Yeah, I am in need of a new headset if my DIY repair doesn't work on my current ones.
Budget: Cheapy cheap. I mean, this could be Christmas time before I get them, but I'm still looking for something cheap. I don't mean 20-30$, just nothing like 250$. If they're amazing and worth it, I wouldn't be upset spending 75-100$.
When I was active on here, it was "Kingston HyperX clouds all da way" but now are the Cloud IIs still great? They're at the top of my budget, but if they're amazing..
Sound Quality: Actually not a huge deal to me. Of course, they need to have alright sound quality, but I couldn't be happier with my Teknmotion Yapster Plus headset in terms of sound quality. I guess I just don't have an ear for high quality?
Build Quality: A must. This is my only complaint on the Yapsters. I've had them for 10 months(Which, for a $30 pair of headphones is actually pretty good?) and now the left side doesn't play sound. I accidentally forget to take them off and rip them out, trip on them, drop stuff on them, etc etc. I'd be hoping for 1-2 years out of a 75-100$ headset.
Mic Quality: Again, not a massive deal. All I do is talk to friends really, and they all have 5-10$ headsets so my Yapsters are the best of the bunch. The better the quality, the more happy I'll be, but it's not a huge deal.
Comfort: Again, a must. I love my yapsters. I need something that actually goes around my ear, and not something that sits on it.
I'd probably go with the G430. I have the G930 which is essentially the wireless counterpart, but from what I've heard the G430 is an affordable, and high quality headset.
That's a screenshot from an Australian website, but $79 AUD to USD is around $55ish, which is a great money:quality ratio. If I were to give you one bit of advice, don't use surround sound, it sounds, kind of.. bad, but that being said the regular sound quality is great, as well as, in my opinion the build quality.

Worth checking out.
Thanks for the opinion! I never really looked into these, but at 1/2 the price of the HyperX cloud IIs, they look great!
How do the G930s work? I never even thought about a wireless headset.. That would definitely solve the cord being ripped out of them!

G9303s are practically the same, just wireless (w/ a charger), there must be something special about them in comparison to the G430s for the $90 price difference.

Well, I mean to me, just the ability to be wireless would make up for the price jump if it's actually clear like a wired headset.

I think that's it. Thanks!

I have no problem with it. It's possibly even better than some wired headsets.
