I'm currently reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skleet. haven't picked up recently though. It's not because it's bad, it's just that, I don't want to read it is all.
I've read some of the Edge Chronicles like someone else here, and I've also read that series with the population law....
I've recently finished the Sword of Truth series, but now am reading 'The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever'
The thing is, every page I need to look up multiple words :L
I hated that book when I read it in highschool. It's just so damn hard trying to connect with the characters, or to get immersed in the story when the characters are completely two dimensional.
Right now I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath, and although it's for school I'm actually enjoying it. I tend to find pleasure in reading classic novels that founded modern literature, for there are so many allusions to books in our daily life that are completely missed.
However, for general recreation I tend to be involved in Fantasy/Sci-Fi. The Inheritance Series is my current favorite, and right now I'm reading the Iron Elves series.

I've simultaneously been reading George R. R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice series, which I highly recommend to any mature reader who likes fantasy.
Credits to PouncingWolf for this awesome signature!
Great choice, I read that in a weekend, it was very well written and had a great moral in my opinion.

(Note: It's not an actual book in that it's printed and published)
Just finished reading Animal Farm by George Orwell, also a really good read.

hi
I absolutely love The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy!
It has to be the most random, yet entertaining book/series I've ever encountered.
And it also taught me the significance of a towel.
After that I will most likely read The Lord Of The Rings books. And The Hobbit.
Quite a nice book, especially if you love fantasy and magic.
