I hate Reddit because they've got the killing of humor down to a production-line standard of efficiency. Seriously, the way they systematically beat jokes into the ground makes one think that the site's sole purpose is to grind any sense of originality or wit out of every single morsel it sucks into its massive gullet.
Case-in-point: Arrow to the knee.
Reddit killed that **** in a day; as soon as the not-so-funny catchphrase found its way into one of the sub-reddits it got spammed to hell. Every single top comment on Youtube for weeks was some variation of "i used 2 be X but den i took a arrow 2 da nee xDDDDDD" no matter how much it didn't fit in with the actual content of the video.
The same goes for anything else Reddit takes even a remote liking to, the "Ragefaces" in particular being hammered into every single conceivable medium and sold for a profit -despite how unfunny they've become
But I think the absolute worst thing about all of this is the attitude in which it's done. Despite how ****ing oversaturated internet "culture" is with all of this ****, the people who continue to spout it day-in day-out still have a sense of belonging to a secret club of some kind. It's ridiculous.
I've had other human beings sit down next to me and in hushed voices ask me if I go to Reddit. Like it's some ****ing underground movement, that if we're caught the Thought Police will break in and throw black-bags over our heads.

9gag was where the meme oversaturated actually. And you act like Reddit ALONE was the cause of its spread.

Have you read the OP? Ragefaces are against the rules there.

I'm in a love hate tango with Reddit right now. I started using the /r/minecraft when I first discovered the site, and after lurking for a while, started actually posting.
Long story short, whole reddit community gave me -40 link Karma for sometimes putting "-Lukis" at the end of my posts when there was long posts. While it wasn't the most needed thing, I admit, every single post I made, no matter the subject, got downvoted a **** ton, to where it was "below threshold", and you would have to click 'show' just to see the comment in the first place. Every single one.
So I ended up lurking for a while after that, made some posts on /r/skyrim for a while, no problems (dropped the signature, said **** it). Lurked more, then started posting some more on /gaming, and /askreddit, no problems for a while.
Then I made one sarcastic post on /askreddit, and got I think -13, again below threshold, for really no reason, other then 'This is a serious thread, which your sarcasm isn't needed'. It was a thread titled "What was your 'oh ****, we're poor' moment, Reddit?" Post >.>, and I posted "I only got $700 for Christmas this year, like, what the ****?".
I've seen this happen to other redditors, for no real reason. The reddit community seems like a bunch of pent-up people, who like they're reddits with these posts, and nothing out of the lines. Reddit can bury links for no reason, because of the ****ed up voting system. Reddit can be harsh.
That being said, I soemtimes lurk /gaming, or /askreddit if I'm pretty bored, but am growing to hate the site a bit more now.
TL;DR, Reddit community is pretty shitty imo.

Why hello there, you can call me Lukis =) Nice to meet you.
I'm on Reddit every day. You're much more likely to meet people you enjoy talking to there rather than, say, 4chan. I just recently picked up a design job from r/forhire. It's all about how you use it.
-goddawful meme humour
-terrible taste in music (queen aren't that good, really, they're not)
-confusing layout
1. Memes are restricted to their respective subreddits. If you don't want to see memes, unsubscribe from those subreddits.
2. That's subjective.
3. That's subjective.
It happens on all sites. The difference about reddit is that the power is given to every user to decide what is seen and what is not seen. I prefer things to be unfiltered, especially when the filter is what other people like.
Because they Don't know how to use reddit, they think everywhere on reddit is one so if there is a troll somewhere else on reddit, they think its everywhere, like /r/google trolls stay in well /r/google, so why don't they just leave /r/google that's better right? And meme humor they can just ignore, there is an unsubscribe button to subreddits to which you do not like! There's no good reason to hate reddit.

Too mamy achievement signatues, this isn't really a joke but it's true!
Activating Ejection System... Ejecting the crazy psycho in the back of the house...
Also this topic is nearly two years old, was there really a need to bring it back up?

"Against all the evil that Hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce; We will send unto them... only you."
Colored text indicates in-character statements/actions. Because Forum Games has basically just been a big open RP for a long time now and it's the only place I ever post anymore, when I post at all.
Reddit is pretty much what you make it to be. You get to choose what communities you are a part of.
That being said, however:
1) The comments that are most likely to be seen are the ones that everyone agrees with. This often results in a giant circle-jerk where any conflicting opinions are buried beneath a mountain of popular opinions.
2) The egos. Oh god, the egos.
3) Sometimes mods and admins of subreddits are a buncha dinguses.
I do like reddit. But it's a totally different experience than a forum.
I use /nosleep because /nosleep is interesting sometimes. I wrote a story and it got rated up and I felt happy and it was fun. Anyone who blatantly bashes on either 4chan or Reddit is just ignorant, only getting their facts from 3rd party sources. They think /b/ is the only board and all boards are like /b/, in 4chan's case, while in reality that's far from the truth.
Like saying this forum is bad because one hears that there's a lot of people asking for dating tips here. Same thing.
Also this topic is nearly two years old, was there really a need to bring it back up?
I really need to start reading those start dates.

Absolutely.
Anyone that bashes on pedophiles just hasn't tried the sweet succulents of youth.
Have you even visited the place? That's not how the downvote moderation works.
Your lack of ability to be serious in a discussion and give coherent arguments is not pleasant. I won't continue this if you keep with that.

It's stupid and pretentious.

I now see you didn't read the OP... See links
No it wasn't Reddit was ground zero for that ****, see the section: "spread"
Oh **** really? We better report this entire subreddit which appears in the first result when you search for "Reddit:"
Oh no, I read it; it was just flat out wrong about everything I posted.
And I saw the links -which don't really disprove that Reddit has begun to manufacture unfunny memes at a hideous rate and merchandise them.
Of course not.
I'm glad you feel it necessary to put yourself in such a position.

Why go to Reddit when you can go to /tg/?
After all, /tg/ is one of the only uncorrupted boards on 4chan.
There's actually quite a few "uncorrupted" boards, e.g. /ic/, /an/, /fit/, /ck/ etc.

Implying all of 4chan and reddit support pedophiles.
