As a kid, I loved making flip books. They were all I did in art class, whenever I had it. I worked really hard on one particular flip book. It was around 50 pages long, I guess. It had a simple stick figure walking into the page, waving at me, and then walking off. I would look at it at least a dozen times the day that I made it. Then it got boring. You know how kids are, not entertained by one thing for very long. I tossed it under my bed and never gave it a second thought.
A few months later, I was cleaning up my room and swept the stack of paper out from under my bed. I couldn’t quite remember what it was. I flipped through it once and got a sweet taste of nostalgia. I flipped through it once more and noticed the pages hadn’t aged or gained dirty at all. I flipped through a third time. The little stick man walked onto the page, waved at me, but didn’t walk off.
Instead, a second stick man joined him. It waltzed up, having either an item in its hand or a severely disfigured arm; its not like anyone could tell the difference. The second stick man walked next to the first stick figure, stood there for a moment, then whacked the poor fellow upside the head. The stick figure fell, and the second stick man swung his stick at the other man. Again. And again. And again.
What I assume was its blood ran from the stick figure’s rather jagged body. It looked like nothing more than smeared pencil stains. The killer stick man proceeded to bend down, and tear apart the first stick man’s body, limb by thin limb. Once he was done, he bent each one into characters and letters. He set them upon the page to form a single word. He grabbed the base of his own round head and tore it off. Then he tore off his legs, and then one of his arms. His zig-zagged body parts formed themselves into a second word. What I read made me burn the flip book.

I was having a tough time sleeping tonight and decided to study the photo a bit more. I took it into photoshop and enhanced it and found a very interesting artifact above the “beckoning hand.” It appears to say “PO:” I really don’t understand what this could mean. This photo is full of mystery. I aim to keep digging deeper and get to the bottom of this story. ~Shad

The only two to ever give me chills: Portraits (guy in cabin) and the one with the guy in the hotel. all the other ones I have read are meh.
I like the short and sweet ones, not so much the loooooong drawn out ones.

After 10:30 PST, my IQ drops to around that of a shovel, please disregard anything I say after aforementioned time, it will likely not make any sense, and is best ignored.
I haven't read many, but the ones that have really stuck with me are Candle Cove (the one that's written in the form of a forum thread, about the show they used to watch as a kid) and the Majora's Mask one.
The ones that get me checking over my shoulder/corners when I see a shadow are Upstairs and Bad Dream. Man, I hate reading this **** but I like to give myself little scares once and awhile.
I'm scared very, very easily (I have no idea why I even came to this topic) but Squidward's Suicide seems to be scaring a lot of people. Anyone care to sum it up for me? I am a pansy. If not possible, I'm going to read it at a party or something with lots of people around.
Squidwards suicide is not scary. At all. Its basically an episode of spongebob that was never released. It starts with squidward playing his clarinet and everyone booing him. Then he goes home, starts crying. There's no sound. There's one fast frame. They rewind it. Its a little boy murdered. They keep watching. Squidward cries. Another graphic image of a dead girl. More crying. Then there's about 4 frames of a boy getting his guts pulled out. Then squidward shoots himeself. Apparently the video was edited like 24 seconds before everyone watched it. Everything in the story is very graphically described.
A girl is home alone with only her dog for company. Listening to the radio she hears of a serial killer on the loose, so she locks all the doors and windows and goes to bed, taking her dog to her room with her and letting it sleep under her bed. She wakes in the night and can hear a dripping sound in her room, the bedside lamp won't work and she is too scared to get out of bed to turn in the main light. She hides under the covers but to reassure herself that the dog is still under the bed she puts her hand down and feels the dog lick her. She lays awake for some time listening to the dripping sound and periodically puts her hand down to where she can hear the dog breathing and each time it gently licks her fingers. Eventually she falls back asleep. She wakes in the morning, lifts the covers and to her horror she sees her dog hanging by its collar from the ceiling light, it's stomach slit open and its intestines hanging down still dripping blood onto the floor, on the wall smeared in the dog's blood is the phrase, "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO"
I actually thought that was funny. I'm 13 BTW.

I hate everybody on page 7 of this thread who just quoted the "go to sleep" picture. I almost had a nervous breakdown, I had to scroll through it so many times.
I recommend "The Holder" and "The Statue" to anybody that wants something mildly scary but not really disconcerting. They're similar to the Portrait story.
I only accidentaly saw the eyes. It wasn't even in a spoiler! >

Retired StaffThat one is my favorite. Only one I've read that actually scared me.
The others I like are Squidward's Suicide and Candle Cove. The 'thing wearing mommy's skin' one was good too.
