It's off to a great start! Keeps the same animation style as the original airbender series. The humor is still there (the first episode actually trolls us about Zuko's mom like 8 minutes into it) and Tenzin is already the best character. While the city's name is generic as hell, everything else is pretty original. I'm not sure how I feel about Korra having already mastered three of the elements in episode one and then already somewhat mastering the 4th by episode two, but maybe it's for the best since we already saw Ang go through them in the original series.
It seems things are progressing faster than Avatar because Korra was only approved for one season or something. So it seams that we'll get nothing but plot-related episodes and no fillers, which is a good thing IMO.
That means less content overall, and the fillers in Avatar ranged from bearable to enjoyable. It doesn't matter too much though as the first two episodes were great. I like Korra as a character, and the show seems to possess some of the charm of its predecessor. Tinzen is also great.
Finally, something else I can watch on TV besides MLP.

Ian Graham and I have worked together for many years, starting back in our formative days on the insane production of Invader Zim. He was a storyboard artist on all three seasons of Avatar, then he came back as storyboard supervisor on Book 1 of Korra, and now he is a director on Book 2.
I don't understand something. Tenzin (Tinzen?) stated that, for the Avatar, it's normally difficult for them to master the element that is most opposite of their personality. But I swear in the original series it was merely their opposite element, which should make Korra's hard-to-master element fire, not air. Am I mistaken, or did they do a switch on us?

Well maybe Aang told Tenzin different things for some reason.
Finally! Watching it now. Thoughts?

Because they changed the premiere date to Saturday, March 24th, which is today.
I greatly enjoyed Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I've waited so long for Korra to air. I hope it still holds the charm avatar did.

A second season was confirmed by Bryan Konietzko, actually.
26 episodes only sounds like 1 season
Can find any place showing a decent quality copy of the shows. :<
Website in OP no longer exists.
Viacom is a *****

Well, considering Avatar's great success, I wouldn't be surprised if more episodes of Korra were ordered.
