I'm just wandering to see if anyone was interested in those types of game where you could participate (and played) as one of the high figure members of the court to persuade your people (and your oppositions) for following your own future on this slightly easy, but can be nightmarish scenario during its first (or second) expedition to an unknown new lands under the era of colonialism.
Here's how the game goes on a basic perspective, you'll controlled your own custom-made political group (as akin to controlling your own dynasty, party, council, etc) and your goal is to influence mostly everything on whatever you desire in a single colony by competing or helped by parties made by another players (in other words, teamwork/rivalry sandbox mode.) by creating proposals, ideas, amassing an army of military soldiers, destroying the ingenious people, and more.
Quite an easy game if you're know what you're doing, right? But, here's a small catch on game mechanics, there will be resources you have to manage, diplomacy with natives & another empire's colonies, managing treasuries, approvals and reputations by your own colonists, keeping stability, and other few more to count in order to keep your colony prosper and survive (or just lose it and getting your colony destroyed, either way).
Apart from that, here's a small concept/sample on how general management looks like in game (as however, this table will subject to change for refining with additional more things to look at, probably changing a whole game mechanic if possible, and also adding basic [Excel] functions for updating my table(s) easier):
So, what do you think, everyone? If you have any questions or any opinions about this game, then post it away. Since, this new forum game idea aren't completed as it is, for now. But, I'm also needed some feedback from some players first before setting up a whole game, or else I'm basically wasted all of my thoughtful thinking just to start this one particular game that nobody are willingly to join.
One problem. Not many individuals were wanted to play this type of game and thus, was questionable on game's own lifespan and player's everlasting interests before degradation.
From your first question, mostly yes. Well, not the whole world part, but partake on a large part of its landmass and sea of the world. Also, the player main goals was to shape and influencing colonies through history. Either by declaration of independence, building a famous monument, total dominance over properties, industrialization, and more. But getting biggest achievements requires patience and grand efforts to pull it off.
So basically, you're on a same team like anyone else, except your within a council's status and you have a choice between competition for power and glory or helping them for serving colonies better in the future.
