So, I'm back again guys.
Before I had a budget of $800, But now I have $1200! That warrants a new thread so no one complains about me necro-ing my old one!
I WILL be OCing, but I am team Intel (call me a fan-boy all you want!). Also, I would prefer a an nvidia GPU so I can use phisX effects in Borderlands 2, without bottle-necking my CPU and ruining my FPS. My actual budget is $1200, but I will be allow some leeway up to $1300. I MUST have a SSD/HDD combo. I require a monitor, headset, and good recording mic. I have no experience recording, so all help is appreciated! Here is my current Build:
Just go with my build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nrX2
EDIT: You do not need a badly priced Nvidia card to max Borderlands 2. The 7950 can max it at 60 FPS easily. Nvidia is badly overrated.
Looks good, and Nvidia are not overrated, they're a great company, but AMD beat them in most things. Also, get a cheaper case, then you can get a 7970;
To be honest though, they kinda are. Everyone seems to go to Nvidia at first glance withought looking twice at AMD.
Its not the FPS loss, its the FPS loss if I take the config of Borderlands 2 and edit it to run the PhisX effects on an AMD processor, It runs of the CPU and it lowers FPS considerably! So please, let me stick with Nvidia! Also, I kinda like the side window on my current case, but if a cheaper one has a window, I'll look into it!

The 7950 is a very powerful card, trust me on this one. The FPS difference would not even be noticeable.
Sorry about the misspell, PhysX. What I mean is that I want the PhysX effects in BL 2. To do this on AMD, which does not have its own PhysX ability, I would have to edit the config to run without it, which would move them to the CPU instead. From what I hear, this can bottleneck the CPU badly and lower FPS. If the change is not bad on i5 3570k, then I will re-think this. Please find me a source against this, but here is mine for it: http://physxinfo.com...-physx-effects/ read all the way to the bottom please! also, I've gotta go, so I'll check this thread in a few hours!

No, it isn't bad on 3570k.
That site looks badly Nvidia biased too.

Neckbeards! Doctor Cichocki does not approve of stupidity and neither do I, stop the spread of damned useless rules!
The holiday issue of Maximum PC said, and I quote, "Since you don't have an Nvidia GPU to render PhysX, it all has to be rendered on the CPU side. Borderlands 2's PhysX effects are pretty heavy, so this can drop your frame rate by quite a bit. You've been warned!"
If you think a i5-3570k can handle this with mild OC'ing, then I'll go AMD.

Thanks, I'll update in a bit!
EDIT: Done!
The idea of getting a 670 is cringeworthy- PhysX or not, a 7970 could outperform it.
And yes, they go for around the same price nowadays.
No, it isn't bad on 3570k.
That site looks badly Nvidia biased too.
Physxinfo.com
Nvidia biased? What would give you that idea?
Dunno, maybe because PhysX is a proprietary NVIDIA TECHNOLOGY (and all of their articles are about PhysX and how much better it is with Nvidia)
If you think a i5-3570k can handle this with mild OC'ing, then I'll go AMD.
Here is the AMD GPU build:

EDIT: Changed the mobo, it was H77 not Z77
I don't even think it's possible to bottleneck the 3570k on normal use as of yet.
Okay, then I'll go AMD GPU! Thanks for your input guys! Now, About a mic and/or headset, any of you guys have a good reccomendation?
Quadfire 7970 would make it the bottleneck
What about quadfire 7990? Would that bottleneck even an i7?
What? I'm lost!
Same thing as quadfire 7970s, unless you mean four cards. If it's four cards then that's impossible with the 7990.
Quad fire is hardly normal use, is it?
