Yeah, putting it into detail is always more appealing than just putting down a number. Stats and skills require a very delicate framework to be placed down if they are to work at all; you can't just say it's there and expect it to be helpful. I can make it work, though!
In The Land of Ash-Laden Wind, I actually abandoned numbers in combat/fatigue/health/magic/lots of places. I realized that anything I could do by looking at a chart and pressing a button on random.org can be done just as easily and sometimes better by using my own sense.
We've been discussing a Sci-fi/fantasy mixed universe into a lot of depth over PM, but before we commit to it, I have to know that everyone would be okay with something like that.
It won't be too unlike the movie Avatar, with the humans being very high-tech, but a mystic/bestial race being equally strong. There's a third race planned, too, but I won't spoil it yet.
I had major second thoughts on the setting right before I went to sleep last night. I feel like mashing together all these ideas and time periods would be really confusing to update and far less believable than sticking to a single era, which represents a very bad hit against my ability to update it.
I'm still willing to do it if all the other DMs feel strongly for it, but let it be known that my official stance now is reconsideration on the grounds that I'd like using a simpler setting than "Guns, magic, lasers, giant beasts, aliens with swords and bows, every medical solution from alchemy to futuristic medicine..." It sounds a little hard to manage.
If you're all open to other ideas, I realized that the PRESSURE RP I hinted at a long time ago could work, and it would be reusable, since rounds could realistically last as short as a week. Other than PRESSURE, I had good feelings about a cliche Prohibition-era crime-war setting, a field not unknown to most of us. I'd still be fine doing a generic medieval fantasy game, too... You still have options, I just don't feel so good about the one we chose.

I highlighted what spiked my interests! Although that may show to be a bit restictive...

I get what you are saying, and I noticed that a good formula for RP's Is having areas that are all complytly different connected by one small point. I saw 1 Rp, Multiworld maddness on DF forums that had 10 "Worlds" Linked by one travel cube. You had to do something in each "World" and then you could chose the next one. It allowed you to have all the themes you wanted, and it was a great succses, running for over 100 pages. You could use something like this. Good luck with the RP, and I wish I could help, but I am planing a different Minecraft Town build RPG
I have a strong urge to create that PRESSURE RPG myself. That's kind of bad, because we all know that urges like these can lead to making bad decisions, then resulting in games that are crippled before completion...

I'm still thinking about it.
I do personally like the idea of a 1920's era RP if you ask me.

Despite all my attempts at structured preparation and looking into the common interest, I have everything ready for a PRESSURE RPG.
The map,
RC: Resource collection
CQ: Captain's quarters
OBS: Observatory ((It looks a bit like "ODS" due to resizing))
R: Research
CH: Security checkpoint
REC: Recreational area and data library
HUB: Central hub ((This is also a victim of resizing; it might look like "HUD"))
XTR: External engineering
PP: Power plant
AXC: Air exchange
ES: Engineering storage
S: Local security
BARR: Barracks
MESS: Mess hall
W: Waste disposal
Red Cross: Medical bay
ORANGE: Special equipment
GREEN: Equipment vital to survival
LIGHT GRAY: Airlock
DARK GRAY: Infrastructure/power lines/gas pipes/structural supports (not all shown)
BLUE: Ocean floor
The classes,
Captain (Complete base access and basic knowledge of all tools)
Security guard (High-tier base access and ready access to useful weaponry)
Medical doctor (Intermediate base access and skilled with medical items)
Electric engineer (Intermediate base access and skilled with electrical systems and related tools)
Mechanical engineer (Intermediate base access and skilled with vital base machinery and related tools)
Atmospheric engineer (Intermediate base access and skilled with pressure-related tools and components)
Biologist (High-tier base access and great knowledge of research tools and biological study)
Chemist (High-tier base access and skilled in the production and application of numerous chemicals)
Submarine navigator (Limited base access but superior skill with, and immediate access to, the submarine)
Record keeper (Limited base access but with a complete knowledge base of vital recorded information)
Diver/resource collector (Limited base access but skilled with open-water tools and diving suits, great swimmer)
KGB spy (Complete base access and has use of many clandestine tools, an unknown enemy to the base)
And a great understanding of how it can play out, round after round after round.
I was thinking of making an RP about two factions in war,
the factions are people who live with nature, and people who live in cities,
i'm actually thinking of making it now, but i might need to plan somethings out first,
It's really convenient.

I like the idea of a probition era RP, but that may be boring after sometime... Unless...
