Hello fellow RPers. I've been involved in quite a few RPs now, and I'd like to start a new one.(like I'm not involved in a dozen already.) Some have crashed and burned, some have been forgotten, and some are still going strong. So just vote in the poll above for an RP you'd like to be in and I'll try to make it.
I'm going to be adding my own special twist though, so it won't be boring or generic.
Hmmmm....interesting. I had imagined something else but.....I think I like your idea better. Would you think of it as a third person RP or more game-y like D&D?
I've always liked the idea of a roleplay about a small team, namely the player characters, of criminals performing elaborate heists to steal various valuables. Working their way up from nothing, getting better gear as they get more cash, growing more skilled and taking on even more daring heists. Complete with planning, preparing and whatnot. Just imagining the scenarios is awesome, from car chases, stealthily knocking out guards, cutting into a bank vault while holding off the cops in a firefight...
I cant agree more, after all, I need my Payday two.
Third person RP, but with game-like elements I guess. Such as a black market shop to buy new gear using the money from prior heists, obviously split between each person. Maybe a class or 'role' system too so not everybody is playing the stealthy cat-burglar type.

I think it should go as follows:
Mastermind: The Mastermind is a manipulative leader who excels in situational control. Master at situation control, good at securing hostages and reviving downed teammates. Also serves the role of a medic.
Aggresors/ Enforcers: The Enforcer is a violent criminal, usually employed by crime syndicates to execute jobs no one else can. Can carry the heaviest armor and has numerous bonuses to weapon damage. Can deploy ammo bags.
Escape Drivers: Serves both Wheelmen and Pilot roles. Not much to say about this guy.
Technician: The Technician is an expert in practical application of criminal science, enjoying anything that goes BOOM. Serves as the explosives expert and can deploy sentry guns. Has drill upgrades. Can deploy trip mines. To me, he is the science guy.
Ghost/cat: The Ghost is a stealth artist, capable of grand theft without force or violence. Can deploy ECM jammers, capable of opening ATM's and cancels out electronic devices for a short amount of time. The Ghost is the best at picking locks, and with the right skills can lock pick safes.
((You get skill points to spend as you complete heists. Some class specific skills like safe lock picking, drill upgrades, the most heavy armor, and Inspire must be bought with skill points.))

One question: I had planned to add special powers for the RP to somewhat mix modern and magic themes. It could make for some interesting heists. Do you think I should add the supernatural powers or leave them out?
Not magic exactly. There aren't any wizards or spells or magic runes; it's not a fantasy RP. The idea is that there's a power that can only be channeled through certain rings, and it can enhance physical abilities. Speed, strength, stamina, etc. But, I suppose if you guys don't want any fancy powers......I guess I can leave them out.

I will be joining the Crime RP, but maybe not this weekend. Sometime after. Anyways, other ideas. More superpower RPs. Some sort of Magic School RP. Most Anime would make great RPs (I suggest somehow doing a Black Butler one, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, Space Dandy, or another action anime.). And I am trying to do some kind of D&D RP. It won't have like character sheets and stuff, but it will have levels and feats and races and classes and other things. But it won't have rolling and stats. I might have to implement some sort of rolling system possibly for like hitting and lockpicking. That will be worked on, but for now, it'll just like an MMORPG with health and levels and feats.
Okay. I have a lot of things to consider. With all that, and school about to start for me, I'm going to be swamped so I won't be starting anything this week. Maybe not even next week. Keep your eyes open, and I'll post back here once I get a definite decision.
- Crime RP - September 14. (May be postponed. This will be classed-based.)
- Space RP - September 21. (May be postponed.)
- Fantasy RP - September 28, might be earlier or later depending on how much work I have.
- Doctor Who RP - Sometime in October.
The rest of the RPs voted for will come at a later date. Not sure when. I will start them in an order of Most Voted For to Least Voted For. If you have any more ideas, I'm still open to suggestions.
