I currently have a cheap laptop, and I wanted to get the community's opinion on this computer build. Are there better offers for a good PC than this one? My spending limit is around $500, and I didn't want to waste my money on anything. I will be using this computer for other games like Skyrim, so performance is necessary.
This is also a good thread for general suggestions on Minecraft PC purchases, so that more people can benefit than just me.
How so? The CPU is fine for minecraft, and can be overclocked. Ram is fine at 8gb. Video Card is fine. Case is great, I own that case and it's pretty nice for the money. PSU is fine for a budget build.
And maybe like in a years time get an i5 and 8gb ram
Thats basically my build but with a worse case and PSU. Also you might as well spend the extra $11 and get 8gb of ram, as the mobo only has 2 ram slots.

Yeah...I'm actually gonna get your build with 8gb of ram. I didn't want to rush to buy a build and buy something stupid. Thanks for your help!

It would be more helpful to post ways to improve on the build than just criticize it in 3 words.
Thank you very much. This set looks perfect, and I am looking forward to purchasing it.

Overclock the pentium for best results. For minecraft a 260x is all you need. Z97 Board so you don't have to update the Bios
Waste of money

I'm gonna go with Alex's build unless there is some advantage to yours. And as I said, I will be playing higher quality games as well (like Skyrim).
