Alternative Rock, Rock, Punk Rock, Grime, Electronica, Dubstep, Trance, and Classical. Classical when I do work, Rock when I'm in a good mood, Dubstep/Electronica/Trance/Grime when I'm PO'd, playing video games, or whatever.
I dabble between rock and electronic.
I've been noticing a lot lately that tons of people like classic, where as I hate it. I realized there must be ALOT of people who do. So here I am, wondering what types of music people like.
Dubstep (Liquid Stranger type dubstep), Rock (Rob Zombie type rock), some classical stuff, like Hans Zimmer (He effing ROCKS). And NO mainstream radio music... ugh.

You want a spoiler? Fine. Darth Vader is Lukes father, Harry Potter dies, and Bruce Willis is the ghost in the 6th Sense. Happy?
Electronic/Electronica/New Age Electronic/New Age/Trance[of varying types that I bother not to keep myself aware of]
Primarily.
I have fleeting interests in Classical and Pop of non English genre specifically Caramell and Utada Hikaru. Of course there also are random songs of multiple genres that I enjoy.
Examples:
Electronic(A): Imogen Heaps Ellipse/Speak for Yourself albums.
New Age: John Hopkins Opalescence/Contact Note albums.
New Age Electronica: Telepopmusiks Angel Milk album.
Trance: Goa/D&B things that don't involve lyrics mostly the best kind being dark, hard and fast rhythms.
I consider music more intimately than others, I don't often enjoy listening to music as a background feature and I see it a conduit of focus for my soul or attention. Music through headphones helps me relax, think, and work on more tedious tasks.
It is not unlike me to simply remove myself from the world to enjoy music, my favorite song:
What is it I feel when I listen to this song? Euphoria? Perhaps it is love? It lifts me up spiritually, I feel only the emotion I cannot express in words when it is I and this song alone. I listen to this song, and it makes me feel raw emotion, So strongly I felt tears on my face the first I'd listened to it in solitude. Tears of what? Sadness? Joy? I could not say, only that I feel all the wonder and tragedy of the universe unanimously within this song. It whispers to me the secrets of beauty and art in it's breath only to be forgotten come songs end.
Electronica and hardstyle pretty much seems to be the only music that really expresses my pumped up side.
The only other music I listen to is metal but only when Im really aggravated.

I have quite a varied music taste. I love Progressive/Electro House, Trance, Dubstep, Classical and a little more mainstream stuff such as Adele for example.
Really depends on the mood or what I am doing and what music fits best!
