Characters that wear extremely unconvincing disguises but everyone acts like they're fooled. This works only in some comedies, but nowhere else.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
Is no one going to mention Roger from American Dad?
Well at least the character is unique in the way that he's always wearing something different in each episode as opposed to the cliche of cartoon characters wearing the same exact clothing.

To be fair, the Sixth Sense, The Visit, and Signs were pretty good movies, especially the Sixth Sense. It's just that movies like Avatar and After Earth that were terribly done. He's better off sticking to horror than trying to make movies out of shows and books, and anything that wouldn't relate to horror or thriller.
Shyamalan just tries way too hard to add twists and mindbenders to his movies, so it just comes out very dorky and convoluted.

Please, no. That rarely ever works. Thank christ they cancelled the BioShock movie. People need to learn to be original and do their own thing instead of farting out these cheap copies.

That wasn't a direct copy though, it was an original premise around the idea of video games.
I do not know of a single direct copy of a video game that made a good movie. Hitman was crap, The Super Mario Bros movie was crap, The Tomb Raider Movies were crap, and I'm pretty sure there are some Game Theories around why thy fail.

I did want to say that while it wasn't directly about one particular game, it used it as a theme to express a completely different plot and lesson. But that's the problem, you can't follow the same set up like Wreck It Ralph did for an actual game, say a Bioshock Movie. If you are just borrowing elements from the game, then it's not exactly related to the game in anyway. But if you follow the game completely, it's not the same as if you were to actually play the game. Game Theorist covers this topic about why video game movies are bad pretty well.
Can't directly place in a Youtube frame because my internet is slow and I'm tired.
Loud orchestral which every recent movie seems to use. It's so boring and ear-shredding.

-Movies that focus on 'other' things than they should, such as Godzilla 2014 and the rebooted Transformers movies. They're good, but could be so much better. Though I admit I'm a bit curious for the Godzilla sequel, namely to see Ghidorah and Rodan.
-Mediocre movies receiving too much praise. Looking at you Frozen.
-Movies receiving flak because they're different than others. (Atlantis the lost empire and Treasure Planet)
I'll be honest, I'm not much a movie person in the first place and I otherwise tend to think people nitpick too much or just simply find ways to complain.

Well, yeah, that is what this thread is for. So many nitpickers... XD
Slow motion that's done in a way where it looks strobey. That's so cheap looking, like someone edited a whole movie in Windows Movie Maker.

Don't you dare knock the Simpsons....

I like Shyamalan, leave him alone, Devil! He's my kind of convoluted dork.

Everybody knows Pixels is just an hipster cringefest.
