Thanks. That's mostly when I doodle and stuff. Instead of doing a pre-composition and then tracing it over on a separate page like a proper person should, I just do it all at once. It makes for some rough, but quick and nice sketches.
I can't wait to get my tablet, because then I would actually be able to sketch as refined as I want.
Heh, I don't trace to a separate sheet of paper, either. I just try to draw light, then either ink it or turn it into a shaded pencil sketch.
Then again, I've been tracing a few of my pics with Paint.NET lately, too. I'll post a couple here...
These are mostly practice, but they came out pretty good, I think. I shrank them down for use in my sig.
(And let's NOT have the Paint.NET vs. Photoshop vs. Illustrator debate. I use PDN because it's free and simple.)
Also, the original drawings. Yes, the png images are smaller because I shrink the picture before I trace it in PDN.
I see the thread got buried again... I really do NOT want to have 2 or 3 consecutive posts on here, so please, PLEASE, somebody else post here once in a while!
Ooh, I'm excited to see this thread! Hi everyone!
Anywhoooo, I've got a few drawings I'm considering posting, I'm hoping/assuming quadrupeds are alright here? I have pictues of bipeds too, but mostly quads for the time being.

Hello and welcome!
I approve of quadrupeds, provided they're Safe For Work (no porn, gore, etc. Just keep it clean!). If they're fantasy or cartoony, that would be a plus as well. "Anthro" means "human motivations and emotions applied to non-human characters". So technically, My Little Pony counts, for example (but please, keep ponies on the Pony Thread).
Just a heads-up, don't dump them all at once! Do a couple a day. We need regular posters to keep the thread going!
Speaking of quadrupeds...
And another bipedal character:
I've decided to pretty much upload 60% of my art to DeviantArt, so I will have stuff to post for quite a while, provided the thread actually gets rolling. I don't want to turn this into my personal art gallery.
Thank you for the kind welcome! Also, your style is really cute!
I guess I'll start by posting this thing? It's just a doodle really, but I think it turned out all right.
EDIT: Fixed. It worked fine when I posted it, no clue what happened.
Thank you for the kind welcome! Also, your style is really cute!

Looks like you'll need to repost that pic, the link's broken. Unless you fixed it while I'm posting.
Anyway, glad you like my stuff! I try to go a bit cuter than the "standard" anthro stuff, I prefer cartoony myself.
And always glad to see new posters and artists. I'll check back later on that link, I want to see what you did!
Here's a pic for the afternoon:
I'm in the process of flooding DA with my images. I'll have PLENTY to post once we get rolling a bit.
And I usually lurk the MLP thread, so if you're here and want to have a discussion (feel free to start a topic, we need some), or there's a bunch of people on, don't hesitate to send me a PM. It might take me a little bit to get back to you, though, since I'm not always at my computer when I'm logged on.
Man, that is really cool!
And it's awesome it looks like we'll be getting another regular poster soon! I really hope they fix that image link, I want to see the picture!
Also, somehow, I am King of the Furry Thread. This will be my 33rd post. Dethrone me if you can, haha!
Is it possible to crash deviantArt by submitting too much? I'm at 306 submissions already... about 200 more to go, maybe, I haven't counted. I just upload.
Seriously, if we could get some discussion going, and like 2 or 3 people in here at once actively, I would lurk here. I'm trying to get some people from the MLP thread interested, I figured we could get Melsaran back in here, but I guess not...
Thank you for the kind welcome! Also, your style is really cute!

EDIT: Fixed. It worked fine when I posted it, no clue what happened.
That's working now, and it's pretty cool. Not sure if it counts as "furry", but I like it anyway. As for the link not working, well, the forum be crazy at times.
OK you guys are quiet. Here are some Minecraft skins.
-snip-
Did you make those? If so, those are pretty good. I should post mine, but I'm too lazy to go though the work right now. Maybe another time. I have MCskin3D, and that has a camera feature I think. I have a few different anthro skins I made.
As for quiet, I really don't want to post without having other posts to respond to. I thought we has more people coming. I guess not...
And I finally got attacked by a hater on DA. I really shouldn't let him get to me, it was obviously a troll account looking to troll any recent submissions, but still. He just attacked me for being unoriginal and said "do us all a favor and stop posting". With a name like "Hater-of-Furries" and no avatar pic or legitimate criticism, obviously a troll. But it still bugs me a bit.
Anyway, the pic in question. Admittedly, not the best, or most creative, but still.
And something newer and a little bit better.
Maybe if it gets to the point where nobody has posed for over a day, I'll come back to bump or something. I've just been busy uploading to DA, mostly. I should be done tomorrow or the next day if all goes well, and anything put up from then on would be new stuff I drew this year.
Hello I just read, watched and looked at everything on this thread took about an hour. It seems interesting but I've got questions But I think I will mainly ask AJ though, no offence Lord Dominic.

None taken. I'm not really a serious "furry" anyway, as you can probably tell. Better to talk to the more knowledgeable people.
Although, if they are questions that could be asked in the thread, we could use the discussion. Unless it's of a private, personal, or NSFW nature, that is.
Still, not passing up an opportunity to respond, bump, and post another pic.
Hell again all! I'm pretty excited to see what ArcticFox has to say, but in the meantime, here's another picture. More standard "furry," as opposed to that shadow-bug thing.
In all honesty, this was just a concept sketch. Originally, he was one of four designs for a forum game. He was supposed to be something of a joke, with the other three being serious designs, but the overwhelming majority of people voted for this one. So I did this sketch to try and nail down some details. I'm changing his eyes quite a bit, but overall, I think this will do?
I'd really love it if anyone were to offer criticism on this!

Strange, the link didn't work until I quoted you. What image hosting thing are you using? Anyway, I can see it now.
I'm not sure what kind of advice or critique to offer. I don't like to discourage anyone who is trying to develop their own personal style. I will say personally, I don't care for the colors myself. I tend to favor more "natural" colors, but that's just me. Aside from that, the design looks pretty solid. Could use a little more detailing. I'm also not entirely sure what the pose is, but I'm thinking looking over shoulder, like drawn from behind. If that's the case, maybe draw in like a line down the spine or something, draw it scruffy like fur. Maybe some simple spots or stripes on the back, too. Just play with ideas and see what works for you.
Don't take any of what I said to be discouraging. Like I said, you appear to be developing your own personal style, and I don't want to interfere with that. Just a bit of feedback, since you asked.
Also, pretty much done assaulting DA with my art. I have 544 pics up now, and only like 15 more good enough to post but I'll do that later.
Have art:
Ah, you make some great points! I think I'll give him a gazelle stripe down his back? I also agree with you on the colors, but sadly, that one wasn't really my decision, it was put to vote, and neon won. ^.^'
Also, I've been hosting on Photobucket, but I'm tempted to just put it on my website instead. I'm not exactly using much of my bandwidth.

Sounds good, actually. A bit more detailing would be a plus, and a stripe would be the perfect addition. As for the color scheme, if it was voted on, then you're kinda stuck on that. It's not bad, just not my personal taste.
I really should wait to post, but I wanted to have my thoughts here in case you came back soon.
Hmm I can't remember any questions right now (I've been busy), all I can can think of saying right now is that I'm quite new to the Furry Fandom. I'm also improving my art/design etc of furies also i can;t think of a fursona although i know it could take a while. I think it's just going to be a wolf nothing crossed (I know lots of people pick wolves but i like them alot). But i just can't think of his colors I am still trying to find out how i wan't everything on him to look like eg his tail, feet, head hair stuff like that I'll post more stuff later but right now i can't think for some reason and i have to do an auto biography :sleep.gif: but yeah see ya all later :smile.gif:
PS: I do know quite a bit about the furry fandom so no info needed about it unless i ask. Also will you add this to the front page? http://www.anthrocon.org/ .Anthrocon is the world's largest convention for those fascinated with anthropomorphics, which are humanlike animal characters. We are a collection of artists, animators, writers, costumers, puppeteers, and just everyday fans who enjoy cartoon animals and their kin. Membership is open to any and all who like to imagine what it would be like if animals could walk and talk as we do. Oh and I'm 13 Yeah pretty young oh well

Looks a hell of a lot better than the drawing I did!
I'm just bad at that particular style, sorry.
Speaking of drawings, since someone broke my posting streak, here's a pic.
