In February 2014 I build my very own budget gaming PC, to fit with the games I wanted to play and record.
Here's the specs:
AMD Athlon x4 760k Black Edition Quad Core CPU
MSI Radeon R9 270 2GB Gaming Edition (Came with BF4)
4GB DDR3 1333MhZ RAM
500w EVGA Bronze Certified PSU
Standard MSI Motherboard (Forgot the Brand Number)
Zalman Z3 Plus Mid Tower Case
Peripherals:
Zalman Gaming Keyboard
Tecknet High Precision 2000DPI Optical Mouse
Turtle Beach X12 Gaming Headset (Former)
Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset (Using Now)
I am using a HDTV as a monitor
How it's going so far:
The PC runs absolutely amazing, I'm able to run BF4 on High at 35-50FPS and most other games at Ultra with 30+ FPS. Running applications like Photoshop is good although After Effects can lag me a little as the minimum requirement is supposedly 8GB RAM.
The overall building of the PC was a little tricky as the case doesn't provide much cable management and I managed to cut myself on one of the edges but overall wasn't too bad. I need a new monitor as this one doesn't look very nice at 1080p.
The total (approx) for my whole build + all the peripherals was a total of around £450 (about $700 or so), so it wasn't too bad for the price considering I can run all the games I want + some future games. I am open to upgrade, the next thing to upgrade for me is the RAM and the CPU. Everything else is fine for me as of now.
