A few days ago, whenever I typed something into the search bar in the top of the screen and pressed enter, it would go to a list of options and links for me to click on, unless I put something like .com or .net at the end. But now, whenever I search for something in the searchbar, it immediately tries to direct me to that website, even if it doesn't exist. What can I do to fix this? I'm using FireFox.

My best bet is you downloaded something that came with included "crapware" that changed your search engine settings.
Or you have malware that's also doing the same thing. Possibly even putting your internet through a proxy for monitoring/hacking.
Sounds like some kind of URL-autocomplete feature. I think Google Chrome has this too. Internet Explorer (at least version 9 and earlier) does not have this, but I'm not sure about v10.
