I dive into my ultrasafe rocket, and blast into the MOON BUNKER, equipped with adamantium-plated walls, with special uberellium helmets inside. I get into the control room, but then my security cameras show me...that they are coming BY METEOR, and they are headed straight for the moon!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
BOOM!
Shadow Lurkers summoned!
I detect an example of Serial Escalation. I need a TV Tropes account.

Shadow Lurkers: They fire at Mercer
Exclusion Zone: It double-taps Mercer, finishing him! +1,000!
Wave complete!
All player health restored! All rage reset!
+$11,000 and 1,000 XP from wave completion.
[Mercer falls to the ground.]
Mercer (whispering): I'm sorry, Cordis Die... I have failed you...
Bio: Don't worry, Mercer. Clark will be joining you soon enough.
[Bio fires a .44 magnum at Mercer, killing him.]
Bio: McKnight, Mercer is confirmed dead. Repeat: Mercer is confirmed dead.
McKnight: Nice work, team. Now finish this war.
[The team breaks down Clark's door.]
Clark: Oh, joy. Guests. Can I interest you in some tea?
Fseftr: Shut your mouth. Besides, we prefer Lisharon's tea.
Clark: Yes, that fellow makes some excellent tea.
TT: I really don't like you, Clark. Neither does Scolipede.
Scolipede: Scoli...
Clark: What do you think that oversized bug could do to me?
TT: Only this.
[Scolipede charges at Clark and uses his horns to knock Clark into a wall.]
TT: And there's more where that came from.
[Bio punches Clark in the face and throws him on the ground. Ka_doink kicks Clark in the ribs while fseftr allows Carvanha to hit him with an Ice Fang. Knight fires an ARK-boosted pistol at Clark. Stickcrafter pours some of Clark's tea on him, and Fear runs Clark over with his Crap Carrier.]
Clark: [coughs violently] I'm im-- impressed. No one has ever come this close to-- [coughs] to killing me before...
Bio: Before we finish you off, tell us your motive. Why'd you do... all of this?
Clark: [smirks] Revenge.
Knight: What do you mean, "revenge"?
Clark: The American military killed both of my parents.
Bio: Yeah, because they threatened to launch nuclear missiles at the US and start World War III.
Clark: [chuckles weakly] I almost succeeded where they... failed.
TT: You know, I know you probably can't help being naturally evil, but I can't help being tired of your status as Evil Brit.
[TT fires a USP .45 at Clark.]
Clark: So... close...
[Clark coughs one more time before finally dying.]
Knight: McKnight, Clark is down.
McKnight: Team, that was textbook material. Sending an exfil chopper your way. ETA: 60 seconds.

Epilogue: Tying Up Loose Ends
Bio (narrating): With Clark dead, the US returned to peace. The other countries threatened by Cordis Die praised us for a job well done. The casualties of the Cordis Die War were all honored for their aid in winning the war. Marshall was given a 21 gun salute. Finally, the Outpost Defenders returned home, where they were greeted with a celebration of their acts against Cordis Die. Speaking of Cordis Die, they ended up disbanding, with most of their members being rounded up and locked away in the US federal prison, with some particularly cruel members being placed on death row.
[Bio looks to the small audience that gathered around, glancing to the Outpost Defenders beside him.]
Bio: And that's our story.
[The team is given a round of applause.]
McKnight: Great speech, men. How does it feel to be the heroes of the world?
TT: We feel like a million bucks.
McKnight: I'll bet. C'mon, there's something I want you to do.
[The team follows McKnight to the virtual reality simulator.]
McKnight: It's time to see how well you guys would perform against each other. Load into the simulator and get ready for some free-for-all combat. Those who have Pokèmon will have them load into the simulation with you. Good luck.
[The team loads into the simulator and begins to do battle.]

AGM-173 Trinity [$2,500 | 1 use]: Instantly kills target and deals 20% of maximum health as damage to bosses, along with 100 splash damage to nearby targets. Hits 2 turns after use. Accuracy is affected by number of designators (maximum of three per turn). Accuracy is 17% multiplied by number of designators (six designators provides 100% accuracy). Using an Oracle System on the target counts as one designation. With 3/6 accuracy or less, if the missile hits at all, it may hit a random enemy that isn't the original target. Zeus Exclusion Zone 4X MK. 2 [$2,750 | 200 health]: Summons an attack vehicle armed with four independently targeting miniguns that deal 20 damage each to random enemies. If less than four enemies are alive, two miniguns can fire upon the same enemy.

I vote for Birdie, because there's a reason we didn't vote for any of the other perks. I then heal a random player.
Unless, of course, we can't summon league guys any more. Except if you mean allies like the Dragon Tank or the Exclusion Zone. Actually, I vote for Gambler.
Wait...we just get to KEEP all of our items? Seriously? If it's not a mistake, I gun down Stickcrafter immediately with the sun magnetizer. If it is, I dive behind Scolipede(I'M MORE IMPORTANT) and poison tail Stickcrafter.
Well, it's nice to see we reached a conclusion, even if it was one where we, assuming Cordis Die membership only lost the few thousand we killed throughout the story, SUCCESSFULLY IMPRISONED A THIRD OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION. HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK.

So it turns out that the Eradicator is the Final Boss instead, not Clark Johnson or Elias Mercer...
Poor Mercer. It is our very actions that lead to his Start Of Darkness...
Petrify Gun Bioshock. MWAHAHAHA!
Technically, Mercer was the True Final Boss. You know, I've never bothered to give Mercer a first name, but I think I'll go with Elias.
Nice Job Breaking It, Heroes.
You petrify me!

Okay okay, that's enough. Nice story, Bio!
It's not a mistake.
I forgot to nerf the Sun Magnetizer to 75 damage, so you fire it at Stickcrafter for 80 damage!
I think two billion was just ridiculous. I'm considering retconning it to two million.
Are you genuinely complimenting the storyline, or is that sarcasm? It's hard to tell by looking at text.
Clark promised very much for Cordis Die's members. Most of the world's population knew that it would end up being a terrorist organization. (I'm not sure if this would fall under Hand Wave or Ass Pull.)
+10 health to Stickcrafter
Why are you healing people in a free-for-all?

In Blade mode, deals 20 damage and has a 50% chance to cause vaporization (Deadlier burning), and a 20% chance to cause severe vaporization, but consumes two uses when used. In Blaster mode, deals 15 damage and has a 50% chance to cause burning and a 20% chance (10% for armored targets) to penetrate enemies and hit the next listed one, but only deals 10 damage to machines. Sword of Insanity [$800 | 3 uses]: Deals 100 damage, but makes the user insane, causing them to lose 20 health every turn the own it until it breaks. Cannot be sold. When attached to a Stealth Sniper, it retains the uses of the Sniper used in the combination, increases the damage, and doubles the headshot chance. Can only be used once per wave. Engietech Dismemberer Blade [$1,000 | 4 uses]: Deals 65 damage and applies amputation to target.
Fun fact: The plot about Clark's parents launching nuclear missiles at the US will be the plot of a future Outpost Defenders game that is set in the past, but still in the future. Which will soon be the present.

My head hurts.
I hide behind carvanha (if it dying here isn't an actual death)
I have it use ice fang.
If something runs out of health here, they'll be taken out of the VR simulator, and will be present in the third game.
You hide behind Carvanha and use Ice Fang on Knight for 53 damage
I get back in front of Scolipede, and buy some body armor for myself! I also poison tail Stickcrafter with RAGE to finish him!
Also Bio, aside from the 2 million members thing, the story was actually pretty nice. Good job.
Combat Armor purchased, 20 damage to Stickcrafter! Adrenaline Rush allows him to survive!
Thanks. I think I'll just unleash a retcon and take it down from two billion to a much more reasonable two million.
So in the future, thinking back to what happened in the past will soon be where we are now? I love messing with time...
I purchase/use a V-Stun Wave..
Si.
V-Stun Wave purchased, 2 damage to all, Stickcrafter killed (despite not being a real death)! +$500!
Since I forgot to nerf that as well to be chance based, you stun TT!

Lightning Bolter [$950 | 6 uses]: Fires a large sphere of electricity that deals 40 damage to humans and 32 damage to machines. Also has a 30% chance to hit nearby enemies (The ones above and below the target on the player list).
Carton of Milk [$300 | 1 use]: Instantly cures all status conditions on a player or friendly NPC, whether those conditions are positive or negative.
Lightning Taser [$400 | 3 uses]: Deals 10 damage to a target and stuns them.
Motor Trampoline [$600 | 25 health]: Summons a Motor Trampoline that follows between waves and can be used to make a player aerial for 1 turn, doubling their damage and halving their chance of being hit by attacks. Can also be used as a piece of average cover with a capacity of 3.
Vintage Lisharon Field Hospital [$1,100 | 1 use]: Builds an indestructible Lisharon field hospital that does not follow between waves and functions as an environmental hazard that deals 60 damage to enemies. Also applies a status condition from this list: Poisoning, burning, withering, amputation (Greatly reduces attack damage), finger amputation (Less extreme version of amputation), insanity (Attacks have a 30% chance to backfire and damage self), blindness, deafness (Cannot be healed from other sources), sugar crash (reduces victim's damage output by 66%), common cold (slow health drain that is incurable), allergies (triples victim's damage taken), and death (obvious, deals 5% of a boss' maximum health as damage). All conditions are temporary.
Hacked Sectopod [$1,200 | 150 health]: Summons a hacked Sectopod that fires two lasers that each deal 25 damage, and counters attacks with another laser that deals 10 damage.
HITRON Chopper [$900 | 70 health]: Summons a helicopter that deals 30 damage, but required players to manually use it. Can only attack once per turn, and must reload after 3 firings. Can also evacuate civilians instead of attacking to keep them safe until the chopper is destroyed.
Plasma Blade/Blaster [$650 | 8 uses]: Can be used as a blade or blaster.
Results in faster bleeding out when WIA.
Engietech SFBR [$850 | 20 uses]: Deals 10 base damage, with multiple firing modes. Automatic deals double damage, but consumes 2 uses. Burst deals 30 damage, but consumes 3 uses. Semi-Auto deals 10 damage, and has a 25% chance to pierce armor. Unload deals 5 damage times the number of uses, but consumes all remaining uses instantly.
Laser Sight [$500 | 3 uses]: Increases the damage of any held item by 5, and adds a 50% chance to blind the target. Stacks with rage. When attached to a Stealth Sniper, it retains the uses of the Sniper used in the combination, increases the damage, and doubles the headshot chance. However, it doesn't blind, the two cannot be separated, and taking cover does not increase headshot chance.
V-Stun Wave [$1,000 | 1 use]: Deals 2 damage to all enemies and stuns each of them. Can only be used once per wave.
Engietech Dismemberer Blade [$1,000 | 4 uses]: Deals 65 damage and applies amputation to target. Has a 5% chance to cause total dismemberment, which deals 70% of target's max health as additional damage (45% for minibosses, 10% for bosses) and deals 20 damage to user.
Blades of Sin [$1,000 | 8 uses]: Damage dealt is equal to 50% of the target's health. Hits all enemies at once, but can't kill any of them. Bosses cannot be hit. Price increases depending on how much health the buyer has left (maximum price is $1,100). Loses one use for every enemy affected (if more than 8 enemies are alive, only 8 will be hit).
Outpost Defenders III will be posted when this bonus round is completed, or until this thread dies off. Whichever comes first.

Check out my new game, Legends of Aekran!
I then buy a laser sight and attach it to my Nuclear ICBM! Because logic! I then launch it at us.
If this will kill everyone... I don't do this. I don't want to end this immediately.
Unless, of course, we can't summon league guys any more. Except if you mean allies like the Dragon Tank or the Exclusion Zone. Actually, I vote for Gambler.

Poor Mercer. It is our very actions that lead to his Start Of Darkness...
Petrify Gun Bioshock. MWAHAHAHA!
Okay okay, that's enough. Nice story, Bio!

You can only afford the advanced armor, so you buy that.
You detonate the ICMB, dealing 20 damage to all!

Technically, Mercer was the True Final Boss. You know, I've never bothered to give Mercer a first name, but I think I'll go with Elias.
Nice Job Breaking It, Heroes.
You petrify me!
IT DOESN'T SEEM TO PHASE ANYONE. THEY JUST LOOK A LITTLE CONFUSED.
