@Feo, I don't see that you asked for a recap. Should've. Kindly shut your hole. If the roleplay's run "so bad" that you can't read 2 and a half pages, you're not a roleplayer. Leave if you're going to keep whining, I'm not updating the main thread everytime something happens. *
(( Any important information should be added to the OP. You've said in other RP's that you get annoyed with the lack of people being on when you are. If you have that spare time, it shouldn't be hard for you to update your RP's info, like a good mod should. If you're honestly too lazy to do something like that, you shouldn't be starting RP's, then. And, I wrote out my post after I was accepted on page two, when you said me starting outside was okay if I was picked up. I wrote it in MS word, and posted it now since i just got home today. The posts up to then were you getting to know other characters. Nothing about weapons being illegal to have. You say they're smuggling weapons, but you have never said that it is illegal to have weapons within the area. And, I'll restate again that she is a soldier, brought in by other soldiers. Soldiers don't get disarmed at places they are meant to be protecting. You knew my character was a soldier, and you had no complaints about it, so, once again, don't get mad over something you didn't say.
Also, OP's SHOULD be updated with important things. You not allowing guns into the place is a VERY IMPORTANT THING, and as such, should be added to the OP. If you are going to be an irresponsible mod, you can't get pissed at the people in your RP for not knowing things.
Another thing. No. Not everybody will have time to read all the posts up to the point the RP is at. If they are posting at a time when nobody else is on, and when none of the posts before theirs show any signs of a major event, it is likely that people won't read. It is only important to read the posts if you are already involved in the RP, and need to be caught up to what is happening in the RP.
I'm not saying to update the thread when something happens, I'm saying to be a responsible mod and post all the rules and important info people need to know. If you are going to create an RP, you should be at least a little bit responsible, don't you think?
And, don't call people a bad roleplayer for not reading stuff, when you obviously can't read half a single line of text. "If guard a sees soldier A bring in soldier B, it is likely that guard A will allow soldier B into the area, since soldier A, who is trusted, brought soldier B." Pretty hard to miss, considering I made it stand out among the other text.
Now, time to summarize this all up, so you can stop complaining.
1. Mira, a soldier, was brought in by other soldiers.
2. Soldiers would allow another soldier to have a gun.
3. You, knowing the things above, allowed this.
4. Mod's should be responsible and post all rules in their OP.
5. You can't expect everyone to know something they assume people should know.
6. Nowhere in the OP or title does it state this is a serious RP. Casual RP's don't require intense reading, hence the term "casual."
7. Not everyone has lots of time on the computer. If you do, that's fine, but don't expect us all to.
8. Finally- Just drop it. I have respect for you, considering how well you RP for somebody your age. Just accept that you made a mistake in not posting what seems to be a rule into the OP. I'm not attacking you, but, you can't get mad at people when you don't post a rule, then tell somebody they broke a rule.
Hopefully you can understand all this, and just get to the RP.))
** Hot damn, **** this. I'm past the point of arguing. Whatever, you're already in anyway. I can't get to you until Lyoko posts though, dumb cracker is barely on. I'm not editing the main post, but it was pretty clear weapons are illegal. It says in the intro that the Overwatch are corrupt, anyway. Oh well. Oh, and pretty much every roleplay is serious on these forums. This is supposed to be apocalyptic. You won't find people laughing a lot. Death is common around these parts. *
John laughed, hearing the last thing the man said. " We're going to have problems. " he said, continuing to work on his hunting rifle. He finished up, cleaning the rifle the best he could. He wanted to avoid it jamming, which was happening often. He loaded the magazine, and readied the weapon, making sure the safety was on. The weapon rested by his side, he never let go of it, never loosening his grip.
After a brief moment of silence, John decided he would atleast try to be friendly. " Aleksendr. Russian, correct? What's your story? "
"I don't really have much of one. I disagreed with communist views, and I went into hiding. After that died down, I lived a normal life, and moved to America when the stereotypes weren't as bad. And now," He shrugged. "My wife and daughter is dead, and I'm going to get revenge."
It was odd for him to talk like a normal person, but when it was a serious topic, he didn't seem as insane.

Ian smiled. "Alright. Get back to the compound. I'll be there soon. I've got business to take care of." Handing the man a handheld GPS, a slight blink of a light flashed on and off. It was the location of the facility. Walking off, he was going to his favorable weapon's dealer's bazaar. Within three minutes of walking, it was apparent he was being followed. Two patrols were on either side of him, all Overwatch. They carried M249's and the such, massive weapons. Glancing behind him casually, acting as if he were scratching his neck, two more brought up his rear. It was like a thunderbolt, the storm of bullets. Beater smiled, his casual appearance almost child-like. His mind went into slow motion, his pistol aimed to the right, his Xira assault rifle to the left. Pressing both triggers over and over until they clicked empty, no one was left. Even the people behind him had perished in his rain of fire. Beater simply reloaded both of his guns, putting them into their holsters. People shrieked and ran as he continued walking. Of course, the hollow sound of choppers sounded. Following was the whirl of it's guns spinning. Like a flash, Ian simply tackled into a wall, crashing through. Inside was a family of four eating dinner. Chaos broke loose at that moment as the ceiling collapsed, bullets pouring in onto the family. Their dieing screams of pain brought tears to Ian's eyes. It was worth the sacrifice, as Ian would go on to save hundreds of lives in the long run. Dashing through the hallways, he forced himself through another wall at the end of the corridor. He knew the general direction of his headquarters, and if he could reach it his men would take down the chopper easily. It still fired upon him, a bullet carving through his shoulder. It was a graze, but it still made him chew his tongue. Blood now mixed with adrenaline in the air, citizens screaming and running in his wake. Pulling his gun, he slid under a shop's stall. Aiming upwards, a single shot forced it's way into the gunner's chest. It was only several seconds before the corpse hit Ian's stall. A simple bash into the man's forehead decided he wouldn't be getting up. Crouching through the stall's opening, it was yet another mad dash as a new gunner replaced him. They were smart, and used one of their drop squad members as a gunner. Ian was meters away from his compound as he threw the door open. "All hands on deck! Chopper at the courtyard, dropping in. I need a sniper on the gunner, now!" Whipping open a weapon's cabinet full of basic guns, he simply left it open in the main chamber. Dashing through the door, he didn't bother to look back to see if anyone was coming. He could see through their windows that faced the courtyard he was in. Looking up, he unslung his weapon. Switching it to burst fire, he opened fire.
(( One thing that bothers be about that post; He shot his assault rilfe and his pistol at the same time, and managed to kill the targets? ********. Not only would the recoil mess him up big time, but even if he fired in bursts, he wouldn't be able to see where he's shooting unless he's a professional crosseye. But I'll go with it.. ))
(( Will edit this post with RP later since I just woke up. Maybe I'll make a new post if someone has already posted after this. ))
** With three people within three feet from eachother, a burst of fire would kill them all even with recoil. Don't argue, HE'S A BADASS. GAWD. Besides, I'm sure every one of you will powergame the same amount sometime throughout the roleplay. *
John took a sip from his water canteen as he listened to what the man had to say. Some might think it's disrespectful, especially in a world where even clean water is scarce, but he needed it. His mouth was dry from all the running under the hot sun. Intantly feeling much better after taking the sip. " Well, It's a preasure to meet you, sir. " he said, closing the canteen's lid and putting it aside to continue working on his rilfe. It seemed like he always had something to do with it. Maybe he didn't, but he loved that rifle so much he never let go of it, he was always cleaning it and making sure everything was okay.
Soon, the silence was broken and replaced by the unmistakeable sound of helicopters buzzing by with their miniguns spinning, and firing. Thuds as they hit the dirt, and high pitched ringing and banging as they hit the metal and concrete of the structure they were in. " Sounds like we have company. " John said, slowly and camly standing up. That's when the man ran inside, forcing the doors open, he ordered everyone to their stations. " Already on it. " John said, making his way up stairs to get a better vantage point.
Kain took the small GPS device, examining the location on it. It was about two mile off, judging from the area ratio. Intent on the device, he didn't notice the slight tremors in the ground. Satisfied with his destination, he slipped the device into his coat pocket. He walked a little down the way, finding a Humvee suitable for the wasted city's terrain. Breaking the simple plastic beneath the wheel, he grabbed the suited wires and jump-started the vehicle, driving toward the location on the GPS.
John quickly made his way up the stairs leading to the roof of the building. The outer walls soaked in the sound of gunfire, and for a few seconds, there was silence. The sound became louder as he neared the door, and rocketed once he opened it. It was as if the miniguns were being fired right beside him.
Immidiately, he ran for cover, sliding behind a small wall. He crouched, almost going into prone position, and aimed his rifle through an opening on the wall. The helicopter hovered infront of the building he was on, raining hell down into the lower levels. The shots being fired from it's minigun hit to the left of where the gunner was aiming. This helped John determine wind direction and speed.
He took a moment to make quick adjustments, like aligning the scope. Once the rilfe was ready, he aimed it to the left and above the gunner to make up for wind and bullet drop. He then slowed down his breathing, nearly stopping completely, and fired. The bullet traveled through the air and into the gunner's chest, killing him.
The sound of heavy gunfire ceased, and the minigun's spin slowly came to a stop. The attack on the compound wasn't over, but the helicopter was forced to move and stop firing, atleast for a minute. This gave the defenders an opportunity to fight back now that they didn't have to worry about being torn apart by the helicopter.
John retreated back into the building, and announced that he had taken out the gunner, and that it was much safer now, atleast until the helicopter came back around.
[Guess who's joining in on this one?...not this guy.]
[LOLJK. Here goes.]
Name: Stasik Mihailov
Age: 34
Personality: Quiet, determined to his work. Holds his own in a fight.
Skills: Able to understand the mechanism of nearly every weapon known to man, and a few from the aliens.
Bio: Stasik was born to a poor Russian family that had immigrated to America in 1982. While he was growing up, his father would tell him stories of when he was in Russia's army. He would sometimes bring out his old service AK-47 for young Stasik to play with. When Stasik was in his teens, he and his father ran a gun shop in America, buying and selling guns of all sorts, and repairing and cleaning guns left at the store. Stasik tried to join the military, but because of his immigrant status, he was not able to join. Stasik joined law enforcement in Chicago, and trained well enough to be a part of the SWAT team. This was all well and good, but when 2012 came, and everything went to hell, Stasik was sent to Serenity. He is now waiting for a chance to do some shooting.
Appearance: Stasik is around 6' 2", and 200 lbs of (mostly) muscle. His square face is marred by many scars from work accidents and his tour in the SWAT. He has short-cropped light blonde hair and blue eyes, looking more like a American posterboy than a full-blooded Russian. His right arm is covered in a myriad of tattoos, from his shoulder to the back of his hand. He mostly wears a light T-shirt, usually gray or white, military BDU pants, and black combat boots, worn through many engagements.
** Accepted. I suppose you could jump in at any time. Best chance would probably be the fact you're itching to shoot your gun, so you entered our compound to help? *
Ian slid into cover. Bullets whizzed by his head as his two companions joined the defense, firing blindly over the destroyed statue they cowered behind. Beater gasped as a man jumped his cover, pushing his stock into Ian's chest. Smiling at the man's weak spot, Ian grabbed the magazine from his gun, smashing it into his face. Taking the gun, he held it like a baseball bat. Cracking it directly into his exposed face, Ian loaded his gun before emptying it into the growing crowd of attackers. A few dropped, but twice the number resumed it's place. Bullets from the helicopter troubled Ian, but he just clenched his teeth and set it off for later. Throwing the empty gun behind him, he drew his own from the ground. Two bullets into a woman's neck and she dropped, her sprint stopped. She faceplanted directly into another person, causing him to fall. Taking advantage of this, Ian shot the man. John, the man he had recruited, ran by. Dropping his empty magazine, Beater snatched another from inside his belt's tight clasp over his pants. A grenade tumbled to his feet, leading Ian through a jumble of events he'll never forget. As it exploded, he flew. He wasn't directly hit by it, as it was several feet away and under the rubble. As he flew through the air, he collapsed into an advancing attacker. He then shot wildly into the air as Ian tackled through him. Even though Beater was confused and hurting, he still shoved his hand into the man's face several times. His knuckles cracked, and blood flew. The man fell silent as Ian then grasped his neck and held. Although he was confident over his recent win... Ian was stuck in the middle of the battlefield, with no cover, no weapon, and no help. All he could do was drop to the ground before bullets whizzed through his body. He positioned the dead man's body in front of him, offering a bit of cover.
A 40mm High-Explosive grenade flew slowly from behind an old shack. Its arcing trajectory was slow enough for the helicopter pilot to see his doom. He turned to his gunner, and yelled, "BRACE FOR IMPACT!" The HE round smashed through the pilot's glass windshield, and detonated in the unfortunate man's chest. The helicopter began it's death spin, rotating counter-clockwise and descending until it crashed with a loud CRUNCH. A shadowed man sprinted out of cover, firing his weapon into the remaining Overwatch units.
[EDIT: AND I JUST REALIZED YOU ALREADY HAVE A DESERT EAGLE, ABSOLETE. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuck. Should I change that?]
The second Mira entered the gates, the guards were all over her, questioning her, checking her weapons, and generally getting information from her. Once they verified she was from the military, they gave her clearance, issued her a pass-card (Figure they would be used to get into and out of the military's weapon cashes, hangers, and other such places. Correct me if it would be something else, and I'll fix it.)) and sent her to replenish ammo for her guns. As she was stocking up, somebody came up to her, telling her she was needed, ASAP. She followed him through the streets, along with another soldier. They got to a building that had been pretty much destroyed, and had a family sitting inside, dead. Mira asked the man what happened, and he simply said. "We shot them." Mira, seeing this, got extremely angry, but held it in for now. She wasn't sure how things worked here, but one thing was certain. She definitely didn't like it. As they got closer, the sounds of gunfire were heard, but soon stopped. The man who had picked Mira up cursed, as a helicopter crashed in front of them, right into a building. "They got our chopper! Damn rebels! Make sure to kill them, and anyone who gets in the way, you two!" The man shouted to Mira and the other soldier, who agreed with him. Mira couldn't take it. She pulled out her pistols, and aimed them at the backs of the two men's heads. She closed her eyes, softly said "sorry" and pulled the triggers, right as a part of the helicopter exploded, concealing the noise from her shots. When she opened her eyes, her arms had blood on them, and the two men laid in the road, with holes in their heads. Mira ran across the street from the building, and ducked into an alley, right next to the ruined chopper, avoiding somebody who began firing in her direction.
(( I figure Mira could be your inside help. Has access to military weapons, and can get them to you. *of course, you can make her get caught whenever. xD* I dunno. Oh... and hopefully one of you saw her shoot the other two, or she'll just look like another enemy! xD))
** Perfectly fine. Nice use of Mira. And it's fine, Sting. I honestly don't care. I could change it to a P228 or something? Or we could both have one. I don't care. *
Ian stared in wonder as a new figure joined the fight, and destroyed half their troops with one well-placed explosive shot. Noticing he could take care of the few remaining people not crushed by the fallen helicopter, Ian lazily fired a few bullets, killing two men easily. "You two. Outside, make sure none get in our front door." They rushed off, collapsing the door inside that had been shot so much. It fell from it's hinges, but they still ran through the front door. As they did so, about one third of a mile down the road a woman peered through a crater in the wall that lead to the battlefield inside. They raised their guns. "Come out. No risky business." The pair clicked off their safety.
(( Alright, and... Thought it would be. xD ))
Mira stared at the approaching men. '****...' She thought to herself, walking out, holding her pistols behind her head. "Calm down, I don't mean any trouble." She said in a relaxed tone. She then darted her eyes to the two soldiers she had killed, then back to the people holding her at gunpoint. "You know... They have fully loaded weapons. They died before they were able to fire..." She kept a cautious eye on the two, ready to shoot should they show any signs of hostility. 'I have no idea who I can trust in this place...' She thought, and sighed.
