Looks: Reddish scales and a cream belly and large wings, looks like the picture below.
Personality/BIO: This Dragon has a hate for humans. The Garlants burned down his forest home to make room for their towns when Falgrn was a hatchling. Now at forty five feet long and several tons, with thick scales and a large brain, he seeks to return the favor..
Falgrn finishes his meal, then seeks out the smell of a human. He hopes it to be a woman, killing women infuriates the humans. Then another presence is felt by him: A sword, engraved with ancient runes. A great warrior is nearby...
Phoenix takes off into the air and flies in circles high up in the air. "What is he doing this close to my territory? Is he a threat?" He thinks for a while before deciding that the easiest way to find out, is to land in front of the human. So he lands right about a meter away from the human and screeches.
Leif jumps to his feet, dropping the fish beside the fire and grabbing his dagger from his waist. With the bird so much closer, he could now see just how large it actually is. He stands wearily and fully alert, ready for any sudden movements, his dagger in hand.
Phoenix stares the human right into the eyes, waiting for any sudden moments. When nothing happens, he extends his wings and slowly lights himself on fire.
Leif stumbles backwards, tightening his grip on the dagger.
Phoenix continues to stare at the human while thinking, "If I stay here, I can both warm this human up and define if he's a threat later." Soon Phoenix lays down onto the ground, still staring the human in his eyes.
Leif continued looking intently at the bird, even as it sat down. However, because the bird seemed to be so relaxed, Leif felt himself relax as well, despite his better judgement. Some questions still nagged at him. What type of bird lights itself on fire? Was this a dragon? Some evolutionary optical illusion for intimidation? If so, then that must mean that the phoenix was planning to attack? Or perhaps it just felt threatened? But, if it felt threatened, it wouldn't have relaxed. So perhaps it hadn't relaxed. Maybe it was just taking a different tactic. Leif realized his eyes had wandered, and quickly turned them back. The wings were still on fire. Suddenly, a thought hit him.
Could this be the Phoenix?
The Phoenix was a legendary beast from old tales and legends, but in recent years stories of the giant fire-bird had once again gained in popularity. If there actually was a Phoenix... That would be incredible...
As Ardin approaches a clearing in the oak forest, Falgrn knows he approaches. That sword...
Long ago, when the nations were at peace, they came together to forge a sign of unity: A long sword. This sword had the runes of the Shcots, metal of the Garlents, handle design of the Fairlens, and the seal of the Landons. It was of a rare steal that was one of the hardest in the world; It had slain one of the most powerful dragons in the world, over one hundred years ago...
Karthra had been wandering the wilderness for several days, armed with her bow and her pride. As she walked through the forests, not unlike rockies of our world, she had bow in hand at all times. There were bears, lycans, Stags with huge horns, and many creeping creatures.
Her eyes wandered. She saw this forest as nothing but land that would some day be used for her country. But eyes were watching also her...
Phoenix continues to stare at the human. But soon he hears a sound from the forest, so he decides to stand up and look what it is. A split second later, a bear jumps out...It has apparently decided to eat that human. Phoenix is thrown of balance and falls onto his back, lighting the forest on fire.
Leif, already at attention, is shocked by the appearance of the bear. A creature as large and frightening as the Phoenix should have scared off any wild creatures within a the surrounding forest. While the bear is temporarily distracted by the forest fire and the Phoenix, Leif sheathes his dagger and bends down, heaving his supply bag's strap onto his shoulder, and grabbing his sword, pointing it at the Bear. Because of how close he is to the water, he knows that he can easily escape the fire, but first he wants to rid himself of this bear.
Suddenly an arrow whizzes past Phoenix, catches on fire and hits the bear in the leg, causing great pain.
Kartha had been being stalked by the sickly bear, then it spotted Phoenix. She followed it, hoping to put the noble beast out of his misery. Then from the brush she spotted her young comrade. Quickly she dashes with the speed of a cat and dives into the water, close to Leif...

Leif, who was on the shore, facing the bear while this occurred, takes the moment of distraction and slices across the bear's neck, killing it. Presently, Leif uses the cover of fire to dive into the water and escape the Phoenix and his unknown intentions., landing only 50 cm from Kartha's position. He sheathed his sword, gripped his supply bag tightly, and began swimming, signalling for Kartha to follow him in the direction he had already determined would lead to the Shcots and their archaic villages.
Karthra looks at Leif, then the bird. She doesn't move a muscle, other than her eyes. They give the bird an updown, noting its size and features. She stands.
"You're quite a sight." She tells the great bird, standing twenty feet or so away. "My mother told me alot about you."
Anything Leif was saying was going right past her, she stared into the eyes of the Phoenix, bird of legend and emblem of the blacksmiths the the scorchers. Were there more? If he was a true flesh and blood creature, then what else dwelled in the wilds?
Slowly, ever so slowly she drew her bow. "I'm sorry."
Falgrn lands and begins to walk the forest, he has very little trouble because the trees are quite large and he can maneuver quite well. He sniffs the air. A horse...
Thor begins to act up, stomping his feet and flaring at the nostrils. Angus also seemed on edge, his ears pointing back and whiskers twitching.
"The forest is too bloody silent." Ardin tells himself. He draws his old sword, he's never had to use it before, and in fact is very unfamiliar with it. "Bloody he..." Ardin gazes at the sword, a slight blue light comes from engraving on the blade: Runes.
Runes were first used by Schot shaman and priests, men who advise the chief and are thought to use magic, at the dawn of the first four tribes. They can only be read by few people, but are thought to have magic words on them, weather this is true or not is debated.
Leif slowly pushes himself off his stomach, shaking his head to try and regain some senses. He spits out some water which he must have swallowed during his short swim. His ears are waterlogged, so his balance is somewhat messed up, as is his vision. Didn't get very far, Leif thinks when he sees blue flames. His vision slowly begins to clear. Why are those flames blue? he thinks. Slowly he begins to come to his senses and he suddenly becomes aware of Kartha aiming her bow at the blue fires, blue fires which, with shock, he realizes are not those of the fire, but rather they come from the Phoenix. How could the beast have followed them?! Leif snaps back to his senses, jumping to his feet and grabbing his sword. The sudden movement distracts both the Phoenix and Kartha.
In the moment of distraction Leif brings his sword to bear on the Phoenix, the tip angling at the Phoenix's neck.
"You are not welcomed here. Go or we shall slit your throat, great beast. Go for your own good," Leif commands, his sternest expression plastered across his face. He hopes that beast can understand him, because he truthfully has no interest in harming something so majestic.
As Leif angles the tip of his sword towards the Phoenix throat, his flames turns to bright red and orange. As a sign of "I'm very dangerous!" "Humans are weird, I still can't decide if he is a enemy or a friend. If I let him go, he might come back with another group of humans. If I kill him, Human will find me and take revenge on my nest...I still need to follow him." Phoenix thinks to himself.
Leif notices the indecision in the bird's eyes. He marvels at this bird, how it can convey human emotions. It truly is a wonderful creature.
When the flames begin to burn in warmer shades, Leif maintains his position. He notices Kartha seems to be waiting for his cue. He knows that one wrong move and the bird could possibly overpower the both of them. He can't allow for that to happen. The mission must be completed. The mission! He ignores his better judgement and quickly glances towards the ground, checking for his supply bag. Luckily, it still sits there, just about a meter away. Some traveller-meat, a salted food that lasts for long periods without a cellar, is sticking out of the bag. Leif's eyes dart back to the Phoenix. Hopefully it will go on its way without bothering them.
Phoenix lowers his head, so Leif can easily cut of his neck, and he stares into Leif's eyes with his blank, endless eye. It almost looks like he mocks Leif by doing this, as it looks like Phoenix don't think Leif even dares to swing.
Leif stares back at the Phoenix, it's glare so knowing and superior. He wrestles with his options. Kartha, beside him, still awaits his movement. He realizes that if he doesn't move soon, Kartha will, and he will lose any respect and superiority he has from her. With this in mind, Leif fluidly raises the sword, give the beast a moment to react before he will chop downwards. Imagine the riches for the head of a Phoenix! He thinks, and then his sword moves.
Phoenix head is cut off, and he makes no sound, no noise. For a moment, the whole forest is quiet....until his body and head disperses into ash. That ash begins to burn wildly, and you can hear a loud shriek as Phoenix is reborn from the fire. He flies into the air and makes some loud Shrieks before landing with a THUMP! onto the ground behind Leif, he is fully on fire. For some seconds, he only stares at Leif. With a look saying "How could you?" and shrieks at him. Soon-ish a fire arises in the forest, it seems that Phoenix rebirth accidentally light also this side on fire...
Leif stares at the ground for a moment, shocked by the result of his actions. He spins around to face the Phoenix, but before he has a chance to do anything, he notices an arrow fly past his head and strike the Phoenix. Presumably it must have come from Kartha's bow. When the arrow strikes, Leif stands his ground.
"Great beast, we have no interest in fighting you. We are here for the Might of the Garlants, and you have no business interfering in our affairs. Yours is a plain of existence higher than ours, and though I know not why you choose to pursue us, I plan to continue my mission. Should you choose to confront us again, may you know that I will slice off your head repeatedly until you do not choose to return to the pain of my sword," Leif warns, but inside his brain, an idea pops into existence. Could this beast have made an allegiance with the Shcots? Should I pursue an allegiance with it as well? He decides the best course of action is to try once again to ignore the mighty beast.

Name: Tergen
Faction: Volgrant
Age: Thirty Five
Looks: 7 feet and 5 inches tall, well muscled but a bit more on the lean side.
BIO: Tergen was a hero, a famed raider, a champion. Was. Now... Now he's an outcast, a nobody. Let me tell you his tale...
Tergen was born the son of a decently accomplished raider, a decent warrior but not the best, his father brought him on his first raid at the age of 9. He was given a short sword ad told to stick with his father, he was the youngest in the raids and some would say to young but his father was a hard man who believed war should be taught young.
The boat landed with a thud and the men stormed onto land, holding weapons bare, it was a well off village but with little defenses. They destroyed the wooden palisade with ease and started raiding. They met little resistance and Tergen loved it, he loved watching the people cut down, killed. Slaughtered. He joined in with a screech of his own, the survivors would later call him the "Child Demon". He was quite the sight, blonde covering him, a mad grin in his eyes and a devilish glint in his eyes. He killed the young, old, helpless, anyone who stood in his path died.
After this raid his father realized his son would become a great warrior, and he took him on many raids and honed his son's skill, he died by a lucky arrow shot in a raid when Tergen was 15. Nobody in that town survived and the archer who killed his father was cruelly tortured, by the grinning devil that was Tergen.
He became a champion, none could best him and his sword simply named "The Bloodseeker". All feared his prowess. One day he heard of a city of gemcutters, vampires had recently cut down the garrison in a couple of brave raids and Tergen took the chance. The raid went well, they looted much and the bloodseeker spilled much blood that day.
At the end of the battle only a child got away, that child ran into the forest and became a vampire. Vengeance in his heart. Tergen had killed his family in front of him, he barely slipped away. This child grew to become a Vampire Chief, a powerful warrior, a devil to kill a devil.
This devil who went by the name 'Ruin' sought out Tergen, he took boats with his vampire army who numbered 100 and stormed Tergen's small city, his home. They killed much, but they could not win. Ruin left his army to fight the city garrison and he sunk away to Tergen's bedchambers where Tergen slept easily. He crept up to the man and raised his sword but in that moment, Tergen woke up and pushed the sword away. He knocked the vampire on the ground quickly and they wrestled on the ground. Tergen won but he got bit in the arm, he would soon become a vampire.
He realized he would be shunned by his own people, so instead of letting his legacy be ruined he donned a cape. Took his famous sword and headed out. Leaving his homelands, to new fortunes and to deal with the curse that is vampirism.
Hold on everybody, I will be back soon and answer all the questions, I am at a festival right now. Me and commando will need to talk about vampires more.
Kartha follows her commanders lead, and while covering Leif, allows him to grab the supply bag. They continue to follow the creek, ignoring the fire. But, someone spots the fire and begins to head that way, Ardin, not knowing that a dragon stalks him...
My profile picture, it may be a character at some point.
As they begin to outpace the fire, leaving the Phoenix behind, Leif turns to Kartha. He realizes they have not said a word to each other since they were reunited. Certainly, he senses that he is intimidated by her. She has proven already to be much more adept in battle than he is, which surprises him. Of course, he is basing this only on his knowledge of her prowess with a bow. Leif should very much like to see which of the two would best the other in a duel, someday.
"Did you see the others after the Barlos attacked?" Leif inquires. He had planned to call them by name, but realizes that he can not recall ever learning them by anything other than appearance and personality. The young soldier, he most certainly did not deserve to die. He probably wasn't even fit for the mission, but eagerness was another matter. The older man, he couldn't be cared less about. Leif's only regret for him was that he had not bested him in combat. If he should ever learn that the two did survive, he should very much like to finish what they had begun.
Another thing nags at the back of Leif's mind. He can not place it, but it is there, like a fly by the ear, buzzing in a way that sparks intrigue, even when none is consciously desired.
((Who is the great warrior?))
Leif jumps to his feet, dropping the fish beside the fire and grabbing his dagger from his waist. With the bird so much closer, he could now see just how large it actually is. He stands wearily and fully alert, ready for any sudden movements, his dagger in hand.
