Pretty good, Tho i wouldnt recommend AMD because it overheats alot under heavy load so you would need some good cooling system for that, and Radeon are good but id prefer Nvidia GTX series but for the budget the things you picked are great! :biggrin.gif:

i don't really plan on overclocking it much but i could always add more powerful fans to the 212, maybe some scythe slipstream's in the case aswell
For gaming, you could upgrade the graphics card to a 6950 if you have the money or a 6870 if you want to save a little. The only way you could upgrade your processor for gaming is unfortunately switching to Intel so no point in doing that. That PSU should last you a while until you decide to get SLI 570/580's then you should probably get something more like 700/800w.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
Do you think the stock cooler is good enough for a 4Ghz oc? Cause thats as high as i would push it.
Phenoms, IIRC, have a hard time getting up to 4GHz regardless of the cooler. Stock should get you to ~3.6, 3rd party air to ~3.9, 3rd party water to ~4.2.
Although, I don't believe Phenoms have the great scaling that Sandy Bridge has. There shouldn't be too much of a difference.
Ok out of dumb curiosity could somebody find a prebuilt (dell etc.) with specifications as close to this as possible? Tying to show my parents how much i can save by building it myself as they belive there are computers with the same specs for less.
My only concern with your specs would be the motherboard. It's good, but Biostar has a bit iffy customer support. Though you should be fine, but if you can, an extra $10 on a better motherboard (if you could find one) would be good.

Take the money you saved and put it to a better GPU.
