Samuel slides his knife from its sheath, investigating the source of the noise.
(What sort of noise is it? Could you describe it?)
Samuel stumbles upon the source of the sound, coming from three cells to the party's right. When they investigate, they see... Rasuti beating someone up?
Samuel: What the hell?!
David: Wait. As much as I hate him and his corrupt actions, we'd better not get spotted. Let's retreat a bit.
The party manages to enter another room.
David: Connor, you seem to be the one who's most acquainted with this "Metaverse..." Do you know what's going on? We saw... Rasuti hitting on a prisoner...
Connor: “The person we saw getting beaten up... wasn’t real. Or, more accurately, they are, but only in the Metaverse.”
David: “What do you mean..?”
Connor: “Well, the person getting beaten up right now... isn’t the same as the person in the real world.”
David: “Huh?”
Connor: “They were only a cognition generated by the ruler’s distorted desires. Think of them as a clone, of sorts. What happens to them, doesn’t affect who they represent outside the Metaverse.” It feels wrong to call it the ‘real world’ for some reason...

David: So... to summarize, these "cognitions..." They're created by someone's desires...? And whatever happens here, doesn't happen to whoever they correspond to in the real world? Is that right?
David: Based on what I know, he's a total liar. He innocently says he's on a journey to find love, but the "love" he speaks of is that he loves going from town to town and controlling the citizens there. I don't know how he does that, but he just does. And that's why I can't forgive him.
Samuel: Same here. There's no way he'll get away with this!
The party leaves the room, and passes the cell they once stumbled upon. The prisoner there is just lying there, lifelessly, while Rasuti is gone.
David: Come on... where's the map?!
Where will you look?
Empty Cells: These cells are unoccupied, and the doors are unlocked.
Samuel scans the cells for anything useful, specifically for a map or prisoners to talk to.
Samuel: "Let's take a look and see if we can find any other prisoners. They're residents of this 'Metaverse', right? Maybe they know things about the castle we don't. I'm sure they'll be willing to lend some aid, considering where they are right now."

The first thing you try are the cells, but they're empty. You try the drawbridge, but it's uncrossable.

You know, are our characters wearing anything specific for story reasons or just outfits they would be wearing based on who they are?
To keep it short, since you're in the Metaverse, your outfits represent what your characters see as a rebel. (In other words, when they think of a rebel, what do they think they look like? Once they reach an answer, that's who your character looks like in the Metaverse.)
Strider, whos outfit is shifting mysteriously between a red hoodie thing with a white gear on the front along with red pants and a very dark red cape, a mostly black full body suit with a hat that looks like a dog head, black bird wings face paint that matches the patern that cats have on their faces, fake tentacles an extremely extravagant harlequin hat a ring with four orbs on it on his finger and a fake sword designed to look like it is stabed throug his chest all as one outfit, a steryoutypical ninja outfit, a lab coat and this outfit that i can’t realy explain, why is this, because his perseption of rebels is very broad, he has encounterd many rebels you see, and they where all diferent, sometimes it also breifly switches to whatever the other player characters where wearing in the real world, because the way he sees it, they are rebeling against history.

Connor’s rebel outfit will be a dark blue re-color of Joker’s outfit. The mask is the same as Joker’s, though, besides some nigh-invisible lenses in the eye-holes.
OT: Connor tries double-pressing the button, then holding it. If both of those fail, he checks for another button.
As Connor does this, Sally crouches down next to him and lays her arm over his back as she looks to see what Connor’s doing.
Connor: *jumps in surprise* “Wha-?!”
Sally: “Huh?!” “You felt that?!”
Connor: “...Apparently...”
Sally tries to lift a bit of Connor’s cape to check, and to her surprise, she succeeds in doing so.
Sally: Since when could I do that as a ghost?!
Connor: “Since you came into the Metaverse?”

Samuel's Metaverse outfit is a extravagant, black and grey hooded overcoat with black strips of fabric trailing behind, like streamers. Samuel's mask is a white, horned half-mask covering the top half of his face, designed to look like a demon, oni, or rakshasa. White silk gloves cover Samuel's hands.
Samuel: "Think we should keep on the lookout for a matching gem. Something good has to be across that bridge, considering the security measures. Should we leave the dungeon and explore the rest of the castle?"

David: Yeah, I think we should do that. What about you guys?
Samuel: "Well, if Strider doesn't have an opinion on the matter, majority says we head back upstairs. Fine by me. Let's see if we can find our way to a second story, maybe keep an eye out for the gem that fits into the statue."
The party, having reached a majority vote, decides to leave the dungeon. But on their way back up, the party almost collides with a guard. The guard doesn't notice the party's presence, though.
Samuel: Woah, that was close!
Strider: This thing's in our way... what do we do?
Connor: Well... I would say we take it down, but... alright, I think I can teach you guys something. Ready?
