I was looking and realized the h440 doesn't have any drive bays and to install windows 8.1 I will need a optical drive so could I somehow install the optical drive and leave it on the outside with the side panel to temporary install windows 8.1? What should I do?
So basically I put the disc in my current computer and just copy everything from the dis to a usb? Could I install windows 8 from the installer online and then use my serial from the disc I bought?
I you have a disk you just copy everything from the disk onto the pen drive via another computer/laptop
Not quite. OP use a computer you have with a disk drive, put in the windows disk, and instead of install select create media, and pick the flash drive that you plugged into the computer that you want to use. It will automatically set up and format the flash drive the right way, and then when you put together your computer, go into the bios and tell it to boot from USB.

When you put the windows 8 disk into a computer with an OS already installed, it'll ask you if you want to upgrade to windows 8 or create bootable media.

Then you just plug in an 8gb or larger flash drive, select that drive when it promps you to select a drive, and it'll finish everything for you. You'll have a bootable windows 8 flash drive that you can use on your computer you're putting together.
