Volcanic Islands is coming out in October, so if you can afford to wait 2 months from now, the 9970 will be more solid than anything currently out, including the 780, while probably undercutting the 780.
I have another question, it says there's no price information on my video card http://ca.pcpartpick...o-card-100351sr
(btw, my preferred merchants are NCIX, CC and Newegg)
Where can I buy the video card now?
Wait until wednesday anyway because that's when they're announcing stuff for the volcanic islands (new graphics cards from AMD) so that might help decide whether it's worth waiting for them or just buying a 7970 now.
They have, kind of. Turns out, the new cards use the exact same architecture and are basically all rebrands except the highest-end card, which has a new GPU but still uses Southern Islands like the Radeon 7000 series.
There's no use waiting. AMD has failed, and will probably not announce VI for a few more months at the very least.
Every card except the "new" 290 series is a rebrand considering they first have this big thing about how CrossFire will work over solely PCIe and then every card except the flagship has a CrossFire bridge connector.
Well the deal on Ultrasharps has long gone, so does anybody know a 1080p 23" high quality screen under $250? Must be sold by Newegg canada, Canada Computers, or NCIX canada
Well the official dell store does those sales every week and they cycle through the monitors so next week the sale might be on again. When it does you can probably get any of those stores to price match if they don't do it automagically.
