Put in an i3 and bump the graphics card up a bit, you will get much better gaming performance. And plus why are you getting an overclocking processor on a locked down motherboard?
AND DEAR JESUS WHY THAT POWER SUPPLY IS ****. CHANGE IT NOW.
I swapped out the power supply and can you suggest some graphics cards and motherboards that have the ability to overclock?
Im 13. But I completely agree with you guys. Im just saying, in the end, he will order what he wants to order. I've bumped down to an i3 twice, and changed the power supply, both of which he changed back.
Don't think about overclocking in your price range, unless you want to get a shitty gpu. You won't see a boost in performance if you just game. Just get an i3 and a higher end graphics card.
Will this computer work, it seems to be really fast. http://www.tigerdire...7772&CatId=1886
(I have enough money for it so don't ask "but you don't have enough money")
I really like it well because it has the LCD temperature display (lol) and its huge amount of ram.
considering i beat it for $600 not that long ago, it's pretty **** for $830, the temp display is maybe $40, and the RAM is stupidly overkill, since that machine is not built for video editing or using After Effects
How about this one? I'm not going to use it to video edit or be using Adobe after effects on the computer. Just minecraft. http://www.tigerdire...2054&CatId=1886
I AM listening to the suggestions, but I don't want to go through the hassle of building a computer. I know how to (roughly) how to build a computer because I have done so in the past. I just want a computer to arrive at my doorstep ready to go.
I've seen people run shader mods and other resource demanding mods with this video card. The i7 processor has a very high marking on the CPU benchmark. Also with 12 GB of ram I can add lots of ram to minecraft so no more lag!
The total for this is $1,267.49 (shipping is included)
Congratulations on completely wasting your money. You spent $1200 on a computer just to play Minecraft. A $600 computer will play Minecraft just fine and that's including a monitor in the price. 12GB of RAM is absolutely pointless, I only have 4GB and everything runs just fine. You overspent by a lot on this one.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
Core i5 (Gen1, can't remember which one, no gfx)
560Ti (was a 250GTS)
12 GB Ram (Was 4 originall)
Plays fine with 20+ Mods
Lulz PC: (Scrap From Work)
P4 Northwood Core 3.0Ghz (Socket 478)
(One of those few Transitional Boards with DDR1 and PCIe... the card was under utilized.. not enough bandwidth)
1.5GB DDR400 Ram
9600GT
"Played" on lowest settins and small render distance.
The point is unless you TELL minecraft to use a ton of ram, it wont. Even with IC2, RailCraft, BuildCraft, Redpower 2, Smart Movement and a metric CRAP ton of machines working simulatinously, I never saw ram usage go above 600MB, then it promptly dropped to about 350 after the machines finished their tasks (Auto smelt facotry). I have 4GB assigned just in case... never gone about 1GB usage ever.
But, remember this... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't run it on a Xeon 3520... I don't know what it was about that batch of Precision workstation from Dell, but JESUS all Java ran like crap.
Do some research into computers, learn about these things so they aren't magical boxes with purple smoke inside. It'll help in the future when you want to ask about other games as well. Java isn't demanding, but how this game works can be depending on the hardware. Its why some people run garbage, some people run gold... and everyone gets different results.

Forgot to put the link in there- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bUmZ
i changed it with the good power supply

Here this pc will game much better, and is cheaper. You don't need a cpu cooler. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/c4Ic

You obviously know nothing. 1Gb of vram is plenty for a single 1080p screen, especially in a not very demanding game like minecraft.

I was talking about OP? It didn't have a video card in it.
And my computer has 1g virtual memory, so yeah I know that would be fine.

Yeah, I thought it seemed like crap, I can always swap it out with a better one. Speaking of swapping it out, what video card would you recommend?

I bought a video card to go with it.
