Scouur - Elgar
The beast slumped over, sending Elgar and the unconscious kobold tumbling. Between the burns, gashes and a few arrows from guards that had been not too far away to not hear the commotion, the creature was down. Elgar hobbled over to the burning mess that was fighting the hogbeast moments prior, now it was burning at a steady rate, though Elgar was unsure if this was normal or not. The creature radiated the warm aura of a being from the plane of fire, this suggested that it was some sort of fire elemental or perhaps even a fire-touched human. Elgar approached but was unable to get too close for the flames were certainly real.
Elgar switched his attention to the paladin whom had called out just before, he was fending off what looked to be the last of the kobolds, Elgar doubted he would be able to offer any assistance. "I... I did as much as I could." With that, Elgar collapsed from his wounds, he had managed to stop most of the bleeding but his blood loss was already past less than healthy.
The young woman smiled as the elf from the tavern approached. The archer was quite skilled, and together with the help of the foxman, they were able to take out the barbarian. In the distance, the inn was still ablaze, people rushing to try to contain the inferno. The elf walked over to where Elena was sitting, and close to where the foxman was standing. She thanked the two for their assistance, which in turn, caused the foxman to thank her as well.
"Ah. It was nothing." Elena said. "I was glad to be of assistance."
Elena put away her comb after she deemed that her hair was in good enough condition. The foxman introduced himself as Pearce Allan, and it would seem that the elf would soon do the same. If Elena got this far with them, she might as well get to know them, so she spoke next. The young woman rose from her seat on the bench and curtsied.
"Elena Cataegis. Pleased to meet you." she said politely, before taking her seat on the bench again.

Scouur - Etorias Ahmes
The two kobold rapidly taking turns to attack the young paladin delaying their possible assistance to its commander atop hog beast. The accurately fend off the continuous attacks blow after blow from the lizard creatures however he knew all too well that his defense would not last long if the attacks keep its steady pace. Etorias carefully analyze any possible counter attack against duo while keeping is guard up against incoming attack, their pattern of their attack are easily predictable which is the very reason to how Etorias manage to block their attack thus far, however the problem did not lies on their attack pattern but rather their repetition speed, able to continuously deliver their blow. A bright idea did reach Etorias eventually, there are risks but it is the only option available. Etorias swing his sword forward exchanging a couple hits ending with a sword lock between the two. The second kobold did let this opportunity slip by, it dash forward aiming to strike the unguarded paladin. Etorias immediately play his trap, he let out the light energy stored within his armor in an instant creating a bright flash of light blinding both targets. Etorias use the brief moment of panic from the kobolds and release himself from the sword lock, leap forward to deal the finishing blow.
Etorias look back at the hog beast situation only to see that it was already over as well, he slowly Sheath his sword and to check on the others who had joined the battle. Other than the guards gathering to the scene are another two adventurers, one of them seems to be some sort a fire elemental being and the other is a young man from before who was battling one of the kobold on the beast. With a closer inspection, it seems like the young man is wounded while the the fire elemental stay lying down unconscious. Etorias walk up to one of the guards in the scene and speak "Those two over there are injured from the fight with these kobolds, they need medical attention now", he then lead the guards along with help towards the two adventurers.
The sorceress was the first to respond to Pearce's introduction. Her name was Elena Cataegis. She appeared polite, even curtsying before saying her name. She also appeared to be a powerful mage, able to shoot lightning from her fingertips. Pearce too practiced the arcane arts, however he used his magic to cast a hex on his opponent to weaken them. There were many different branches of magic, many more than Pearce could ever hope to learn. However, that didn't stop him from trying to learn about the various branches. Perhaps Elena used elemental magic. After a moment Pearce decided to ask.
"Your spells were vital to our victory" Pearce began, "What kind of magic do you use?"
Pearce was an apprentice warlock and his magic was natural in origin. He had learnt a spell to reduce the strength of an enemy. While this didn't do any direct damage to his opponent, it could allow him to attack using his dagger. Some of the other apprentices of his order knew different spells, some could shoot fire from their hand, others could summon spirits and monsters, he even knew one that could vanish from one place and reappear instantly in another. He knew that he would learn new spells over time, that was the entire reason for his journey: to learn new forms of magic and to complete his apprenticeship. So far it had lead him to a fight with a barbarian, who was slowly recovering from the battle, and to a tavern which had been lit on fire.
And what of the elf? Did she practice magic too? Pearce hadn't seen her cast any spells during the fight but that did not necessarily mean that she didn't. She could have cast a spell without Pearce noticing, or maybe she knew a spell but simply didn't cast it. Either way the elf had proven her to be a great archer and a valuable ally. Pearce didn't want his allies to remain strangers, he already knew the sorceress's name but he didn't know much about them.
"And your archery skills are admirable, how long have you been practicing?" he asked the elf.
Pearce looked over to the burning tavern, whose flames were still reaching into the sky along with a column of smoke. He had hoped to stay there for a night, but he couldn't do so now. He felt sorry for the barman, this was his business that was going up in smoke. Although he had demanded payment from Pearce, Elena and the elf whilst standing in a burning building. The barman was standing near the barbarian, talking to the guards. Perhaps he was going to attempt to receive compensation for the damages from the barbarian when he awoke.
When Elena had finished her introductions, she stared into the distance. The tavern was still on fire, though less people were around it now. People fought the inferno with buckets of water while others treated the few who were wounded. Many others were simply standing idle, much like what she was doing now. A question from the foxman pulled her away from her reverie.
"Your spells were vital to our victory" Pearce began, "What kind of magic do you use?"
That was an interesting enough question. The magic she used was primal and elemental in nature, further bolstered by the elemental spirit that resides in her body. While she did not know as much as a wizard, she was still quite talented in her studies as a sorceress. An apt title, as she drew the arcane energies from her blood and the spirit. Of course, her connection to the elemental of storms meant that her affinity with lightning and wind were amplified. She couldn't tell them this though. It would be rude to speak more than what was asked, after all.
"I mostly use Evocation spells of lightning, thunder, and wind. I presume you're a spellcaster as well, then?" Elena questioned.

Elgar awoke in a dark hut several hours later, his limbs were heavily wrapped and there was some sort of cold but dry salve with no colour but a heavy mint aroma plastered across most of his body. He sat upright and looked around, this room was indeed not a hut, but a sandstone building with woven branch dividers making it into a general infirmary, nothing special like ones Elgar had seen in cities back home, but a place free from sand where wounds could be healed. Where is my flame friend? Elgar could see something glowing behind one of the dividers, peeking in he saw his elemental friend, whom was glowing with a bright red flare. Bellows had been commandeered from some sort of medical apparatus to facilitate thier abnormal patient, the remnants of the device were hastily scattered around. Nodding with the satisfaction that the flame elemental would be fine, Elgar left the premise with surprisingly no intervention, the nurses and doctors had been surprisingly absent.
Soon the reasoning became apparent. The infirmary clinic had been down a single side road from the main central area, reaching said area Elgar could see that there were many injured coming from somewhere north of the city, probably the gate. After asking around he discovered that these people were from a place up north called Blarkensomthing, apparently some sort of creature had attacked their village with fire, unfortunately the information Elgar recieved wildly varied, everything from Dragons to forge giants.
To his dismay, it seemed like warnings were being passed out telling people not to head north for several more days, this unfortunately conflicted with Elgar's plans and unsurprisingly he disobeyed the advice.
Elena's magic was lightning based, as Pearce suspected. But her magic was not only based on lightning, but thunder and wind too. Those magics combined could practically make a storm. It was an impressive array of arcane abilities. Elena then asked if Pearce was a spellcaster too. Pearce was a spellcaster, a warlock to be precise. While he couldn't create lightning, his spells and hexes did aid him in battle.
"Yes, I am a spellcaster too" Pearce replied, "I'm a warlock, or an apprentice one at least. I cast hexes and charms and the like."
Pearce's attention was then taken away from the current conversation to the blazing tavern. People had stopped throwing buckets of water at the flames and were now standing a good distance away from the tavern. Oddly enough they appeared to be watching someone or something approach. Pearce tried to look at whatever was attracting the attention of the crowd. Through the people and the smoke he could see an indistinct figure in a vivid blue robe.
"I wonder what is happening over there" Pearce mumbled, pointing towards the figure.
The robed mage waved their arms in the air, forming a glowing orb that was as wide as their slim shoulders. This orb was such a dazzling shade of blue that it made their robe look dull. The mage continued their spell, propelling the sphere of arcane energy to the building. The orb burst into a shower of minute, glittering particles on contact with the charred walls of the tavern, extinguishing the flames in an area around the site. The mage repeated the process two or three times. When the mage finished their work any signs of flame had vanished, leaving nothing but charred timber, ash and charcoal.
"Ah, the fire is finally out" Pearce said.
Some time passed before the mage's magic made it possible to approach the rubble sooner than if it had burned out on its own. The barman was busy digging through the remains of his business, despite the objections of a nearby guard who was trying to convince the man that it was too dangerous. Shortly afterwards the barman found something, he held up an intact bottle of wine triumphantly. The remaining guards had been talking to the patrons of tavern, until a new guard approached.
This guard was young, and clearly hadn't been a guard for very long. He was running towards the scene, yelling about something happening at the eastern gate. Pearce tried to listen to what the guard was shouting about. He mentioned something about refugees and a disaster. Most of the other guards and a few clerics began moving quickly in the direction where the messenger came from. Pearce took a few steps towards where the guards before stopping.
"Sounds like something is happening at the eastern gate" Pearce said.
"My hearing is fairly sharp" Pearce said as modestly as he could, "And I agree that we should help the guards. Let's go"
It had been Caerwyn, the elf, who had suggested that they help out the guards. Pearce agreed that they should try to help the guards, Caerwyn suggested that it might convince the guards not to arrest them for the tavern fire although it was not really their fault as the blaze had been an accident. Either way helping the refugees that the guards were talking seemed like the right thing to do.
As the guards began to leave, save for a few who were finishing up with the tavern fire, Pearce began to follow. The guards noticed but didn't seem opposed to him coming to help, in fact a few other people appeared to be coming too. Perhaps they were short on help or they didn't have time to tell the people to go home. Whatever the reason, Pearce was sure that they would appreciate a little help.
The path to the eastern gate was fairly straightforward once they reached the main road, before that was another matter entirely. The lane and alleys there were a little winding and gave Pearce an appreciation for how hard it must have been for the guards to memorise it. Apparently the road was quite commonly used by merchants as there were a few milling about, watching the guards go by followed by Pearce and any others that decided to come with them. There was a sense of urgency as they moved, it made Pearce worry.
The area around the eastern gate was spacious, with a few native trees planted in spots where there were no cobblestones. The buildings around the area were well maintained, the whole scene gave the idea that the place was trying to make a good impression. However Pearce didn't have time to admire the scenery, as there was a more important matter. Filling about half of the area near the gate were people, the refugees. Some were injured, most were dusty with ash clinging to them and those who were unlucky were both. There were plenty of guards about, along with clerics and concerned citizens.
"What happened to them?" Pearce asked one of the clerics.
"There was some sort of attack on their village, Blarkenvurk I think it was" the cleric replied, "I have wounded to attend to, if you want to help then come with me"
The cleric scurried off to a man with an injured arm and Pearce followed. A few of the citizens were assisting either the clerics and nurses with the wounded or helping the guards directing the refugees and gathering information on what happened. The cleric instructed Pearce to hold the man's arm still while she began wrapping it in bandages.
"What attacked your village?" Pearce asked the man.
"There was fire everywhere, some sort of beast began a rampage. I was too busy trying to get my family out of there, I'm not sure what it was" the man said, clearly distressed.
Hiraku finally woke up he healed all his wounds took awhile but it finished he opened his eyes and once again we heard the screeching noise he was still dazed from the injury he stood up but after a few steps he stumbles to a wall Hiraku wonders where are his other friends that fought with him. he goes outside wondering where he is. when he got out he saw his friend he taps him on the shoulder and says something in flameling the subtitles say "where are we and what's happening"
Silver watched from the roof, curious, as the Elf and the fox-thing-man-something-with-ears raced away from the burned-out building and after the guards. Something about the Elf was intriguing to him, so he followed, silent and swift, over the tile rooftops and stone chimneys.
When he caught up to them again, they were wandering around and talking to the people of a rather burned out section of a village, near one of the city gates. The entire place reminded Silver of the pub, that was now in ashes, and he couldn't help but wonder what exactly had caused it. Of course, the only way to find out would be to get closer.
He slid forward, and reached up into his cloak, gripping the dark orb that hung around his neck. There was enough smoke left over that he wouldn't need the darkness magic right now, but it still comforted him, knowing that he had it. Creeping around the burned-out buildings, using the ash and smoke as cover for his dark cloak, he worked his way closer to the Elf and the fox-man, until he was standing only a few meters away. He caught some words at the tail-end of a sentence, talking about "beasts", and maybe some sort of a dragon?

The cleric finished wrapping the man's arm, the entirety of the man's forearm was now covered in bandages applied with the care of a seasoned cleric. Pearce looked around, there were so many people here. What could have caused them to evacuate? All the information he got was that there was a fire in the village and some sort of beast had attacked. It must have been terrifying for them.
"All done" the cleric said in a calm voice, "Try not to move it too much before it heals."
The man winced in pain as he moved toward a group of other refugees. The cleric took out another roll of bandages as a woman approached with a burnt right hand. The cleric once again asked Pearce to assist by keeping the woman's hand steady as it was wrapped. Pearce decided to ask the woman about the attack.
"Do you know what happened?" he asked.
The woman shuddered before speaking, "It was horrible" she said, "I was terrified, there was only fire, ash and destruction. I had to run as fast as I could... It was terrifying."
Pearce could tell that she had been through a lot, and that he should probably not keep asking questions. The cleric finished wrapping her hand quickly before the patient left. Another, older cleric with a gold edged robe appeared and talked to the one that Pearce was helping. She then left to assist the older cleric after giving a passing thank-you to Pearce as she left.
Without a cleric to assist, Pearce decided to talk to Caerwyn and find out what she had discovered about the tragedy that had befallen the refugees. He walked over to her, passing by a man with a bandana around his neck who was standing a few minutes to them.
"What could have possibly happened?" He asked himself.
He arrived where Caerwyn was just as she and a group of refugees parted. Perhaps she had been asking the refugees about what had happened too. It was terrible what happened to them. Maybe Caerwyn had gathered more information.
"Caerwyn?" Pearce said, "Have you found out anything about what happened? All I've heard is that some sort of creature attacked their village and that there was a lot of fire."
Pearce wondered about what happened. He hadn't received any details, so what exactly happened was a mystery. He even momentarily considered travelling to the refugee's village, Blarkenvurk he thought it was, and seeing what happened for himself.
The tap on his shoulder and the familiar voice from the previous battle stopped Elgar in his tracks, the flameling was up and wandering aroud amongst the chaos of victims that had entered from the north "where are we and what's happening" Elgar turned to the person and spoke. "We were in an infirmary, I think something a lot worse is happening to the north of this city, a large creature attacking with fire, maybe it's got to do with the fire plane or something? In which case maybe you can speak to it?"
Before a response could be issued, Elgar and his friend were interrupted by militant shouting.
"Ouright ye scabs, double file, we're headin' norf to fight this problem." *step* *step* *step*...
Elgar turned to see what must be a large portion of the city's guard reserves marching and grouping in open topped wagons drawn by sturdy black horses. "Hey, quick, now's our chance." Elgar ran towards the wagons, taking a hooded cloak off of a wooden rack outside a currently empty store. I'll have to pay them back later. Elgar jumped into a wagon next to some guards who looked too nervous to confront anyone willing to tag along to their deaths.

Scouur - Etorias Ahmes
Etorias step aside as medical attendant reach the two wounded adventurers, "Seems like it’s all good here" he softly speak to himself. The knight readjusts his cloak covering most of his armor once more before continuing on his road. He observes the people along the path noting that there isn't that much damage done to the street and its people during the raid. Before he could set his mind at ease another problem tackle the young knight. Large groups of civilian can be seen entering the city from the north gate looks like they're fleeing from something. Etorias rush to the north gate curious of what had happened, he walk up to one of the civilian that passed through the gate asking him about the situation. The man stated that their village was attack by an abomination, a serpent or dragon of some sort that is capable of breathing fire element. Without any hesitation seems like Etorias has finally found his next destination.
He squeezes himself out of the crowded north gate and walk up to the guards preparing their men to the battlefield. He speaks to the person in charge stated that he could be of some help in their battle “I am a knight from the order of the Shining Sun, serving under Velor, the God of Sun, Light, Strength and Healing. I would like to assist you in this battle in the north, I am certain that my strength can be of some used to you, let me help”. The chief guardsman look at the young knight observing him “Order of the Shining Sun?.. never heard of it, but it seems clear that we would need any men available for battle” The chief grab a pair of horses one for himself and the young knight “The wagon is fully loaded, you will have to take your own ride instead, since you’re a knight, you know how to ride a horse right?”. Etorias nodded to the question “Alright good, we should head there right away” The chief and Etorias mounted their horse and head for the north.
It appeared that Caerwyn had received the same vague descriptions of the creature that attacked the village. Pearce had wished that they could find more information, but it appeared that they had learnt all that they were going to learn. One thing they did know was that fire and destruction had accompanied the beast and that fact alone told him that it was dangerous.
Pearce had given passing thought to going to Blarkenvurk and seeing what had happened for himself. Those thoughts had returned when Caerwyn said that she considered it her duty to help in hunting the beast that had caused the destruction. Pearce considered the invitation to join Caerwyn carefully. Of course he knew that trying to fight the beast would be dangerous, but he wouldn't be alone. His fox-like ears twitched as he thought until he came to a conclusion.
"Yes" he said, "Let's stop that beast before it causes any more misery."
A fight with a beast capable of ruining a town would be a difficult one indeed. Probably even more difficult that the fight with the barbarian. But Caerwyn did say that she was a hunter from the Illoran Forests, where she hunted out of survival. Pearce had no doubts that Caerwyn was an accomplished archer, he just hoped that his spells would be of use in the future fight.
Caerwyn had said that they would share the beast's carcass, however Pearce didn't know what he would do with his share. Perhaps a tusk or claw of the beast could be used as an alchemical catalyst or a potion ingredient. That was assuming that the beast had tusks or claws. He would have to consult his mentors about that.
There was also the issue of preparation. While Pearce had tried to prepare for his visit to Gate and whatever towns he found beyond it, he had not prepared for a campaign against an unknown beast who was dangerous enough to make a village flee. Pearce at least wanted to get some rations for their journey to Blarkenvurk.
"Perhaps we should prepare for the journey first" Pearce said.
Silver felt his eyes grow wide as he heard them planning, planning to kill the beast that took down this entire village. Did they really think... think that they could take down a monster that powerful?
Instinctively, he glanced down at his own weapons: The hardwood staff he held close to his body, and the bow slung across his back. He didn't even have many proper arrows, most of them consisting of pointy sticks topped with a sleeping mixture and fetched with simple feathers.
But he did have a few more solid arrows, topped with sharpened steel, that he was fairly confident he could sink into vital spots on a creature, if he had too-
He shook himself a little, his cloak ruffling with the smoke and ashes around him. What was he thinking? Those two were the ones planning on going out on that dangerous mission, not him.
But... what if they needed help? The fox-man was interesting, he had to admit, and for some reason the elf intrigued him. Another archer, someone who understood what he did... plus, her sense of duty was inspiring. And, well, maybe she was rather pretty.
Silver made up his mind then. His goal was to explore, correct? What better way to do that than by going and seeing what rare creatures were out there? It was sure to be an adventure, with those two leading, even if they didn't know it.
And they wouldn't know it. At least not at first. He would follow, silently, to make sure they really were who they said they were, and they would be doing what they planned. He didn't want to be mixing with a bad crowd, after all.

Hiraku nodded to the humans idea this day keeps getting better and better when he got on to the wagon he feels something strange he looks at his hands parts of it are glowing with heat he soon forgets about it and hears a loud voice "Get ready were movin' out" and a large smack was heard wagon started moving at a slow pace lots of people want joined there's even people on top of the wagon Hiraku looks around sees people vomiting or regretting their decisions but theirs a few who want to protect their families living up north a few hours past the man who shouted said "Get ready you worms where getting near" the excitement fills Hiraku he is ready to face anything
The week's journey was made long and arduous by the uncertainty the guardsmen would face when they arrived. Many got sick and a few gave up part of the way in due to fear. What was supposed to only take five days instead took seven. Arriving at what was once a prosperous inland city Blarkenvürk, was now a set of charred city walls with columns of what looked to be ash and smoke pillaring towards the cloudy sky. As the troup approached the large western gate which was unguarded and unclosed, they could see what remained.
Blarkenvürk was no longer a city, it was a charred crater of steep black incline. At its center stood a black snake-like creature shooting a searing beam from its forehead crystal. The creature was propped up in a coil, dead focused on its task of 'drilling'. around it nothing of a city remained. The crater was almost as deep as the city walls had originally been tall, this creature had been hard at work since the initial onslaught apparently, its beam did not disturb the soil, instead it disintigrated it, leaving nothing but a fine black smoke.
An apparent hush had fallen over the guardsmen who stood there staring in silence. The leader from Scouur gave a silent signal for crossbows to be readied, he only hoped that those in the capital (Swoorl) cared enough to lend some support and that they would arrive soon.
Blarkenvürk - Elgar
Elgar's cart was third in line and when he caught a glimpse of the creature he instantly felt a sickness brew in the pit of his stomach. The creature was not from the fire plane at all, but instead some sort of magic-weilding dragon beast or something. He would have said something to his friend Hikaru, but even if he could muster words, it probably would not have done any good.
Pearce and Caerwyn went their separate ways, with Pearce heading into the city. That night he stayed in a small inn. It was in a state of minor disrepair, but it was cheap. The night only cost him a couple silver pieces, plus a few copper pieces for breakfast. He knew he shouldn't spend very much money on accommodation as he needed to buy supplies for the upcoming adventure to Blarkenvurk.
Pearce left the inn whilst it was still fairly early, he finished a fairly bland meal of bread and stew and walked out into the cool morning air. He managed to find his way to a marketplace, only taking a wrong turn two or three times. Several of the merchants were still setting up, but a few were already selling their wares to the morning shoppers.
Pearce had an idea of what he needed for the journey. He approached a merchant's stall which featured a few loaves of bread which the merchant assured him would last long enough for his journey. After a bit of haggling, the merchant finally agreed to part with two loaves of bread for four copper pieces. But bread was not the only thing that Pearce was after. Some time later he became the owner of a bedroll and a waterskin after handing over a single silver coin and a further two for the waterskin.
The morning had progressed and the marketplace soon filled with people of all shapes and sizes. The merchants were struggling to keep up with the number of potential customers, however some were coping more easily than others. Farmers had come to sell their produce and a there were a few selling chickens or goats. The whole place was filled with sights and sounds.
After putting the bread and waterskin away and carrying the bedroll by placing its strap over his shoulder, Pearce decided that he had bought enough, with only four silver coins and ninety-two copper coins left he thought that he shouldn't spend any more money. The day had been costly, but he could hardly go on a journey without food, water or a place to sleep. He walked out of the marketplace, trying to ignore the merchants as they tried to lure in more customers, and headed towards where he and Caerwyn would meet up and left on the long journey to Blarkenvurk.

When Silver wanted an adventure, he admitted to himself that he hadn't meant this kind of trip. Walking for days along dry paths and forests, eating only what he could scavenge from the land and the animals. Every night he would sleep in the nearest tree to the other two travelers, perched almost like a bird, but laid out more like a cat. Still, it wasn't very comfortable.
Along the way, he'd heard a good amount of their conversations, and while most of it wasn't very important, he had learned their names. Pierce and Care-win. Strange names, but then again he might have just misheard, then assumed that was what it was for the rest of the trip.
But the biggest thing was that they hadn't broken character this whole time, which meant that they probably were who they said they were. He really doubted that anyone would be so dedicated to fool people that they kept an act up for a week, even when no one else was (presumably) watching.
He had been tempted to reveal himself to them for a while now, but that feeling was always faint. He would reveal himself when he had to, and no later.

The journey had been fairly uneventful, save for the occasional abandoned cart. Pearce found these to be unsettling, especially when the dead were left there. Whoever owned those carts must have needed to leave quickly, what could have made them need to leave so fast? Overall it took about a week for Pearce and Caerwyn to reach the site where Blarkenvurk had previously stood.
The sight of it shocked Pearce, where a town once stood was now nothing but ash and smoke. The creature that attacked this place had practically razed it, nothing was left standing. Well, almost nothing. Standing out from the rest of the destruction was a what appeared to be a tower, apparently left alone by the creature. It was unusual that the building would be left almost untouched when all the others have been reduced to ash and rubble. Apparently this had not gone unnoticed by Caerwyn, who asked what it was.
"I'm not sure" Pearce said, "It is strange to find something still standing when the rest of this poor, ill-fated town was destroyed so completely."
They were there to hunt whatever creature had done this to the town of Blarkenvurk, but now that Pearce was here he had worries about how dangerous this creature must be. Perhaps the creature was a fire-breathing dragon or some creature that Pearce would have only read about in dusty old tomes. However, Pearce knew that he couldn't leave here without at least trying to help stop the creature, he wouldn't just leave. He looked to Caerwyn and spoke.
"We must find that creature" Pearce said, determination evident in his voice.
If a creature could do this to Blarkenvurk, what stopped it from doing the same to another city? They had to help stop this beast. Pearce doubted that they were alone in hunting the beast. Perhaps others decided to try to take down the beast, maybe others would be sent. Pearce knew that they had to help, and maybe there would be others that could hunt it down with them.

Scouur - Elgar

((Gate's West gate leads into a small forest sanctuary patrolled by Sworl city guards, did you mean Eastern gate?))

7 days following...
Blarkenvürk - Scouur City Guard
