I'm lazy and just wanted to buy some prebuilt PC from a website, but people keep telling me NOOO so F it, I'll build one. I'll settle with a prebuilt list of what to build lol.
Typed something in on google and came up with this for about a grand that someone put together. The website is http://elitegamingcomputers.com/top-gaming-computers/ for anyone wondering and just to give credit cus I didn't make the list.
It looks good to me, but I'm not a leet computer dude. I'm sure everyone will have their own opinion on what exactly is best, but in general, is this good?
Gaming and boobs. A complete list from someone who really knows what they are talking about is important to me, because although anyone can throw together a PC like myself, that doesn't mean it won't be gimped because of some mismatched hardware. Or things like overheating because I don't have enough fans/airflow or big enough case for everything to fit, or w/e it may be. I refuse to pick and choose on my own cus I just know I will fubar it somehow lol. And then there's trying to budget a build and buying crappy built parts that will break down because I don't know any better. So many factors, I need to be baby fed.

Completely understandable. There's a lot that goes into it, and any part list you throw together will likely get you yelled at by people around these parts.
A first pass at a build would look something like this.
I chose to go with parts that have overclocking capabilities. Having the parts to overclock in 2-3 years when it starts slowing down will likely help you get another year's usage out of them before you want to upgrade. Of course, you'll need to purchase a new CPU cooler when you're ready to do that. For now, you don't seem the type to overclock, but if you get interested in computers, it may be something you want to look into. If not, then you can drop to parts like this.
Still, there's a few changes you can make that could be based on personal preference. The case, for one. You could look into a semi-modular or modular power supply, but that shouldn't really be an issue, especially at lower wattage Power Supplies since they don't have too many cords to begin with.
As for the case, you can browse through them and find one you like, and get some feedback on that. The important thing to remember is that it's what you'll be looking at. Go with something basic looking without a ton of LEDs and fancy looking angles, because they'll get old after a few months. My original build was in the Shinobi that I recommended, and it was a great case. I've since upgraded much past it, but I still recommend it.
One last note: If you need an Optical drive, either buy the cheapest one you can find, or steal one from an old system you have lying around. There really isn't much difference between any of them. Also, the build you linked came in at $1090, btw.
If you say that is a good build for about a grand, then I will go with it and trust you, as I have not other options really besides trying to look up builds on youtube.
The case looks nice to me. I like clean simplistic looks. Browsing through cases on pcpartpicker, the fractal designs have really caught my eye, are they ok to use? I just picked the one with the most reviews lol http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcadefr4blw
I don't know anything about the different power supplies. Whatever works is good with me. I notice some builds include cooling stuff, do I need to worry about that with your build? Also OS I have heard people have different opinions about. I no NOTHING, I still use Vista
I have a couple old PC's I can jerk a disk drive out of.
I wouldn't spend a thousand on a machine. I've seen people who built computers that are great for $300-$400. I'd also agree with BKrenz, as I myself stole an optical drive from an old PC and it works fine. Also got a nice hard drive (320GB, which before you say sucks, my old one had 12GB lol). I bought an Antec VSK-4000E case because I wanted something better than a stock case with my Compaq Presario and it is simple and nice. Plus only $30 on Amazon, though you can probably buy more sucky ones for $20. The case I have works fine, but I'd get standoffs for it if you decide to buy. Anyhow, I'm planning on building a $200 PC (Just a PSU, processor, motherboard, graphics card, maybe RAM) when I have enough. But seriously, if I had $1000, I'd use $500 as my budget and the rest for whatever I want.
I'm sorta thinking long term when spending a grand, so I don't need to change stuff in the near future. The way I see it is, spend it now rather than later lol. I do also need to get a new monitor, keyboard, and mouse which won't be cheap, so I have thought of dropping the PC down to about 700, but I feel dirty doing that lol.

Lol thats a joke. OP's build will smash any sub $600 build into the ground.
OP, your build looks good at a first glance, you can probably get the 290 for closer to $400 though. And you don't want a 120gb boot SSD?
SSD = solid state drive? What is that for? I don't know anything. I stopped PC gaming back in BF2/CCS/WOWBC lol. I don't know a dam thing now.
Yes solid state drive. Think booting windows in 10 seconds, installing games/programs faster, half second loading screens in games, stuff like that. In your budget I would get something like the Crucial MX100 128gb, it's only about $75 and that's plenty of space to put windows and a few games on.

Yeah, games load instantly and such. You'll be the first loaded into LoL, BF4, whatever. Oh and no reading the tips on the loading screen of skyrim anymore haha. But don't get that one, Kingston switched up the NAND modules they were using to lesser ones without telling anyone. The Crucial MX100 is really the king of SSD price/performance right now. If you wanted to get a little faster and spend a little more, the Samsung EVO drives are also very good.

I type in Crucial MX100 on pcpartpicker and don't see it, does it have a different name?
Is a Radeon the way to go? I sorta have an affection for GeForce because I had a 8800 gt oc bfg (or wtf ever it was, I think that's what it was called) That thing let me play crysis on a PC worthy of vomit. It ended up going fubar cus it was running at 110c and fried. I think it also somehow fried my logitech G15 keyboard cus they were both dead the next morning lol... -.- That card is legendary as far as I'm concerned, cus I didn't download a program to check the temp until years after I got it, so that thing was running way over heated forever lol. RIP
I'm actually still on that same PC, it's from 05 or 06 I think lol...

Right now AMD offers more performance in each price bracket, the only place Nvidia wins right now is in power consumption with the 60w 750ti(but the 260x is faster for the sameish price), and the 780ti just because it's the absolute fastest. So unless you need a specific nvidia feature, get an AMD card.
The 290 is as fast as a 780 for $100 less, the 280X is equal/faster than the 770 for about $30-$50 less. Both of those cards will destroy 1080p.
I changed the ram even though idk what I'm lookin at, I just recognize the name and it has good ratings.
I changed the case cus I think its sexy
Added a SSD as TheRacker suggested.
Motherboard and CPU I don't know crud about so I won't mess with it.
Oh, does this need cooling stuff with this case or w/e? I don't want it all to go up in flames. It doesn't gotta be this case, I just like the design of it.

Most "great" builds we suggest spend that much on the graphics card.

I'm just trying to make sure I get it good. I don't have a strict budget, I just rather not go to far over a grand.

Ah so it's super duper storage. So if I'm obsessed with dora the explorer world dominator, I can load up that game really fast if I save it on there? I am interested in including that Is this good?

Just use the filters on the right side to only search for Crucial SSDs, and you should be able to find it. Also BKrenz posted a link.
