Hello, I'm in a search for a good gaming laptop. It must play minecraft smooth at about 100FPS on normal/Smooth lighting. And, I don't prefer alienware as it is kinda expensive here
You could get a Alienware, but since their owned by Dell, thats a problem. Dell are useless in my opinion.
I had a Dell computer last me damn near a decade and though unused now, is still working today. Although it was a desktop.

You could also get one of those Acer ones, they seem to be doing a great job at it.
This Acer laptop I'm using right now is a flimsy piece of crap.

The Dell XPS 15 might be a bit cheaper option for a "gaming" laptop.
I just looked them up on Dell.com. They got them with the second generation Intel i5s and i7s. I could have sworn they had the NVIDIA 460m graphics card. Well now they apparently have moved to a 540M which I know nothing about and am too lazy to go find out.
Despite what people may say about Alienware being overpriced/overrated the M11x is a pretty good deal for a starting price of $999 although the M11x only has a 11' screen. The m15x is pretty good too especially for a 15' but starts to get a little pricey (& heavy lol)
But otherwise like somebody else said check out some of Acer's top of the line laptops, pretty good laptops.
Yes, alienware is not that expensive, however you could get a laptop with about the same specs for a little less. I had a bad experience with Acer (both my notebook and monitor), so i wouldn't suggest them. MSi does have a few good deals though: MSi GT640
Pretty good CPU for minecraft, but not the best GPU.
ASUS has some good ones, too: ASUS G53
Not such a good CPU as its clocked lower, but a better GPU. Also more expensive. But, really, a desktop is much better.
For a gaming laptop, ASUS will probably be the best price for performance. I have a G73, and it runs like a dream. Their G53's and K52's also seem quite nice, the K52 less for gaming, though it could probably run some games on lower settings, but, since its a laptop, that's to be expected.
Thanks
