Tuesday, September. I can't remember what day of the month it is at the moment because of the terrible day I had at school. As usual. After saying 'see-yah' to one of my friends, a.k.a. one of the few people that I can see having a positive future in the asylum I call school, I skip the steps of the bus and land right onto the dark sidewalk. As the bus leaves, it belches an ugly brown cloud of exhaust right in my face. Yeah, no air pollution.
Walking down the sidewalk, I look up at the dreary, dark sea of clouds covering the sky. One of my favorite weathers. I could've sworn i heard some thunder in the distance, and looking around, I realize that it was just another car passing by. Me and my crazy imagination.
After about ten minutes of walking and letting my mind wander to the farthest reaches of imagination, I notice a certain crack in the sidewalk that looked all too familiar to me. Yep, I got home.
Perking up and walking a bit faster, I skip the first step and turn the doorknob.
Wait...
The doorknob didn't turn.
Locked! My parents only lock the door when nobody's home! A bit confused, I run up to the garage door and peek through the window to find both of the cars, parked inside. That's weird...
I hop over the gate to our alpine forest-bordering backyard (which I have to say, the grass was a nice, deep shade of green), and swiftly make an arc to the back door. Expecting it to be locked, it flung open, sending a surprised me into the kitchen.
Closing the door behind me...I realised that was the only sound I heard. The sounds that accompanied it were the multiple zippers on my backpack jingling and complete, utter, deafening scilence.
"Hey-o, I'm home!" I shout, trying not to sound confused. Nothing replied.
All the lights are off in the house. It almost looks like the power was shut off. From where I was standing, it looked like nothing bad had happened. No blood, nothing was tipped over, everything looked exactly in place.
A living room lies in front of me. Next to that path are some carpeted stairs that lead up to the bedrooms and such. Behind me is the backyard, with a dense forest lying at the edge of it.
What should I do?
Rulez:
-Don't drag out stuff. I won't take "take left step, take right step, take left step" or anything like that.
-Don't ask to do stuff that I don't know how it should carry out. Stuff like "go up the unclimbable sheer 100-foot cliff" won't be attempted unless you say how I should do it.
-Don't ask to do too much stupid stuff. The guy's not mentally ill.
-No, I'm not putting up pictures. Think of it like a novel.
