If I wanted to run Minecraft to the fullest. What should change? Built this machine back in 2012 so it's a little older, had a similar thread but realize I posted in the wrong section. I'm a Noob when it comes to Minecraft on PC. I played on PS4, so just now learning how to play modded. And someone mentioned shaders as well but not sure what they are just yet. What should I do to maximize and ensure I can run any modded I'd like?
In general Minecraft is very cpu intensive and not so much gpu (unless you are running shaders) so you'd benefit from a new cpu and gpu. That being said you'd probably need a new motherboard to go along with it but the rest of your system seems well enough equipped to handle the upgrades.

If that was my box, I'd get a better video card and an SSD. The SSD won't make a difference to Minecraft though, I just like things loading fast.
