Hi there, I'm ordering the parts for my first pc build next week and I'm curious about one thing.
I plan on getting am i3 6100 at 3.7 GHZ with 4 threads (I think). Paired with an r9 380 4GB.
Would I notice a huge difference using an i5 6400 at 2.7 GHz, that doesn't do hyper threading (again I think) paired with the same GPU?
I plan on playing with intensive shaders such as ultra continuum's and possibly Anti-Aliasing if I can spare the extra power.
I don't plan on playing just minecraft but also games like GTA5, BO2, and BF4. I'm moving from an xbox one so. The i5 isn't a viable option as it beats my budget but I could upgrade to a 6600 later on.
Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
Upgrading from an i3-6100 to an i5-6400 will give you a bit more performance in some games. Minecraft however won't see much boost, since it's mostly a single threaded game.

Yup. Difference should be night and day.
