I really wouldn't get an EVGA graphics card, they have bad cooling, but yes, a 660ti should be around 300$. Although there are are AMD equivalents that are cheaper and better. I don't know much about mobo.
I just looked at some benchmarks, they are fairly close but one you turn up AA the 7950 pulls ahead.

And that's the point. 7870 can pretty much max everything at 1080 anyways, so I'd expect with anything higher you're going to be playing with AA turned up.
And that's where the Kepler GPUs cannot even come close.

the only game the 7870 can't max is witcher 2, at least if you crank the AA all the way up.
Both are good choices. ASRock is a good brand nowdays and it's actually owned by Asus.
Was owned by ASUS, they are an independent company now I believe. Oddly enough, their quality increased after they separated, especially considering ASUS's quality.
GPU
Any other recommendations?
Alright then could you suggest an AMD card that has the same performance as a 660ti for cheaper?
7950 outperforms and can generally be found around the same price or cheaper- let me check.
EDIT:
All these are great cards...

I'd personally say the IceQ or TwinFrozr are the best, but I've heard the Windforce is good too- the Vapor-X is pretty nice too, with vapor chambers.
How about this? http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=67748&vpn=FX795ATDFC&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1257
Not sure about the quality of XFX cards though
XFX used to be really good because of their double lifetime warranty, but they no longer have that, and their cooling solutions are kind of average.
Check my post- I updated it. Those cards I'd recommend over the XFX card.
Rebates don't mean crap- they usually don't go through.
And a 7950 definitively beats a 660 Ti- quit being a damn fanboy. It beats 660 Ti at both stock, and it overclocks better as well.
Also, the 660 ti falls flat with heavy AA (MSAA)

Apparantly Crysis 2 isn't as intensive as I thought it was.
And is the mobo i had fine? I've heard good things about AsRock but some people have told me Asus is pretty damn good as well

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
