Okay so I've had this error for about a month now but now it's just really annoying me and none of the methods I've looked up have worked, either being outdated or just not working for me. It prevents me from installing anything like updates or games. I'm running Windows 10 (upgraded from Windows 7) and haven't had this problem at all before this. A common method I see is opening up Services, going to Windows Installer > Properties and then changing something, but I can't. I *should* be admin on my computer (I'm the only user on it) but I can't seem to change anything (everything's grayed out as shown with this: http://prntscr.com/8zifqq) There was another method that had to do with deleting some registry data, but it was before Windows 10 came out and was a different method and some of the folders didn't seem to exist and I didn't want to mess with registry unless I was able to follow it step by step. I'm all out of ideas though and would really appreciate any help. (I've done a virus scan and that didn't help, by the way, before anyone suggests that)
Edit: I don't know exactly what I did, but I think it may have been fixed? Possibly? Hopefully?
