Been wanting to build a better PC or Upgrade my older Mac Pro for Playing Minecraft and recently acquired a Core i7 3770 Proc and a GeForce 660 Ti 2GB Graphics Card.
I have two options:
Would I be able to build a decent PC for Minecraft with these parts? I'd need to get a Motherboard and PSU obviously (I have plenty of RAM), but if I did, would it be worth it? I like to use 18-25 mods in my game (mostly furniture or decorations) and dont really use Shaders but wouldnt mind givng them a shot as I really like the look they have. The processor is what I am sticking with, but if the GPU needs upgraded, what would be recommended that wouldnt break the bank?
OR
Would I better suited putting the 660 Ti into my Mac Pro that currently has 32 GB RAM in it and runs El Capitan. It also has dual Xeon 2.66 GHZ Procs in it, but I could upgrade those to 3.0 GHZ each. Same question for the graphics card
Trying to see what option would give me the best bang for the buck but also give me a great Minecraft experience...

Thanks for the assistance ahead of time!
That graphics card is the the minimum for a decent shaders experience, but if you all ready have it then go for it.
Just curious, that's all.
