People are gonna rage at me, but I started watching doctor who this new series, and when I went back to watch the Tennant stuff, it wasn't the same! Not that he wasn't good at his part, he was excellent.

Don't worry, I told people to be respectful, remember? And most people who enjoy Dr Who are probably the type who would respect people's opinion anyways.
IMO the older episodes where much better than what is being made now.
my favorite doctors where in order from greatest to worst: Tom Baker,
Sylvester McCoy, Jon Pertwee, Patrick Troughton, William Hartnell, Peter Davison,
Colin Baker, Paul McGann, David Tennant, Christopher Eccleston, Matt Smith
These are all the actors who played as Doctor Who. :smile.gif:
Thanks, maybe I'll start up watching the originals. Steampunk!
Also has anyone here seen Torchwood? I want to start watching it to hold me off till the new season starts in September.
That's the only one I remember now that doesn't require the unique voice the doctor of the series had...
Ahhh I just started watching that series (in america its hard to get) and that was the latest episode I saw and it scared the crap outta me. :smile.gif:
I like matt smith alot, more than I thought I would but the new series was just dissapointing after the first two episodes. Tennant was still the best doctor, showing all sides of a well rounded personality instead of matt smiths just silly personality with some anger thrown in now and then. Matt smith on the whole is definiately more fun to watch though.
I disliked russel T davie's story telling, I liked some of his episodes, but most of them felt like a soap opera and I found myself skipping some of them. Replacing him with Steven (or is it Stephen moffat?) was a smart decision in my opinion.
I haven't seen older ones, only the new series. I only watched seasons 1-5 because I do not know where to watch season 6 episodes online and my netflix doesn't have season 6 yet.
Is there any specific older episodes that are really good I should look at?

One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"

There's a really good one with Chris Eccleston and some kid in a gas mask... the 'Are you my Mommy' one... I forget what it's called though... help me out guys??
The Empty Child. Googled it.
First, Doctor Who is NOT new. Second, Neospector guy, it was "Are you my Mummy?" Obviosly due to the Empty Child's English nationality. But hey, good to see some Whovians out there. I recently ordered some things, one of which includes the Empty Child. Note that the Empty Child is a sketch in the Journal of Impossible things. Ha! I do appreciate, and always will.
Doctor Who is a television show from Britain that follows the life of a (i believe) 925 year old alien named The Doctor (not doctor who as many people believe he is called) from the planet Gallifrey, who is from a race known as the Time Lords, which he is the last of. Basically he travels around in his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) which is a time machine that can also travel through space. Basically meaning he can be in Ancient Rome one minute and (for the purposes of right now) Alderaan the next.Who would win in a fight: Weeping Angels or The Silence? The killer who must be observed at all times otherwise it will kill you? Or the killer who can delete itself from your very memories?
