If you didnt know already, I'm a big fan a Kaiju stuff (dont judge me) and I grew up watching the old Godzilla movies. When I heard that is was coming out I was extremly excited. I was wondering if you guys were excited also? I will update this topic once new info about the movie is released.
Current Intel On The Movie:
The movie will be released in 2014 and will feature a new centipede monster (something like Kamacaris?).
Filming im Hawaii had just ended right be for this years ComicCon. Offical picture from last years ComicCon can be found here.

"At WonderCon 2013, del Toro expressed enthusiasm for a potential crossover between Pacific Rim and Godzilla—another Legendary Pictures kaiju film—but stressed that no such plans were in place."
Not really hyped for it after the wreck known as Godzilla (1998).

I don't think that is the confirmed design. Legendary said that there where a few designs, and that ones like that where like the actual design but a little different.

My excitement for this movie is more than just ecstatic. When I was little my dad had a shelf filled with VHS tapes of different Godzilla movies, of course I ended up watching them all during long summer visits while he was away at work. Sure, it was not your typical kind of movie you might think a young girl to be watching, but it hooked me. My uncle use to joke on me as whenever I saw a lizard (the area I lived in at the time had plenty of them) I would point and yell, "Godzilla, Godzilla!" Even to the point of my first pet being an iguana, which of course I named Godzilla. An odd collection of my toys, barbies, a barbie car, and a Godzilla toy that could fit in the barbie car. Yes it was a bit odd but I loved the movies, hated the shows, and during visits to my grandparents later on in life (they knowing I had loved Godzilla when I was younger) only had the 1998 american movie. Of course I even watched that daily.
So when you ask me if I'm excited for the new movie coming up? Damn straight I am.
