I dunno about you guys, but when i was a kid that was MY show. Ahh, the nostalgia. What happened to the good old spongebob?
Edit: No its not the fact that im older. The older episodes were funny. Genuinely funny. They had jokes for older kids, heck even adults. Now it feels like good old spongebob is made for 6 year olds. For shame!
Everything changed after the movie came out. I hope that the series reaches an end soon.

I'd have to say that the more recent episodes of Spongebob aren't as entertaining as I remembered the show to be. I also agree that the show's declined in quality after the movie, as the older episodes are pretty great. Band Geeks anyone?
If there's anything I learned from being in marching band when I was in high school, it's that Band Geeks hit the nail right on the head when it comes to what marching band practice is generally like.
"Against all the evil that Hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce; We will send unto them... only you."
Colored text indicates in-character statements/actions. Because Forum Games has basically just been a big open RP for a long time now and it's the only place I ever post anymore, when I post at all.

And that just makes it an even better episode.
Yeah. Characters used to be some what relate able. Now all the characters are either to stupid or to weird. Spongebob used to be sophisticated! Remember his library?

It's because the creator, Stephen Hillburg, wanted the show to end at the movie, but the producers thought it was a bad idea because the show was such a hit. They kept making the show, but Stephen Hillburg left, and that's why it wasn't the same after the movie.

I have honestly never seen a thread that I have related so much too. Ever.
But, back to the discussion, yeah. I definitely miss the old spongebob. The animations were just, more friendly. Now the animation in my opinion is very cheesy, not to mention the writing. I feel like when Stephen Hillburg left, he took the amazing Nickelodeon that we once knew with him.
I have been watching spongebob for my whole dang life. The old and new episodes are great. He was better when he first came out, but the show started to go down when they redesigned the characters. Personaly i love the ripped pants episode and the movie.
And, nick is not going to end the show anytime soon, it's their biggest money maker.
Spongebob is one of the (or is) greatest cartoons I have ever seen. It's hilarious and will always be there somewhere in my heart! My personal favourite episode would be Survival of the Idiots, when Spongbob and Patrick are trapped in Sandy's treedome while shes hibernating. "Who ya' calling pinhead?"

I hate the new one.

Flanderization at its finest.

No Patrick, mayonnaise is not an instrument.

Do instruments of torture count?

I'm Dirty Dan.
I once heard someone say you could fight off the Ender Dragon with sticks. He was the smartest person I have ever met.
