In the end, it's just spam.
People continue to like who they like, idiots get offended or change their views and the comments section gets slightly clogged.
It doesn't change any sane person's opinion and it just inspires people to generate more spam asking them to stop.
What would be great is if most of the youtubers got on a video Skype call or something, addressed eachother by name, and basically told everyone to shut the fark up.
EDIT: Also, some posts here are dedicated entirely/mostly to saying shtuff like, "X annoys me," or, "It would be better without Y." Add something to this conversation pretty pliss.
This thread is just begging to start a flame war between fans, too.
I think that's part of the problem. Even though there's no real reason to get into any fuss about it, some fans get really heated over these types of things. So then, one person calls a youtuber a copycat, a fan of theirs tries to defend, another fan of the other guy flames on that guy, and so on. If we could all just chill out it'd be fine, but I don't see that happening... haha.

Yeah, just try to ignore the trolls, don't feed them.
The copycat ware needs to stop its getting quite retarded.
So who cares if X plays this game first then Y does the same one?
Does it really freaking matter?
OT:
In off topic news anyone getting tired of seeing those comments on minecraft videos about how the person playing is gay and should play COD and cod only?
I dont like the stupid fanboys hating on eachother. But one of the things that irritates the heck out of me, is that pewdiepie fans show up everytime someone mentions barrels in their video. They call people barrels like it is an insult, but the worst part is that pewdiepies fans claim that pewdiepie invented "bro" and "brofist".
At the end of "Shadow of the Colossus", PewdiePie annoyed the hell out of me so bad, that I punched the unsubscribe button and broke my monitor.
Dramatic and sad endings should NEVER be played while commentating.
Related to the post, PewdiePie fans are so selfish. On the forums, they never look at other people's creations. Only the admins look at them to approve and decline suggestions to Pewdie.
PewdiePie fans are the most selfish, obnoxious and ignorant fans.
I think this video addresses the problem well:
I really don't understand why people claim that YouTubers copy each other. It would be reasonable if they said the same catchphrase but playing the same game? Really? YouTube Comments Section, you disappoint me.
The problem is that they can't moderate their own fanbase. I've seen how that have failed. The worst case was the one time when CaptainSparklez was running for King of the Web and people were harassing LindseyStomp. He posted multiple times, addressing them to stop, but it still continues. I don't know about famous YouTubers, but if I was famous and I had a famous friend, and our fanbases hated each other, it would be a very awkward situation.

I actually am a pewdiepie fan myself but this is a problem too not all of us are selfish and preticipate in flame wars. I actually look at other people videos all the time and it not like I just love pewdiepie I like smosh,Tobuscus, skydoesminecraft,Raywilliamjhonson and tons others. I do think flame wars are stupid and all of this copying crap It's all messed up. But the people who do this are just immature kids or adults with out life's the only thing we can really do is ignore these comments. But what I really hate is how they make fan bases look bad and make other people hate eachother when we should be hating the trollers.

That's because most of his fans are quite young.
I'd imagine a lot of younger people being attracted to Pewdiepie's kind of humor.
Which is also why more mature people don't like his videos, as they are made for a younger audience.
Most young people (Around 12 years old) are selfish, obnoxious and ignorant. Of course not everyone around the age of 12 are like that, but quite a lot of them are, based on my experiences.
I can't completely agree with that.
Especially the whole "Everyone who makes videos about a popular game are massive s" part is something that seems a bit overreacted-hipsterness to me.
Your friend says he made a video of Slender, which he later regretted because the game got popular. Please!
He liked the game (and his own videos of it), until more videos started poping up and then it all of the sudden sucks because it went "mainstream". He sounds a bit like an overreacting hipster to me.
There are thousands of Minecraft videos on Youtube, but there are still a lot that I enjoy.
Now that I think about it, I almost completely disagree with that video.
If a new game is released that is fun to watch people play, of course there are going to pop up a lot of videos about it. Why would you be upset about that? I honestly can't understand that.
This I agree on. ^
He calls others and yet, he plays games that have become mainstream. Hippocrite is what I call him.
Maybe it's just pewdiepies fanbase and all similar users fanbases are full of a bunch of immature brats that have nothing better to do but go around posting comments like that on youtube starting a flamewar, and trying to get the fanbase riled up so they can get attention, or look cool for trolling.
Also, honestly the whole copyright thing is bs, if you could get flagged for playing the same game as another popular person you would have all the gaming channels closed down because at least one of the games they have played someone else has too.
Probably some stupid video of him flipping out over Amnesia.
I'm finally back. See profile for details.
People who fight over this copying crap are complete idiots.

Are we...
Are we all DONE now?
Nothing gets more ironic then people defending one's "copyright" over something involving an already copyrighted asset.
