.
