I'm currently debating whether I love this more than I've loved any single thing in my entire life, or just a whole lot. I'm leaning towards the first...
A PMV of a "Freeman's Mind" Episode would be the most amazing thing I'd ever lay eyes on. Fluttershy would be best for the role due to the sheer irony of it. XD
Someone who's better at video editing than me should do that. I would love them forever.
I have Windows Movie Maker. :D? But for cereals, DOES ANYPONY ON THIS THREAD HAVE SONY VEGAS?
Actually, it's going to be a three-parter, I believe.
Wat. Wat? WAT?!
And how do you know there isn't already some buildup? Maybe it's so subtle that we don't realize it yet? Maybe there is some massive overarching theme that simply hasn't revealed itself, but will become obvious as soon as it does?
Like "Bad Wolf" in Doctor Who.
Here's a picture:
Edit: Another picture worth posting!
Not sure how much I like this particular humanization, but the fact that it's Tara Strong is just so great.
Oh good, there is someone else on this thread that also watches Doctor Who often. I've seen that first pic, and I don't really like humanizations. They're just meh to me.
Most of it was MGS references but the music just sounded so close to all of the Sly music I've heard.
like these actually:
Episode music:(Skip to 15:52)
Now for Sly music.
They're so freaking similar it's uncanny. Maybe William kevin Anderson and Daniel Drew inspiration from it unknowingly.
Anyone else really want an ice-cream house?!
Loved when Pinkie was floating on balloons flapping about, stupid humour like that always gets me.
Also, eye-patch emergencies?! What in the hell kind of emergencies require eye-patches?
There wasn't enough Fluttershy for my liking though :c
Every episode should be a Fluttershy episode
See, the problem for me is that they're all pretty close in liking for me. Twilight wins overall, and then after that it gets VERY hard to choose. So, on that, maybe. Maybe.
Anyway. Sounds like what you need is a Fluttershy toy which you could then proceed to brush obsessively on an island in the middle of a sub-terrain lake while waiting for Saturdays at 10 am. =P
Yeah, there should have been more Fluttershy. There should also have been more Rarity.
That's why they should do more Mane 6 episodes. Then everyone gets their share of their favorite pony.
Yes, there are admin bronies. Several. And I had to read that 2nd paragraph a few times to get what it was saying.
As I've said before, if they ever show Vinyl's eyes, they must be red. I've never much cared before if Hasbro did something 'wrong' in the show, but I would seethe with wrathful anger if they messed up their chance with Vinyl. But, uh, whatever; we probably won't ever see her eyes anyways.
Well, there's a decent difference. Someone breaking into a hospital is considered a serious matter because you don't know what intentions that person pony might have. The personal student of the Sun-Goddess 'paying a visit' to the Archive isn't really that bad. I imagine if Celestia really didn't want those documents to be seen then she'd have more than a few wandering guards watching over things...
Hell, why stop there? Celestia (somehow) has the time-space watched with a keen eye. Twilight only managed to travel through time due to Celestia allowing it, and that was only to let Twilight learn a lesson in a natural way- or you could chalk it up to Trollestia striking again as the episode stressed Twilight to her wit's end.
Well, here's a question you've all probably heard before.
I once thought that this was just an ordinary internet trend that would soon die out. Recently, my friends have been pressuring me to watch the show. I gave in and watched the first episode, but to be honest, I wasn't impressed. My friends keep saying "Oh, you have to keep watching! After a while, you'll be addicted." So, I watched a couple more, and I still don't get it.
Am I just dead inside, or am I missing something? Why is it so "addictive"? I know it's quite popular, but I don't see why.

Not everyone likes the same things. You're not different. People like the show, and others don't. Just tell your friends, you don't like it, and that they won't change your mind. They're trying to hard to make you like the show. But yeah, everyone has different preferences than others.

Two Possible answers:
A) You're in the denial stage or
You truly don't like it
Either way you're fine the show isn't for everyone but try a few more episodes and see if the feelings persist. If they do you don't like it big deal if you like you're always welcomed to come here and talk pony.
The main value of the show... isn't, it's the community. There's a certain rebound effect in place, and we sew our own prosperity. the show itself is fine; its animation, voice work, and general combination of interesting characters and funny cartoon moments. Addendum: it's not **** like most things on TV nowadays. The fandom is an entirely separate ball-field- one made of solid gold and platinum. The work the fans create is, quite frankly, amazing at times. Plus, everyone is (usually) pretty chill and fun to talk to
As for you, Arcus, it sounds like it's merely not your cup of tea.
Well, thanks for all of the honest answers; they can never say that I didn't try. If every single episode is the same as the episodes that I watched, then I probably will just pass on this trend.

Hey you came here and civilly asked about why we like it. So for being mature and not full of hate we'll give you good answers.

Pastmaster apparently is with us, too. Also, citricsquid joined the herd quite a while ago, and had a Fluttertar to prove it for a short period of time.
Also, I don't know why you guys are rating the episode as "pretty good" or "alright." It's clearly the best one yet--and not only because of Twilight. It's also got good jokes, fantastic storyline, nice place name puns, and an MGS reference that I would have never seen coming. And I haven't even finished it yet.
I've been watching the show since it came out. THE best cartoon I've seen in the last decade. (Avatar: The Last Airbender was awesome too but note that I said CARTOON)
DAMMIT im 5 pages late :/
and its nice to have staff on our side
Episode review time:
I'm probably giving this one a 9.75/10 simply because "10" implies perfect, which is impossible, but this is pretty darn close!
Spikes dream with rarity made me "dafuq" until i saw the house and i was like "Y U NO LUCID DREAM"
reality checks FTW, if only could do them...
I love how they SOLVED THE TIME TRAVEL PARADOX with an epilogue of sorts, and think it was funny she was saying not to worry which made her worry.
Big mac dropping pikie was hilarious.
Pinkie having rubber balls and eye-patches stashed all around town made me rofl.
The sneaking scene was possibly the funniest thing since Tomska's "The Confession"
(Look it up)
If you notice, when spike is cleaning the library and fixing the crack, how the buck do you fix a crack in a wall with paint??? XD XD
I also like the "infinity loop" thing that they did, and the fact that she is trying to warn herself not to worry, so she won't warn herself is a win.
I was laughing ALL through this episode, and the Solid Twilight was amazing. If stuff this quality was in every fictional show, then the world would be a happier, laugh-ier place.
Now, I just don't get this. At all. Don't get me wrong, Tombstone is amazing, but really? Implying Tombstone is better than the man who makes some of the best music ever to touch human ears, and does so in a matter of HOURS is beyond me.
Copypasting a book list just for the general impression.
Daring-Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone: After crash landing in the jungle, Daring-Do must elude Ahuizotl and his minions as she attempts to recover the eponymous stone from an ancient temple.
Daring-Do and the Griffon's Goblet: Daring-Do is hired to track down a mystical goblet; her search leading her to discover a conspiracy that reaches all the way into her past.
Daring-Do and the Curse of the Yeti: While excavating an ancient Pegasus settlement atop a remote mountain, she discovers her lost father imprisoned and helps him escape. They are attacked by a strange creature. As Daring evades its attacks, she tries to uncover its origin and figure out how to stop it.
Daring-Do and the Wooden Mask: Daring-Do's assistant Herpy purchases a tribal mask while accompanying her on a trip, little knowing that it's part of Ahuizotl's plan to turn Daring-Do to the dark side.
Daring-Do and the Platinum Crown: Daring-Do's sister Derring-Do challenges her to a race to see who first complete the only quest that their parents were never able to finish: the search for the legendary Platinum Crown.
Daring-Do and the Gardens of Equestria: Daring stumbles upon a previously unknown valley full of life in the otherwise barren Himineighen Mountains, but its Gardener does not take kindly to animals intruding on his verdant paradise.
Daring-Do and the Alicorn's Shadow: Has Daring truly found the legendary battlefield where Celestia defeated and banished Nightmare Moon? And does some trace of the evil mare still linger?
Daring-Do and the Cove of Candles: Daring-Do embarks on a quest to recover the legendary pirate treasure of Three-Legged-Blackmane.
Daring-Do and the Trident of the Seaponies: While on a trip to study ancient civilizations with her class, Daring gets involved in one of Ahuizotl's plots and must find out more about her parents and what happened to the seaponies if she is to survive.
Daring-Do and the Temple of Nightmare Moon: Ahuizotl attempts to use the artifacts he has collected to draw on Nightmare Moon's power, and cast Equestria into eternal night.
Daring-Do and the Legacy of Nightmare Moon: Daring-Do discovers that the Dragon Inti is plotting to use the power of the stars to take over Equestria and must track down the remnants of Nightmare Moon's power to stop him. Notable for being the only book in the series to be a direct sequel (to Temple of Nightmare Moon) as well as being the only non-prequel book that doesn't include Ahuizotl.
Daring-Do and the Shrine of the Silver Monkey: While on vacation with her family, Daring-Do hears about a series of mysterious disappearances at a nearby shrine. When she investigates, she finds that an old enemy is behind it.
Daring-Do and the Staff of Star Swirl the Bearded: Daring recruits her old rival Bravado to help her track down and assemble pieces of an ancient Wizard's legendary staff in time for a Solar Eclipse that will supposedly grant awesome power to its wielder.
Daring-Do and the Trials Of Unity: Derring-Do returns to Daring-Do with a most peculiar item: a map leading to a treasure that can only be discovered by siblings. The trials that guard the enigmatic treasure will put the sisters' already uneasy relationship to the ultimate test.
Daring-Do and the Spear of the Windigos: Newly appointed member of the Royal Canterlot University Department of Equinology is sent on her first field assignment to excavate a old unicorn castle that may have ties to her long lost parents. As the sweet and mild bookworm fumbles her way through her first dangers, she may get more then she bargained for...
Daring-Do and the Ring of the Marengeti: Daring is captured by one of Ahuizotl's minions and Herpy must track down an artifact all on his lonesome in order to trade it for her safety. Little is Herpy aware that the ring is the key to releasing a creature with power monstrous enough to wipe the planet clean of all life...
There's also mentions of the Expanded Universe, radio adaptations, stage adaptations, movie adaptations and an arcade. None of which exist.
I think I was the only one underwhelmed by the new episode.
I liked the concept behind the episode and had nothing against the predictability some complain about, but the humor and characterization of Twilight felt way off. One of the things I like least about season 2 (and overall I love the season) is how so many parts involving Twilight just reuse the same old "She'd OCD and makes lists and schedules for everything" bit. I liked it in Lesson Zero; it added something new. But I'm completely tired of it now, and the only way I will come to appreciate this episode more because of that is if the ending means they officially killed that quirk and will finally explore other facets of her character. I was also annoyed with Rainbow Dash and Spike trolling Twilight like that, and the ice cream thing got old too. I dunno. Usually even a below average episode for me is due to a lack of things I like, but this is a rare case where there were things that really bothered me.
That said, everything Pinkie Pie did was awesome, and references to Cereberus and Tartarus were cool (although Fluttershy handling it exactly like with the manticore was a little eh).
I'm currently debating whether I love this more than I've loved any single thing in my entire life, or just a whole lot. I'm leaning towards the first...

And on a different note. Guess what else I made today:
I promise hopefully more substantial PMVs in the future. But this is me trying out my hand. Hopefully it isn't blocked yet.

It's basically a character sheet, analysis of the entire plot, discussion and a list of fanfiction for the Daring Do book series. (Reminder: Daring Do is the adventurer pony from Read It And Weep.) Which doesn't really exist.
